Since bitcoin is the father of all crypto currency, it will always be the most popular coin. On the other hand, the ETH is developing and this coin has a lot to develop. I would prefer ETH, after all.

why should I choose it would be better if you invest in both, namely investing in ethereum and investing in bitcoin, and that will double your profits. 
It is not correct to compare these 2 coins.

Personally, I prefer etherium, but bitcoin will still be the first and will stay on top!
I would include bitcoin and ether in my investment crypto portfolio. I think that by the end of the year the market will show growing dynamics.

Obviously btc cause it is the king of crypto currency, it has the highest price in crypto currency. At the end of this year it will cross upto 20000$.
Both of them is cheap and I believe that they will rise at bull market and I expect ethereum can get more profit of course. You can think Neo instead of btc, Neo can increase to 150 200 dollar again easily.

I am sure Ethereum will be more popular then BTC, looking at a graph my technical analysis shows that, right now it is good to buy ETH (0.058) and a perfect level to buy from is 0.0452, targeting 0.1247, 0.17 and 0.2311 in the longer term. Although for this targets to come you need to be very patient and it make take up to a year or so.
I believe that many will switch to the ethereum. Because anything would need to have a lot of resources. And since the ethereum is cheaper, less resources are spent.
I think BTC still keep the leader position in the market in 2018.
Bitcoin is one of the coins in the form of cryptocurrency which has the highest price and is expensive while Ethereum currently has a high price movement, but I think both BTC and ETH coins have positive potential for crypto in 2018.
Ethereum is substantially the big protagonist of this year, i wouldn't be surprised if it will overcome bitcoin market cap until the end of 2018. It's used for 98% of ICOs nowaday.
I will first give kudos to the team of developers behind the ethereum project basically because they have really tried that's basically why we are talking about it this day. We all know that btc still has great value and price. Btc is also the pathfinder in this cryptocurrency business. All said and done, i will prefer to share my investor into the two cryptocurrencies at the ratio of 50/50.
this is all that I can say about it. 
No other cryptocurrency will beat Bitcoin yet as being the number one cryptocurrency in the market today. It will only happen if large numbers of investors will boycott Bitcoin and transfer their money to other coins in the current market. It's really difficult to predict what will happen in cryptocurrency world but based on my observations the cryptocurrency era will last forever.
