I don't know what happened to Punjab in the middle of the tournament they started well and played some great matches in between but once again faced the same feat they face each year, i don't know if it's luck or what but they have such a good team on paper and yet they fail to materialize that team in reality which is really disappointing.

Punjab had a strong squad. But no player of the team could play well in all the matches regularly. After scoring 190 runs in two matches, Punjab lost. Again, they have given low run targets like 133, 137 and 115 runs. We could have seen the Punjab team in the play-offs if the players could have performed a little more responsibly. Punjab had enough talented players in both batting and bowling side.

Punjab didn't disappoint me as expected. SRH have been struggling like crazy during the 2nd half of this tournament which is why it wasn't surprising to see Punjab win comfortably against them.

SRH seriously need to look into changing their entire team management since they have been underperforming for the last couple of seasons(Warner issue, bad selections etc). Also, excited for the playoffs stage.

This really was unexpected everyone was expecting DC to bear MI as ofcourse DC is an in form team against MI who have struggled in the whole tournament, but anyways this make sures that RCB is going for playoffs now, even though I am not a great fan of RCB but I really want them to win the IPL this year, but if they do Kohli would face even more critcism for his captaincy in past.

Environment at stand was interesting and bizarre at the same time. Whole stadium was chanting RCB RCB RCB, Kohli Kohli and they were wearing Mumbai's jersey Tongue

. Felt very bad for the Rishab but he only has himself to blame for the last night blunder.

Anyway we have dead rubber fixture tonight.

Two team that impressed me the most this season was the newcomers Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants and i wont be surprised if any of the them end up winning the tournament. Rajasthan Royals also played well throughout the tournament and their potential is their powerful batting unit and later on started defending totals as well

Expected MI to win comfortably against DC and I was right. Got a margin point after a long freaking time. DC has been inconsistent throughout this season. They were over-dependent on Warner, Powell etc.

Also, it's not just DC who played like they weren't desperate. Teams like KKR, SRH, Punjab etc also played in a similar fashion recently. This is one of the reasons why ratings dropped this season.

Ethical mind aka Ashwin Anna reinventing himself in T-20 format. He's definitely having fun with the bat, in this season i've seen all avatars of Ashwin. Economical bowler, Powerplay pinch hitter, Accumulator and last night the Finisher. Tongue

In 14 matches he scored 183 runs with the average of 30 and freaking 146 SR. Also bagged 11 wickets with 7.14 ER.

I think if RCB qualifies there are good chances that final would be between GT and LSG only but if DC wins and qualify, i feel there are more chances for DC to go through the finals because of thei recent form against all the teams but anyways there is a 75% probability that we are getting a new winner of IPL this time and even if it's RR it's after 14 long years so it's like a new one only. Thankfully no MI,CSK,KKR in the list.

I'm expecting a final between the team getting into the fourth position against Gujarat Titans. And the final being won by the fourth team. That would be very interesting, because entering the playoff at the last moment and further making two wins to enter the final and winning the trophy will be more interesting.

Yeah, ideally it should be done n dusted with in 50 days but loony officials wants to milk every penny and in return broadcaster also wants the same.

In meantime umpiring and commentary standard going down dramatically. Willing to give benefit of doubts to on-field umpire because they are bound to make some mistake due to human error but 3rd umpires have no excuse of all.

And tbh i'm more pissed at commentary. After every ball they are pitching for Chips, swiggy drive, Cred, Tata bla bla.

This particular season is way too long thanks to the introduction of 2 new teams. Personally, I am slowly losing interest in this season just like many others. They should go back to 8 teams or fewer matches with 10 teams from next season onwards.

This could help increase viewership ratings once again. Let's see if the BCCI learn from the mistakes that they made during this season.

Delhi's chances of winning against Mumbai seem high. Mumbai's performance is very erratic. However, Mumbai's chances of victory are not low. Because at the moment the performance is almost unpredictable. Even if Delhi does not qualify for the next round, if Hyderabad or Punjab may win their next match, then Bangalore's chances of qualifying for the playoffs are slim.

So, finally, Virat Kohli played really well and played an innings that had some importance in winning his team the match.

RCB knew that they had to get their run rate better. They really tried to do that so. But I have to say they did not get that net run rate a lot better, to be honest.

Now we have to wait and watch what happens in the next match of Delhi Capital versus Mumbai Indians. If Delhi Capital wins they will overtake RCB because of a better net run rate.
I really wish RCB can get promoted to the next stage because I really want to see if Virat Kohli can play well just like he did in this match.

Margin points keep running away from me again and again recently. I thought RCB won easily against GT, but it turns out that they won comfortably thanks to Superbru's rules.

RCB are still in the hunt for the playoffs thanks to their easy win against GT and their NRR got a great boost, but DC still has the upper hand currently. It looks like one of these teams is going to occupy the final spot in the playoffs.
