I'm very glad to announce that Loyaltycoin is using Bitshares technology to implement the first real life blockchain solution, where the blockchain is used to represent real assets, I mean the possibility to spend these assets in real shops, in a loyalty program.

Too sad that there is a hardly a crypto that remains stable more or less in price when BTC rises. Bitshares is actually well positioned to resist the dump, but in the end it also drops regardless.

Holy that was some insane dumping. In such times even good news can't do anything to keep the price up. Hoping for quick recovery.

BTS trial, really strong feeling, the future development of space is very broad. I just don't see if the BTS team is a tech geek Completely do not know how public relations marketing, so excellent, but has not too many people pay attention to, a message is not, will know every day to write code Even if you can go to Mars, you have to know, right? We should learn Chinese people to hype up quantum, ant routines, and at least BTS applications and prospects are much better than others.

I think maybe he is wondering if you receive any kind of dividends from holding BTS, rather than reinvesting BTS into for instance OBITS. At least I wonder about this.

no dividends, there are however assets that are meant to give out dividents on top of BTS.

I like to think of running btsbots.com bot is my divident and helps the exchange Smiley

There's also a referral system for earning a bit on side too you can find in FAQ

OBITS is openledger's thing, not directly bitshare's. openledger is a third party effort to build stuff on bitshares, including ICOO, OBITS, companies they help move onto bts, they run one of the UI websites and one of the gateways.

There's a new bitshares improvement protocol to make it easier to give out dividents for tokens.

What's the utility/purpose of the Bitshares coin within the Bitshares decentralized exchange?

Do Bitshares coin holders get the trading fees (are there any?) from the Bitshares decentralized exchange?

Thanks

It's the basis currency for blockchain, like including rewards + fees (although through currency pools you can pay fees with some tokens too)

Bitshares lets you vote and help fund and change the bitshares network through workers (there's stuff on that in original post) or even just select a proxy to vote for you if you are busy.

Bitshares was the first DAC or more commonly now called DAO, before Dash and Ethereum. The entire blockchain works through delegated votes for witnesses as well. http://docs.bitshares.org/bitshares/whatis.html

You can also use BTS as collateral to borrow smart coins like bitCNY or bitUSD into existence which are kept at CNY or USD value through smart contracts, redeemable for that much worth of BTS by settling by anyone in their possession.

There's fixed number of them total as well.

Hope that helps.
