I'd be happy to be stable over $800 by Xmas.

A real gift would be to reach $930USD which would be a new CAD ATH.
I would really like it to be able to stay stable because everytime it has risen this fast in the past it comes down just as much as it rose to such levels.
So good luck to everybody that is predicting that this will be the new high for other currencies.

Eh, that would be greet but it's not going to be more than 800$ this year, maybe it's price will be between 730-750 despite today's price 763$. Wishes are wishes and bitcoin was created by satoshi, not by santa so it means price will be like it's today and it was some weeks ago.
Nothing is impossible and if that happen, well I'll sell half of my bitcoins immediately.

Though I very much want us to get there, getting there in 3 weeks wouldn't be good.   It might be damn fun, like all bull markets and bubbles are, but we'd crash hard.

Plus I don't have enough accumulated.  Need to buy a hell of a lot more before the trip to the moon.

Maybe people are now receiving bitcoins as Christmas gifts.

I've been giving paper wallets containing $5-$10 worth of BTC as stocking stuffers for years now.

I figure it's 2 gifts in 1: enough Bitcoin to buy a beer and for those new to Bitcoin, a chance to learn.

Preaching about Bitcoin is a losing prospect. People will figure you're trying to promote some scam. Give them something worth something and they'll take the time to learn how to use it.

Win-win.

In Christmas time people buy gifts so they sell their coins for fiat and the bitcoin price ought to come down, but I've observed that the reverse is happening.
Maybe people are now receiving bitcoins as Christmas gifts.

Will we find this gift under our tree?

No, I don't think so but I'd love to be proved wrong. I can't see a rise like that being a reality in such a small space of time with no real great news making it possible.

May be $800 not $1000 by Christmas as there is not much time remaining to reach Christmas this year. May be we will see $1000 by next year Christmas   WinkGrin

Actually its good to have stable price rise by making floor on some points, we need to create floor in $750 or $800 now and than with another pump we can easily cross $900. Better not to have quick pump and quick dump..

Exactly. The slow and steady rises are much better than the huge rises then huge falls. This way it's just good returns rather than a penny stock that's flying all over the place. I think $800 or $850USD is very realistic.

Usually for Christmas people need money to spent on gifts and many other stupidity Wink so i don't think that price will go up so much. My prediction is also around $800 - $850 ant the end of December.

I do not think so. There is a small chance that a price pump like that would happen, even a smaller chance of it happening without a big dump right after the price pumps. That speculation is rather random, I do not think the price will rise much before 2017 comes.

It is not impossible that this happens,a few days ago the price was 730$ and today on most exchanges is around 770$,while in China price is close to 800$ and it is around 792$.We only need 10$ rise per day to reach 1000$ by Christmas, but many will sell long before that causing a drop in price.

I would personally like to see stable 800$ at the end of this year,it is more realistic and in the long term much better for BTC

There is no assurance that the price of bitcoin will going to touch in $1k value for me it is impossible that the price can be hit at $1k value.
I feel that the price will hit in 800 value because it is nearly to happen..  since the price is already 770 so the possibility that the price will tocuh in 800 value but for $k value for me it takes long time before we can see the price touch in 1k.

I think the maximum that the price will go before the end of this year should be not more that 800$, the price is very stable since the summer. You could see the pattern that the price rise slowly but not increasing like a Lamborgini at his full speed on the highway.

I will be very happy if the price could reach 1000$ Wink

Yeah, high possibility me thinks. Im thinking we wont stop by and look at that magical 4-figure number for another half a year, we can get accelerated and move much higher than that. Since gox's ATH was around 1241 USD, my selling target would be not less than 1400 USD by march, making btc the top ruler in the fintech space again.

well, the increase in early december BTC is really impressive. most likely, prices will continue to rise bitcoin indeed, might even reach $ 1,000 by the end of the month. Well, I just hope it really will be stable. but, I'm not sure if BTC at $ 1,000 by Christmas

there wasn't any news for previous rises to late 700s either. there doesn't really have to be and i don't think positive news ever has much immediate effect.

i think we have to start to be satisfied with $800 and possibly another jump rope play for bitcoin over this price with another +$20 fluctuation.

i am surprised though to see 770+ price today. because it is mostly out of nowhere for me, there is no news going on that can be associated with this rise.
