Yes, Bitcoin's price always influences the Altcoin. If Bitcoin will pump obviously Altcoin will dump. And when Bitcoin dumps Altcoin will pump. Sometimes it goes to 2x or more.

I feel something fishy about ongoing processes in markets. Big altcoin sell orders are disapperaing in bittrex but 5 minute later same order appears on poloniex. Prices are heavily speculated by traders and end of story doesnt look like good...

We know that the markets are manipulated by whales because it is not regulated so they can do whatever they can. For us small time traders, we need to know or at least have an idea of what the whales are doing so that we can ride their trades. Many professional traders can read the market and can identify an unusual movement that's why they are profitable so for us or at least for me, I need to always be careful with my trades because a lot of manipulation is going on so we should always protect our funds by having stop loss in place and not be greedy when the price goes up as the prices in altcoin is very volatile and pumps and dumps happen more often.

As per observation, When btc rises alt-coin such as eth also soars up, as well when it goes down, There's a correlation in btc vs all other forms of alt coin, and if you en cash alt coins, every token shall convert first to btc before it goes to final destination. This is the reason alt-coin needs BTC. Alt-coin rely mostly on the path of BTC.

I noticed that most times when btc is rallying almost all of the altcoins dip. and when there is a crash in btc all altcoins suffer as well. my interpretation is that for the first alts can't sustain the price against the $ if btc is high. and for the second, everyone is panic selling btc.
what do yo guys think ??

Basically, altcoin comes from BTC so therefore, whatever the effects of BTC is, expect the same effect in altcoins. If they did not go with the same flow it is because of the different issues or news that are happening in the world. Social media sometimes play a great role with the price stability of the cryptocurrency so expect the great price change in every situation.

because most if not all altcoin are traded with btc pair, and most invested in altcoin using bitcoin as their base currency.
so yeah, it is somehow related in price movement when there are big news.
That matched to the situation where bitcoin face a dip and alt has the same effect. Bitcoin has very well got its place and created a dependency on other alts. On someway bitcoin created its place to decide the market trend of other altcoins. I mean bitcoin used to buy altcoins. Good promoting without intention.

Yes it's a fair situations and I think the effect is not that worst because bitcoin is now really gaining it's good price as well. If we are speculating any negative effects, then I must stay intact with the priciple of holding for future profit. Those altcoin that drops its value, its not an effect of bitcoin price surge, but rather fluctuations from dumps of sellers. Same as what happened with bitcoin previously, more sells happened due to investors needed fiat yet they exchanged their holdings to cash and thats normal with digital currency.

There is a movement that is well established. People come to crypto thru BTC so, when there is hype like this and a strong movement of BTC some of the money returns to BTC from alts. When BTC price establishes a bit some of that money come back to alts and all the market moves up. Of course there are pumps and dumps in the middle as well. So with so much cheap alts around or so much time and lots of new money in BTC we should expct a market increase soon. And off course BTC will keep uping as well.

In my assessment in this things, according to what I read here in the forum. When bitcoin goes up rapidly, most of the altcoin goes down, there are few altcoin only is getting higher, which I don't know if it is just a pump only. Then when bitcoin down most altcoin was getting higher. That's was just my opinion only.
Btc goes up because everyone sells alts and convert them to bitcoin. If you check total marketcap there are some interesting circulating numbers.Total cap is same and bitcoin price continues in uptrend channel.

Sometimes that was just a coincidence that bitcoin and some altcoin price chart go the same way. There are times that bitcoins is increasing its price but some of the altcoins are bleeding like happening this week because of the upcoming fork. Afterall bitcoin is the king of all coins so it slightly affects the price of other coins.

Everybody is pulling money out of their altcoins into BTC to wait for the hardfork and collect their bitcoin gold. But as long as there are hardforks on the BTC agenda, don't expect a large pullback.
And how long do you think that's gonna last? How many chain splits are there going to be?

There will be no chain or coin split that will happen. Hard fork is an upgrade of nodes in the network and it doesn't harm bitcoin.
While bitcoin gold isn't a result of hard fork instead it's more likely an airdrop that we can get during the hard fork.
That's why many are holding their coins tight to get the equivalent of it. Well, who never loves airdrops anyway?

This is the usual case. Prices of bitcoins go up then altcoins go down, but when prices of bitcoins go down prices of altcoins go up. It has never failed. So right now prices of altcoins are very cheap, probably this is the best time to buy alts and dump some btc as probably this is another all time high that will just be an all time high. It will probably go down in a few days or weeks then prices will then again move sideways. Or if a trader prefers not to buy altcoins, selling at all time highs like this for fiat is another option which is the next big thing. Then just buy back when prices dumps.

Alt coins are almost entirely traded based on bitcoin and when most of the investors want to buy bitcoin at one time, they tend to sell their altcoins to get the BTC. That's why we see Bitcoin rise with altcoin dip. Also when bitcoin crashes, averyone in panic, so alcoin dip is there too..

I see a break in btc at the moment, everybody is buying ether now. Perhaps it is the moment for the altcoins now?
Altcoin is a good coin but it is only good if you are planning for day trading or short term investment. Bitcoin is the top rated coin in the world of crypto currency. Bitcoin had not only affected the market of altcoin but so many other coins as well. Bitcoin is taking control over the market in such a great way. Most of the investors are very much interested in bitcoin investment.

I think Bitcoin and Altcoin is interconnected indirectly. Price chart and the top altcoin have almost the same graph, but they can alos different sometimes

Nice observation, yup when BTC is in the acceleration phase or Bitcoin rally. Altcoin prices are falling down.
But I noticed one thing. ETH price in USD is also souring high during the BTC rally.
So instead of keeping BTC during the Bitcoin rally. I buy it with ETH as it gives me higher profit in USD.

I noticed that most times when btc is rallying almost all of the altcoins dip. and when there is a crash in btc all altcoins suffer as well. my interpretation is that for the first alts can't sustain the price against the $ if btc is high. and for the second, everyone is panic selling btc.

really?? if that so should i sell all my eth now in usd? im really having a hard time learning trading but I reaaally am eager to learn. haha im stuck at eth im just patiently waiting for the correction if there will be..

The correction will come but not just soon. It is expected when the fork comes.
The fork should cause more sharp movement in the market, which could lead to a rush in temporal sell off of bitcoin.

Meanwhile, as for learning to trade, is nice. Make your mistakes and understand why you made the mistake so you don't keep repeating it. If you are lucky, you might learn from other's mistakes. Determination and patience will help you. Do more research.

yes I realized that cryptotrading is continuous learning. I should never stop updating myself on trendz
