Has anyone received an ASIC miner from BFL that can verify they are shipping?  What is the lag time?

So im still really confused about BFL are they legit because i see them all over ebay but the sellers are all using the same pics
and if they are can someone prove they have one with pics and outputs and if not then why dont we just say it lol
Before you buy read as much as you can about the company, the history and the people running it, the CEO and most important of all go look at their forum and read as many good posts as the bad one. Look around and get a feel for the customer service and what products have been shipped and how long people have been waiting.

In my opinion VERY HIGH RISK!!

Thanks for the tips and i have been doing this but im just getting really confused because its very conflicting
but im sure its just FUD to either lower the demand or cripple the comanys batch launches however i dont see that happening

just reading threads such as them selling their chips separate are really confusing but ill work through it and as i said thanks for the tips

I have already made my mind up but I have done a great deal of reading. I have been here ever since I ordered in Oct of 2012 and cancelled in Jan 08 of 2013. I have followed every update and read both the good and bad posts. I have followed Inaba through either his incompetence or deceit. Depends how you perceive it. These are my opinions formed from what I have read. If you are new to this you will unfortunately need to make up your own mind.

You will also need to understand where bitcoin is these days and understand how fast the difficulty will rise by the time you get your unit. This is important to understand because if you get it later your ability to use it to make money will be more difficult.

The rate at which bitcoins difficulty is rising is about 18% every 2 week so far and that can change for better or for worse.

Its not as simple as buying a miner and making money. Really think what your getting in to.

I'm not telling you to not buy from them I'm just saying that at this point and time make sure you get it quickly.

Paypal can't be used for pre-orders? OMG What happens when Paypal finds out that BFL was doing pre-orders back as far as Oct 2012?

It's sucky that you can't buy any hardware at the moment that offers a decent ROI.  Sad

Consider that when we moved into the realm of ASICs, it would be more profitable for the producers to keep ASICs and mine than sell them (note: I'm not accusing BFL of doing this). Hence the price. Competition might have kept things down hence the low price for round 1 of the Avalon ASICS (they were expecting competition from BFL. In fact, by my understanding, were developed to provide competition to BFL. Then suddenly the developer found he had a working product and no competition. Whoops).

I am really thinking about creating my own business where I take pre-order money for a Perpetual motion device. Do you guys think $150 is too much? Should I charge more like $49? What is the limit for your carelessness?

Ask pirateat40, who ripped off people for much, much more than that and is laughing at the fools he suckered to this day, with zero consequences.

I haven't given up hope... but I also don't have the investment in hardware that others do. I purchased a 4.5GH/s miner (Think it was a Jalapeno, could be wrong) back in March, and it is supposed to be shipped in June... but I'm past the point of really caring, so honestly if it shows up by Christmas, I'll be happy.

"There's a sucker born every minute".  A sucker that doesn't care about $150.

So you just threw money at a purchase not even understanding what it was? You put 5000 in a calculator that had BFL adverts all over the page and followed one to the pre-order page. Now after months you begin to suspect there is a problem after reading that other people from months before you are having the same issues?

But you still hold faith because that would mean you got suckered and you're not a sucker right? How could you fall for such a deception after all there are laws against this, protection services. Right?

Well it's not like you bought it through PayPal and waited over 4 months now because it would be very difficult to get your money back now right? If BFL refuses to but they still refund money back, So you're now thinking "ah it's only 147 bucks it's not that much to bother complaining.....

Did I get it somewhat right?

Ya gotta hope it isn't total BS but there sure are a lot of indicators pointing the wrong way. I bought a mini in March. I see they shipped 3 days worth of Jale's (still in process) so I figure I will have mine by the time 30gh/s is outdated.

Would have been awesome if someone asked if he could bfgminer with it, since he is waiting for his own and wants everything ready. Any good company would have said: Here is your usb cable, you have 45 seconds.

And this is how Josh/BFL handle such situations: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlWrmIqGs3Y&t=2m48s

ROFL...  'hey what's this thing you're selling?'  'F U idiot'

great PR!

BFL Scam ? no. its just not as a lucrative business option as they promised on pre-order launch. Every customer will recieve their units, but on arrival will be earning the same as GPU'ers are now.

Maybe, who knows...... we'll see.
