Bitcoin is not like a gold mine where poor countries will go mining and say 'huraa!!' we got wealth. Bitcoin depends on technology which is a challenge to most poor countries. Therefore, I don't believe in your notion that bitcoin will help poor countries.
I think it's possible. you can see how bitcoin can help someone out of their financial problems. and I think if a country has a large number of bitcoin users and many of them earn big profits from bitcoin. then it might be helping the country

Yes but then they would need alot of people using bitcoin and all of them would have to have an incredible share on the bitcoin market otherwise they wouldn't be able to help the country via bitcoin is my opinion. Maybe if they use bitcoin only so all the people are forced to use it then it could help.

Can Bitcoin or any other altcoin help poor countries?
how? what can be done?

Yes, Bitcoin definitely can help people living in poor countries. Here are just two examples how:

1. People from poor countries can earn Bitcoin doing some services online (like coding, photoshopping etc.)

2. They can find something which is cheap in their country but is in demand in rich countries and sell it via post making profits.

Well, you also can do those even without use bitcoin as payment method or currency, so it don't change anything.
Maybe you should think if those poor people don't have internet connection or computer, how bitcoin can help those people?

I will explain. If you are poor the extent that neither you nor any of your friends have a computer than yes Bitcoin will not help you. But in today's world many people, even very poor people, can get some access to the Internet and in that case Bitcoin is very handy because normally you can earn only small amounts online and you can't afford fees for transactions which serviceas like Western Union charge. Also take into account that mostly poor people simply do not have credit cards at all.

Bitcoin itself can't help poor countries by granting them more resources, yet it can help them restructure their financial system, leading to economical growth.

Bitcoin can't help an entire country. but it can surely help the person who use bitcoin if he's poor. and if a country have a lot of bitcoin users then it will surely be beneficial and for that country.
bitcoin need some contribution. if you contribute with bitcoin and crypto currencies . they will reward you for sure. but if you think bitcoin should give you fortune without doing anything just because you are a poor person then keep dreaming.

You are correct, dude. Btc can help and improve poor people, in Africa, Asian countries. They can make bitcoin by solving captcha, posting and do social campaign. Although the money is not a lot, it still can help to improve their life.

Unfortunately, it can't help all people that lives in a poor country but maybe it would only lessen to the people leaving in poor countries in a way that they can earn money using bitcoins, they can buy something they want using bitcoins, and other ways but you must to work hard so that even in a small way you can help to solve the poor countries and that's already a big achievement  Smiley

Bitcoin is a currency and an exchange system, it wouldn't help poor countries directly (although there are plenty of charity works taking BTC) but it might help the residents and those living in poor countries in getting money and sending it. Therefore indirectly helping there countries.
Indirectly helping there countries so it still help poor countries right? Wink  Yes it could help the residents or the people in getting and sending money.  But that was just a part of bitcoin on what it can do.  It could help the people of those poor countries to have a source of income.  Those who were unemployed but can and with have access to computers and internet could help atleast their families even with small earnings from bitcoins.  We know what bitcoin can do.  We know that we could use it to invest, to trade, and to earn money.

I think to certain extend it could reduce corrupt handling of poors, since Bitcoin makes it harder to keep the full control of benefits and what each one does.
you are most probably right, in my opinion bitcoin is going to be growing huge a lot in the future, i think that it will make me some good money and it will help the poor for sure

I think can not, because bitcoin required to work with, if those people in the poor country can not access bitcoin they will not start earning in bitcoin. also if they can not afford to buy mining tools bitcoin can not help them without those things.

Your are somehow correct but there are still ways to earn bitcoin since internet  is everywhere its really up to a person which  he would use  and maximize  to earn  or do nothing at all to earn bitcoin. Bitcoin would  be helpful but you must work and  not just wait for  a blessings to come lol.
You definitely have to work for your plan because nothing is easy in this world, we can only make money if we were able to work hard and smart. Let us remember that the competition is everywhere either in online or physical job so we need to value our work especially when we are living in poor country.

Even poor (also called developing) countries now have basic technology that people can use to access bitcoin. But it would be hard to teach them something like bitcoin if they are so used to their traditional ways of transacting. It might help them big time if only they can be imparted with the knowledge on the benefits they can get from using bitcoin.

Poor countries dont have tecnology and i think bitcoin is for hight tecnology because of bitcoin cant change anything for poor countries  so bitcoin cant help poor countries .

Bitcoin do not need any high technology but it only need a connection of internet to your PC and knowledge about bitcoin, and with that people from poor countries start to earn some income for their family support and better life.

Bitcoin can help countries depending on what they are trying to use it for.  For example the Ukraine was considering investing in Bitcoin to get around its economic sanctions with Russia.  This could definitely help out the Ukraine.  Greece also benefited from investing into BTC when their currency hyperinflated.

I completely agree with you, i just don't get it why do people keep saying that bitcoin can help poor country, cmon bitcoin is just like money or other currency it doesn't make any difference at all, moreover bitcoin is decentralized so for the poor country that will adopt it i think this is not a good idea since bitcoin is uncontrolled, the government can't taxed it for any transaction you've done, they can't earn benefit from it obviously, even though the government do mining they will need more resources and capital to earn profit for support their country, just my thought.
