Major top altcoins are good for long term investment but if you need money quickly you should consider Bitcoin, it's very good for short term and long term investment and the risks is limited unlike altcoins

The major altcoins in the market or simply the top rank crytocurrencies that you see in the Coinmarketcap is totally suited for the long term investment. To be honest, it is worth it to invest in major altcoin and I know majority of members here are holding different top performing altcoins such as Ethereum, Ripple, Binance Coin and many more.
Thats true popular coins are still the best when it comes to long term investment. Holding well-established coins has an advantage compared to new coins because you dont need to worry that it might become shitcoins in the future. Major altcoins are still good to invest, I still recommend to invest in major altcoins for long term because most of the major altcoins has potential to increase more and can survive for long.
.That's true only lunatic people will risk their money on those new projects. Almost all of new projects being introduced even at IEO of major exchange still go down and its really not that feasible unless the project can sustain value and liquidity. But this market is full of clowns who keeps playing with this.
Just think about this, those altcoins have started to be a small project in the beginning and have survived the bloodbath, which is normal in crypto market cycle.
This indeed the right way, but in terms of progress like the previous pioneered project such as eth, eos, trx they are totally different with these new ones whom only thinking is making value and trade in more exchange. We need something that focus on platform and real use cases. Not only value at market.

But have you seen it yourself if they really are? As far as I can see, its price is starting to grow right now compared to last year, maybe you are considering shitcoins as your major altcoins?
About bispex, sorry to say but I don't use that exchange so I can't provide you a valid statement about their insurance funding.

To OP, the major altcoins in the market will never lose it's value and in fact, every year passes and more people will start supporting it, the more chances it will become more valuable in the future that's why stop thinking that they will gonna lose their value and maybe try to focus on diversifying your investment so once the market will rapidly go up, you can gain better profit.

I have been hearing that even major altcoins are gradually losing its value.
For long term investment purpose, no more investing in major altcoins recommended?
I don't see how top coins are losing their value, if the top coins in the market are losing their value then it's game over for all of us here, I don't see Bitcoin, Ethereum Litecoin Ripple losing their value and these are top coins in the market, what market are you looking at, you should look at these coins and how the market performs closely.

Major altcoins are still good to invest, I still recommend to invest in major altcoins for long term because most of the major altcoins has potential to increase more and can survive for long.

Good morning community. From my point of view, not just waiting matters, but more exploring. For example, talking about me, I am not just focusing on one or another new product, but choosing the industry and start exploring. So basically, with such an approach I can get deeper into the market. And these days there is a strong product on almost any market

Coins or tokens that are in the top 30 in my opinion are good as a long-term investment. With large liquidity and traded in large exchangers, there is no need to worry about selling difficulties unless there are unexpected events.

I wonder where are you looking at OP because as of now all of the top alt-coins are still making some progress,
And they are still on the top they didn't lose value at all they didn't even lose their popularity.
This is true because top altcoins are still the top choices for investor and this is why many new altcoins can’t last longer because the top altcoins are still performing well. The best example here is the ETH, despite of the price drop, ETH was able to bounce back and go up again and the best thing here is that ETH remains the number 2 crypto currency. When it comes to Investing, it is always good to start by checking out what you want or in this case the type of altcoin you want, and then studying all you can. Most advising people about the type of altcoin to invest doesn't always end well especially when it doesn't go as planned with respect to the nature of the crypto space. Nevertheless, if am to point out my opinion, major altcoins aren't losing value rather they are still dominating and thus good for long term investment; such major altcoins are Ethereum (ETH), Stellar (XLM), Binance Coin (BNB), ADA and maybe LTC. Lastly, holding BTC is also a good investment call.

There is a reason they are called major altcoins, and they have survived for long and keeps maintaining their services and products to remain at the top. Other altcoins what have they done to improve? It is better to hold a token which has survived many bear markets with solid platform than a one which the future is still uncertain. An altcoin like ETH, is the first altcoin which is worthy to be in ones portfolio and it is a major altcoin and it is not losing its value as well. Anyone telling you to look past major altcoins for long term holding is not telling you the truth. If you aren't ready to hold altcoins then hold BTC that's better.

You mean altcoins who have been surviving the market for so long and has secured a spot on the top of the market cap? Just think about this, those altcoins have started to be a small project in the beginning and have survived the bloodbath, which is normal in crypto market cycle. If you compare which is sustainable or best investment either if it is new or old altcoin, I would still pick established altcoins. But you must not forget to do your research too, your money, your investment you must not depend on other people's opinion.
