Yes most likely it can help poor countries if it stays growing like this and also gets bigger and bigger.
I think there is a good chance that it can help poor countries.

I don't see the connection between its price and how that price increase could really help any poor country... IMO, Bitcoin could only help poor countries if its citizens knows how to use computer or a smartphone or any gadget that is capable on using internet, aside from that, cheap internet and people has easy access on it, if not, then there is no way that they are going to use bitcoin...  Smiley

Most of the people in poor countries don't find a good job and even they don't have a bank account too, in that case bitcoin can be helpful as they can have their own bank in the form of bitcoin wallet.
They not required bank account they only required to have resources like gadgets to access bitcoin and also internet connection because if they already have that and start earning they can be able to cash out in remittance center.

You are not getting his point, every individual needs a bank account but its not possible for some who don't have enough income as they don't meet the criteria of banks, in that case bitcoin can be helpful to them.

yes thik bitcoin can really help poor people as it also give opportunities to earn bitcoin without any investment from signature campaign, so its best option of poor to make money.

How about for those people who lives on a very poor community and country. Let's example the Africans, we all know what are their lives because they don't even have something to eat and that is very impossible if they are going to work with bitcoin. Because their problem is education too, their knowledge is just within their community.

There are big differences when it comes to poor people. There are people that can just buy themselves enough food for the day, and that's it. And you have people that can't even afford food and stay without anything for days. In both cases there is not much where the usage of Bitcoin might help them forward, but for poor people in the latter example, there is absolutely nothing that can help them beside charity funded projects that supply them food and clean water.
We must create a foundation that manage a bitcoin donation of all bitcoin users. Then convert bitcoin in to food or something usefull for them. And the most important ting is teach them how to use and earn bitcoin.
Something like this would work, assuming that the organization was accountable, transparent and it was actually helping poor countries make life better for their citizens. While teaching them about Bitcoin is a goal, chances are they are more than likely not going to be able to use Bitcoin due to a lack of resources, namely computers and the internet.

i do not think so as most of the poor people have no facilities of internet and computer therefore they cannot get benefit from bitcoin,
you're right, without a computer and the Internet network would be useless. however, bitcoin course can help poor countries if they have a complete computer facilities and fast internet network. for example, China, although not a poor country, but bitcoin very much help the people of China who do not have jobs to get to know the business of bitcoin. even not only of China, but many of the other countries like it

I think Bitcoin is already helping people in poor countries, earning 0.05BTC  per month in some of these countries is something and again any jack from anywhere around the world can now invest in ICO project which is not possible because not anybody will be allowed  to invest in lets say Factom ICO if listed on stock exchange.

Yes definitely bitcoin could lift poor country's economy
because we could earn bitcoin just by out mobile and laptop and that too without any investment. so bitcoin could definitely help poor country. but they should be alert of scammers and fraud traders.

I agree, one of the examples, why bitcoin can help the developing country, is thru the company that offer Bitcoin in exchange for doing jobs for them.  We all know that developing country have lots of unemployed people, and most of them are graduates because these people will not go for harder low salary job because of the ego in them.  They will choose to be unemployed than publicly known taking jobs that are not fitted to their courses.

now maybe it can't help poor countries, but in future after they build their countries better than now maybe will help those countries

If a poor country have access to internet then the people of that poor country can start working online and can earn money from internet by completing different tasks available online at least they can earn some smaller amount of bitcoins from signature campaign if they are educated people and can buy some food for themselves.

Can Bitcoin or any other altcoin help poor countries?
how? what can be done?

The work that people do online is mostly the same on each country but the payment is much more different and bitcoin here can help people in those poor countries(but not the whole country).

I believe that people that work online like web developers or something else have a different salary comparing with those that work locally on their country, so yes bitcoin can help those people.

I think, Bitcoin doesn't designed to help poor countries/poor peoples. The main concept of creating bitcoin is to be pseudo-anonymous and its being like that. Even if some donates some BTCs to poor peoples, they still lack in resources (like mobile phones and internet, Because they even cannot afford buy those things like us) to use bitcoin.
i completly agree with this statement and i belive they should first get some education scheams like free studys type and after that they can use bitcoin to become a self dependent person and to get access through the world its not so easy but it is an good way to start
He had a point but i think we can help those poor people to bring alive if government also can support even electricity to start a mining farm for poor people so that they can work as a normal bitcoin miner.. If bitcoin miner earn a lots of bitcoin in their place they can use it to buy what ever they want ..

They neither have eletrecity in their homes, I don't think the government will mine something in this condictions... and governments are so corrupt, so probably neither half of this money will reach to the people...

There is the possibility to help the poor countries if bitcoin will provide them resources like computers, laptop or android phone to access their system and also internet connection but if not i think it can't not all people can afford to buy gadgets instead they are prefer to buy foods and needs.

But I don't think a bitcoin company is going to do that but that is going to be a good initiative if coinbase or blockchain is going to do that. And for sure that is going to touch other big companies heart to help people who are living in poor countries. Even it is not for bitcoin but just for humanity and to help them gain more knowledge.

It would really needs massive  effort  money and  time  when you intend  to implement these things because  giving  out computers and  other digital things would be costly,  unless if  all nations would  donate cash to a single spot then  it would possible  but  its not possible  on bitcoin related companies.
still need a lot of things to be able to help those who live in poor countries to become bitcoin users, how to tell them how bitcoin works and what is bitcoin.
