If Bitcoin reach 300 000USD prices, then its market capitalization will be same as gold. There are some predictions that Bitcoin can even hit 1 million USD price, so if it happens, then yes, it will be more valuable Smiley.
The big question was when the bitcoin will reach such rate? We know if so many experts or various parties have already sounded their prediction about the price of bitcoin in the future but they have not made mentioned their reason to call such rate as the price that will be achieved by bitcoin. Isn't it too much for bitcoin?

Cryptocurrency is already more valuable in terms of investment than gold, just not everyone knows about it, but I think that this will gradually change and most people will know about the advantages of cryptocurrencies.

For a Value, we can see that somehow Bitcoin is really valuable and much easier to get since Gold is harder to get and you need to do rigorous work before gaining Gold. We cannot also ignore the fact that Gold is much more famous in the physical world since Bitcoin cannot reach all places without the availability of the Internet. There are also some Cryptocurrencies that is being backed by Gold and we can see that, that is a good sign that we are really advancing in our technologies.

As technology advances we will see crypto currencies be more valuable than gold. Gold is heavy and needs a lot of security to be stored en mass. Moving large quantities of gold is such a security risk that governments use planes and submarines to move them to different locations. The cost of that compared to the transaction fees of crypto currencies ist just not feasible enough in the long run. Compared to crypto currencies you don't have all these problems, sure you need cyber security and internet access but still it's only a fraction of the cost compared to storing gold. Don't get me wrong commodities and gold in particular are still very valueable and will keep being so in the future. I would recommend holding some precious metals in every portfolio.

I have thought that one key advantage crypto (bitcoin, litecoin, Dash, monero etc.) has over gold is that its supply level is fixed and transparent, but can this or features make crypto more valuable than gold?

What will happen in future no one can predict, but yes we can estimate.
By seeing the rise and growth of cryptos it's completely visible that cryptos will soon take down gold.
But there are still many countries who consider these coins are illegal. For this the growth of cryptos are hampering a lot.
Moreover if still more people will show the same love that they are giving to the coins from the past time and it keeps on growing and growing, then soon Bitcoin will become a valuable asset to store.

How about gold? I think it is safe to assume that gold also ha scarce supply since its a mineral mined from a limited resources. If you think of it, gold products has been circulating and some consume as material for different products. Some decayed or decompose and be part of a certain material that cant be circulate. But crypto has keeping its circulation everyday unless no one want yo spend it. So its a balance match up they have some pros and cons too.

I think it isn't right that gold and crypto be compared, because they have their own characteracteristic and they are different, the gold is an ancient treasure of our ancestors and will continue to exist until the new generation, it has been tested and it's value doesn't decrease compared to crypto the value is unpredictable. But in this era that almost everything is digital I think crypto is the best.

Well, gold amount in the world is sort of "fixed" level as well. We may not know if there is more gold somewhere in the earth that we haven't mined, surely there must be without a doubt, however if you consider how much gold there is left unmined, it must be very very little compared to what has been mined so far, with the high tech in the mining industry we are literally mining the last grams of gold left in the unmined places.

So, technically speaking there is no more gold produced, there is a limited number of it as well, I am not a chemist or miner so I can't speak 100% sure about this but I think after all the golds are mined, there will be no more golds on earth since we can't produce it ourselves. Which is basically exactly the same thing as the bitcoin system.

Sure, Infact currently cryptocurrency is more valuable than gold, with the way new project keeps surfacing everyday, it is sure very soon cryptocurrency will be much more valuable than gold.
Crypto offers various things while gold is offering the store of value and it can be used as a commodity too. I think that crypto is already more valuable rather than gold. In the future, crypto will become the main replacement for gold to be considered as a digital commodity that offered various advantages to the holders.
I would not say all of the cryptocurrencies are more valuable than gold, but some of them do! I would say cryptocurrencies have more applications than gold, it can offer real solutions for real issues, a store of value, or a medium of exchange. Cryptocurrencies are doing very good in role of a store of value and medium of exchange. Some cryptocurrencies are based on projects that offers real applications. In my opinion, I choose to invest in cryptocurrency rather than gold since cryptocurrency has more ability and potential!

Valuable yes, because crypto has already surpassed gold prices. But as an asset base and with its real-time use, it is globally valued and possessed. Bitcoin is already being named 'digital gold', and maybe the two universally become the most valuable assets.

They are both have different characteristics that is valuable. But to compare these two? I don"t think it is reasonable. First off, gold has physical appearance with a great use and cost.

However, when we are talking about future, we can't really say whether cryptocurrency wil be more valuable rather than other physical assets like gold. But the existence of gold is long compared with cryptocurrency like bitcoin.

That is quite true. In terms of Price, then cryptocurrencies maybe have the advantage but in terms of practicality, I'd say gold is more practical. Not only gold is physical but also has physical implication in real world that is actually being used in a day-to-day life. That's the reason why the market cap of gold is significantly bigger than all of cryptocurrencies combined.

Cryptocurrency is already more valuable than gold. I wish if I invest in Bitcoin rather than gold, today I could be a millionaire. Some top altcoins will be valuable in the future. From the top 20-30 coins have the highest chances. I'm telling it because of the supply of Bitcoin, although every four years, Bitcoin halving is happening. Supply increase is going to slow but supply is fixed by Bitcoin and Litecoin. Burning coins is also included in a valuable case of gold.

Gold is still minable where Bitcoin, Litecoin and monero have limited supply. Based on this case, cryptocurrency can be more valuable than gold. But my question is how do you compare between gold and Bitcoin? Take the price of gold at the time of 2009 and Bitcoin, you can see how valuable Bitcoin price is? Other altcoins prices could be different.
of course cryptocurrency like bitcoin has a very good potential in the future because of course the price of bitcoin will always increase and become expensive because bitcoin is increasingly difficult to obtain, so you must be able to make the best of bitcoin as possible.

There will be always this kind of comparison, Crypto vs Gold. Which one is more valuable?
It will depend on who you are and how this world will stare into these two things. So far, in the world, gold is considered much valuable than other commodities or digital assets. Gold in the world is limited and the value will not be decreasing. Moreover, gold is something limited and cannot be grown again.
In this case, I also a holder of those two, both crypto and gold. Whatever and whichever more valuable, I personally will be happy. Moreover, if the two are all valuable and acceptable in the world.

There is this misconception - some people take value to be price, which are two different entities. Presently, gold has more value than cryptocurrency, because bit is legally recognized and that already gives it it's value. As for crypto, it's just the price, which fluctuates a lot.
