Bitcoin has a ability to help poor people like bitcoin give a platform to people to earn some money, its up to the people how much they earn from bitcoin and if you are talking about a whole country then it is difficult because bitcoin is not an NGO that will give people free money. Bitcoin is for those who are hard working.
The problem is the knowledge or how they can know bitcoins.. and also how they can earn in bitcoin.. If they are just buy bitcoin and hold i think they will not satisfied to earn few bitcoins because poor people have only a small amount of money to invest in bitcoin so the interest is small everytime the price of bitcoin is increase.
Also we are just few jobs online that paying in bitcoin so all poor is not easily to help them to give a job and earn bitcoin.. but i think for me there is some other way that every street should have a miner or hardware to mine bitcoin and to help poor people in every street.. This is just my idea..

Bitcoin is for those who are hard working.

Not just hard working people, in order to help them we first need the proper infrastructure, that includes proper household, good internet connectivity and minimum knowledge of the bitcoin network along with its advantages and disadvantages.

It is very tough to get this done in poor countries, considering the sheer fact that they are "poor".

I am beginning to wonder, with global economy slowing, a new usa president, it's time that some small country adopts Bitcoin and scripts history. It's price improvement upwards will help them upgrade their resources and by minining more coins they will be able to be a super rich country soon.

hello! Im in a third world country and bitcoin helps me a lot, just have to know the secret on trading and stuff, electricity is expensive here so mining may not be advisable, but since bitcoin has been sloping upward, i was able to make money and planning to buy solar panels to help me with mining, so, yes, i think bitcoin can help poor countries Smiley just have to be resourceful and if you have all the equipments you need Smiley
For help peoples maybe yes, but for all citizens is imposible. Bitcoin only enjoyed by some peoples or groups who understand it, if it is indeed useful, better also introducing bitcoin to other peoples.

Maybe they can create a little local comunity, this guy can talk about bitcoin to 5 people and this people talk to more people so in this way they can start to accept bitcoin and get some coins.

Bitcoin price is always increasing their price so they can earn a little bit more.

i think bitcoin can't help poor country because in poor country. alot of them have a currency not easy to bitcoin help them

It doesn’t matter if there are one or more poor countries because ultimately it’s just a currency. If we as a community can do something for the awareness of bitcoin in those countries then things might change but the basic need of a bitcoin (to send and receive) is internet and not every country has good infrastructure for the internet or technology as a whole. If you want to tell someone about bitcoin in poor country then you have to start with explaining about computer and then internet and then bitcoin. Lack of technology and related education is main problem.

hope that in near future more and more people will realize the importance of bitcoin and they will start using it, most of the people just need a proper introduction of bitcoin, and hope that they will then start taking interest in it.
They will actually realize that but expect as well that not all people will adopt with bitcoin, only few and only those who fully understand it just like us.It will help them as a country if there's a certain rule where the government will intervene to make use of the bitcoin in transactions online.

Good for you, but I am thinking that knowledge alone would make you stagnant if you don't have a capital to start with, and capital alone without knowledge would also make you stagnant... I am from third world country too, but I am thinking that bitcoin won't help poor people if they don't have an "idea" and don't have a "capital" to start with...

We should also teach all of the homeless people worldwide to use Bitcoin. That way they know what all the rich people in wealthy countries do for fun. ROFL
what i have learned in this thread so far is, that they have no way of understanding it, since they all are most likely uneducated, because that is what i imagine homeless people are. o and they are to poor anyways to own a a device or something.

I was being facetious. Who cares if homeless people or poor people use Bitcoin. They don't have any money. That's why they are poor and homeless.
i just do not think poor people have no money. they just don't have much and this shouldn't be a reason to not use bitcoin. poor also dosn't mean you are dumb.
the reason why the country's poor may be one reason is people in the country are also experiencing poverty, do not have jobs and so on, then bitcoin can be very useful for them, provide income and jobs

i think bitcoin can't help poor country because in poor country. alot of them have a currency not easy to bitcoin help them

If there is an easy way of exchanging the local currency to bitcoin and vice versa then I think the picture might be different.

However I believe that bitcoin can help the economy of a person and not the entire country. Changing the economy of a country is a very tough job and it requires huge input for some individual bitcoin group, and I doubt anyone would try to do that in real life.

Exchanges will be on every country in the world, some of them just need time and the necessity of it, you don't will open an exchange where there's no people using bitcoin...

Bitcoin it's something global and this can help poor countries, they can earn more per hour than working in an local store, of course, they need experience to do some online work.
I think online work with bitcoins they are just fewer jobs for bitcoin and i think it can not help poor countries because they are many people or many popluation in every country., but if there is someone that can be sponsor to start a free lancer that paying bitcoin that can give many jobs maybe it can help..

There are several issues which prevent such a direct exchange. The high volatility in the exchange rate is one of the main reasons. It takes up to two hours to get 3 confirmations, and the exchange rates can swing wildly during this time period. Another issue is the legality of Bitcoin. It is not yet clear whether Bitcoin should be considered as a currency, or as an investment asset.

It definitely helps my life FYI but not sure if it help others, it must be depending on how we use bitcoin and I am pretty sure some people are using it for gambling and mostly poor people does, and we know in gambling people loses more than he win so it would not help for them.

This does not help the poor in overall unless the government will push bitcoin.
