I am pessimistic the existence of bitcoin can help poor countries, if it makes the person or group might be able to. No countries which only depend on one sector of the economy, let alone the bitcoin.

Who told you that these countries will solely depend upon Bitcoin? Bitcoin earnings will be supplementary. Bitcoin can help poor people to cut down their expenses. For example, Western Union and Moneygram charge as much as 15% for remittance payments to certain countries. Usage of Bitcoin can bring this down to less than 5%.
yeah other than that bitcoin will also provide income to the people of the country if they were able to take advantage of bitcoin. certainly it would make the total poor people will be less and at least make the country helped

It's a good idea, all people will be easy to send money so that aid to poor countries be receive directly. From the other side of the economy can also be utilized for the mining venture bitcoin.
Honestly it's true, with the support of the government it would be possible to help poor nation but they have to sacrifice the current player in the remittance business. With bitcoin it's cheap and fast so I do not find any reason why this should not be supported.
Don't you think that such system when bitcoin will be kind of legalized for international transfers and has support from the government it may affect on bitcoin as the currency and add some unnecessary taxes to such transactions?
nope when bitcoin legalization would not be possible for the government to give taxes to the bitcoin users. I'm sure there will not be users who will pay the tax.
legalization of the government will be like a dream to me

there is a big difference between donation and earning bitcoin, donation is the amount that you give free to the people according to  your own choice bitcoin can only provide you opportunity to earn it using different method according to their skill and experience.

If you have taken the effort to read my post properly (which you have not), then you would exactly know what I meant with what I have said. Read again.

They don't need to have money in other to start making money through bitcoin cos the scheme is going to be a voluntary or involuntary scheme where a group of people or duo provide the poor countries all the needs to start doing bitcoin.

Even then, it will only help people on an individual basis, and not on country level. Bitcoin isn't a miracle that is helping people to go from poor to an okay life. Name up a few ways of how people with zero skills and low understanding of the English language can make money with Bitcoin?

I dont think this is a good question because how do you think bitcoin can help poor countries do you really think that bitcoins can help them grow if they dont have money for food how would they have money for bitcoins lol.

Well, you have to let them work for bitcoins if you will not require them money to earn in bitcoin world. I guess it cannot really solve the problem, poor people are not really into technology so we'll be having a hard time to introduce bitcoin to them sine we do not even have the best idea on how it could benefit them to give them additional income.

I think the people that have nothing to eat is out of the equation. It's only common sense that they can't afford a computer or a smartphone to do bitcoins.

It's not mandatory that you buy bitcoins at first. You can earn them for free from signature campaigns, and faucets although both would take some time. You can also offer services and sell goods. I came from a poor country and I say that bitcoins have helped me and most of my friends online to buy things that we can't buy before. Some of them have started their own business in real life and some are still saving enough bitcoins.

Impossible. Every year there is (supposedly) billions of dollar in form of donations going to countries in need of help, but in all the years nothing has happened. In fact, things have become worse. Put that against a few individuals making $10-$20 per week, how on earth will this get an entire country out of its misery? If the incentive for improvement isn't coming from the governments there, then it will never happen.
The problem with those donations is that is given to corrupt governments and they steal most of it and keep it to themselves, so it does not matter the amount of money we trow at them since most of it never reaches the people that really needs it.

I would think through donations that this feat can be accomplished.
But that would require alot of help from almost every bitcoiner available to even get one country out of impoverishment. Embarrassed

Thought that was quite shallow friends. The intent of this thread is how they want to use the bitcoin and can help them!! . So gini concept used is by providing a facility open to the public in a poor country and after that they are being taught about the study of the internet and how to play bitcoin. If it could all be implemented properly then they will earn money the easy way and it is absolutely free. D

then what will happen to the country when they have received and adopted the bitcoin? I think the rescue of not only that, you have to have such citizens to work, at least work in bitcoin then poverty will be lost

Can Bitcoin or any other altcoin help poor countries?
how? what can be done?

Bitcoin does not help the poor countries but Bitcoin are great helped to those people who are difficult to meet the basic needs of their  daily life. Just like me I live in a poor country and i grab the opportunity of having bitcoina in my life because i believe that it might be helpful to me and my love ones.
First of, bitcoin is not a job, so how can you tell it can help people with their basic needs. All we can do here to earn a decent amount of money is investing and that involves risk, what if they lose, do they have something to spend for their daily needs?

Definitely bitcoin is one best of investing assert now a days, i hope poor countries cannot afford to buy bitcoin because they don't have proper internet connection, bitcoin is digital currency where you have to buy with your own currency, for that you need to convert your original currency into bitcoin. I hope there is no exchanges in those countries also may be. There are lot more problems in those poor countries.
They will be help is some ways, but investing not really? What they need is to have an income and to lessen their expenses. They need money for their daily needs and they work for it, but with bitcoin how can they earn when they cannot afford to invest. Maybe we can help then on transaction online to lessen the charges.
Yes I am agree with you as the facilities of computer and internet are available everywhere in the world even in the poorer countries of the world so they can have access to bitcoin but the problem is that of investment, If they can invest some good money in bitcoin then they will be able to get benefit from it but I think they must be facing investment problems with their current financial positions.

Well, if that happens, then it will really affect the price of bitcoin, and may be widely affect the financial ecosystem. if a country receives and proscribing bitcoin, especially if the government teaching how to use and look for bitcoin, surely it would be very influential in the community who are in the country, because the government supports the development of technology, and it will definitely give a positive effect for the country , it can only help the country in economic terms, since the introduction of bitcoin as a new thing, it will make people think of new things to develop bitcoin

In my view, country that adopts bitcoin will easily get out of their poor economic situation in a very short time.

The donations that are mostly collected on the name of needy people is misused, and they do not reach to the needy people and that is the reason that it shows not a positive progress, but I think if the mechanism for the distribution of donation make transparent then it will really show a good result and same is the case of bitcoin, if bitcoin is used in its true sense it can really help poor countries.

Bitcoin is not some kind of magic pill that can solve all the problems of the world but it can help individuals to protect their financial freedom.

When Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin, the real intention was for Bitcoin to become this "magic pill". He hoped that Bitcoin will end the exploitation by the banking cartels. Still a long way to go, but if Bitcoin becomes popular, then it is going to be very bad for the banksters.
Even if bitcoin can help solve a lot of problems it cannot possibly solve all the problems and since bitcoin is such a new technology there is the possibility that new problems arise which are unexpected to everyone.

Bitcoin can only solve some monetary problems of people living in poor countries by providing them a chance to earn an extra income from internet if they can get to know it or if they have access to internet and computers, otherwise bitcoin can be of no use for them unless it becomes useful in physical world.
You're right Aamir and it seems like Omega weapon did not understand the situation cos in the real world money can not solve all problem and so is bitcoin. But, bitcoin will only give the poor countries something like a new link or means of earn money, collecting to the world etc.
You may be right that not all the problems are solved by money but still I am seeing that a lot of problems are issues are due to the lack of money and that is why these poor countries are far back in the run of development and they do not have any facility to live their life with happiness. If bitcoin come to their lives then these people can earn international salaries in their own countries and can stand like other nations.
You're absolutely right and that's why I disagree with omega weapon cos I believe bitcoin will give the poor countries a chance to change from the back sit to front sit.

But that is exactly what I said, check the very first of the post in this chain of comments and you will see that I said bitcoin cannot possibly solve all the problems.
I quite understand what you said and the part I disagree with what you said is when you said bitcoin will not solve the poor countries all problem.
