We have each choice in obtaining tokens. Depending on the interest we have. If we have experience and enough knowledge in investing, it would not hurt you to use the opportunity now to invest some of your money in crypto. My advice, buying some eth will not make you regret in the future. Because eth price is stable and far from decline.
It would be a good idea to get somealtcoins simply looking at it as the way to deversify your investment portfolio and have less risk than the risk you have when holding only one particular coin.
Sure you should buy altcoin. Because it brings more profit than bitcoin investment. But you keep track and analyze altcoin very carefully before deciding to invest in it.

In my own personal opinion, before you invest you should buy a coin that is worth to invest and not a scam for you to have a good long term investment. But if you don't know about altcoins you better not to invest or buy, you should know first how it all works and to know if it is a scam or not. 
buy altcoin you can make it as one of the best investment options because altcoin is now a lot of its kind and you can choose altcoin that has good potential to serve as one of buying and selling. so I think altcoin is not a bad choice and you can understand that.
Altcoins is one of the best way to grow your money or bitcoin so why we have idea to not invest to altcoin. Advantage of the altcoin once the price increase you can get high profit in the future. The disadvantage is risky because the price dump or decrease anytime but you can prevent it by think wise what coin is good to invest and better to have support like having extra money.
Buying an alt coins is a good choice, but choose an alt coin with high potential just like Ethereum. Or you can go to marketcap, you will see all alt coins, then choose the right coins for you.

It is best to invest in new promising altcoyins at the ICO stage. Then you can get much more X than after the coin goes to the exchange, a very serious analysis of the project is needed. Only in this case you can get in the future the coveted X.
