2017-08-30 Did you know you can trade on Bitshares built-in decentralized exchange with ~2x leverage?
https://steemit.com/bitshares/@eosfan/did-you-know-you-can-trade-on-bitshares-built-in-decentralized-exchange-with-2x-leverage

2x leverage, not bad

This is not true. Check your math. With 1.75x collateral you have only 1.33x leverage, which is not bad too, but not as good as 2x leverage.

In practice, your collateral should be larger than minimum, like 2x, and with 2x collateral you have no leverage, unfortunately.

Guys can somebody say about eos and bitshares. I heard that developer of bitshares started new project - eos.
So this mean that bitshares have now less potential?

Just one of the developers, Dan Larimer (who created graphene tech) built bitshares, steem, and now building EOS on graphene. Many of the developers are still working on each project and it's considered part of graphene ecosystem. Dan was instrumental to bitshares fix recently with his contribution. From what I can see, BTS is likely to become a dapp as EOS sidechain, but it hasn't been established. Meanwhile they are working on things like trustless bitcoin bridges to allow high frequency trustless margin trading with everything including trustless bitCNY/bitUSD on bts chain not possible anywhere else.

It's unlikely it will be abandoned, more like EOS has become bell labs for Bitshares e.g.

https://steemit.com/bitshares/@kayahan/bitshares-ceo-stan-larimer-hints-at-eos-bitshares-bts-collaboration-in-bitsharesdex-telegram-chat

p.s. see news like bitspark using bitshares for remittances. unlikely to go away anytime soon.

I have now bought about 35k of BTS.This is a very good project for long-term investment, because it should be the pinnacle of the future. It provides the best work solutions for many things. The most important reason for investment value is to return to the original position after a few weeks.

An old but good article was linked in telegram this week and i thought it might be useful for some newer viewers to at least know that Bitshares Stealth is an option. Question: those gateways, for example Rudex, are they centralized? If I send coins via such a gateway, where are they stored? Are they safe?

those are so called UIA (User Issued Assets), they are basically working like coins on a centralized exchange. just more transparent, but centralized

Hey favdesu,

thanks for answering. I understood it now. I also found the info on the web app where they explain the risks of gateways vs. bridges. I left quite a lot of coins within a gateway, but now withdrew them to my wallet. Better safe than sorry, like always Wink

exactly, better use bitshares and bitusd from now on Smiley

You guys think it can be profitable to invest in BTS right now?
I would like to hear an opinion from someone who's in this alt for some time.

I have bought about 35k BTS at current price range. It is very good project for long term investment because it should one of the top in future. It provides best working solution for many things at the same time. Most important reason to invest it's value is down if you watch at few weeks back where it was.

The project began in 2014, why is there such a weak news background? is there another branch?
