I think when they create the digital currency in the country. They will not be able to kill the cryptocurrency, because crypto is used by the world community and increasingly popular.

This is indeed the case in China. Russia, the United States, and other big countries have formulated their own plans for the future of digital currencies. I believe that it is impossible to stop bitcoin currencies because Bitcoin already owns and spreads around the world.

The latest news is that the US government is look closely at Bitcoin. A number of governments such as Russia and China are also planning to issue their own digital currencies. They clearly see a financial threat from Bitcoin.

What do you think? Can governments kill Bitcoin and replace it with their own digital/crypto currency?

Yes, the government can kill the bitcoin in the way of banning or not allowing the bitcoin to be the use of the people around in their country. Correction they can replace the bitcoin. No matter what happens the bitcoin still the king of all crypto. They can create their coins, but they can’t stop people believe in the bitcoin.

This will be decision just like a war. Personally I don't think that it is possible because there is lot of investment in BTC and killing it may damage the situation between government and people.

It can happen, because the government is formed because they are the best and the great and whatever they can do. and it will make it difficult to transact and the government can kill bitcoin for the country. but it is unfortunate that it happens because bitcoin is not a criminal or a murderer, the government should thank bitcoin for being able to help its people on financial and economic matters for the better.

Are you sure the government can kill bitcoin? In what ways did they kill him? If bitcoin can be killed, but why is bitcoin still present today? It is very difficult for the government to kill bitcoin, although there are some countries that prohibit bitcoin such as china, colombia and ekuador, it is difficult to kill bitcoin because bitcoin is a decentralized crypto currency worldwide.

If the start and eventually growth of Bitcoin is not brought about by the governments, then I can see no reason why the governments can effectively kill Bitcoin. Bitcoin started and earned fast and solid growth over the years without any kind of help from the governments. That means they have made such amazing achievements independently from the governments. It can exist on its own with only the ordinary people backing them up. Governments may try to cripple Bitcoin by banning it but it will definitely fail to kill it.

If you are able to explain us how a government can replace a decentralized and basically anonymously run system, they probably can. As long as you are not able to do so, they can not and I highly doubt you ever can, because this is technically not possible. Several countries, if not all, probably will one day introduce its own crypto currencies, but those crypto coins are not compareable with the decentralized and privately run, because currencies introduced by governments are usually to take the value of people's work.

they can not kill bitcoin but they can cause injury to it. This is in the sense that they can not erase it but with their public comments it can tarnish the image of the coin and causes a further drop in the value of bitcoin

The value is rising for the past few days. In one week, the exchange rates have risen by almost 25%. I am not sure whether this is a temporary phenomenon or not. In case it is not a temporary phenomenon, then we can confidently say that the government propaganda is not having much impact on the Bitcoin users.

,i think they can't kill bitcoin, because as far as i knew, the nature of bitcoin was decentralized and aside of it, they can only prohibit or ban the usage of bitcoin in their respective country but not totally kill or hunt it down and then shut it. one more thing is that maybe they are planning to create their own digital currency for their own good or should we say they will adapt to changes by using digital currency as future plans.

If a bunch of giant countries got together and figured out how much they can make by devouring market share through developing an even more secure cryptocurrency, getting big partnerships with large corporations and shedding a negative light on Bitcoin, I think it would hurt Bitcoin a great deal, I don't think it will Kill it completely though.

I believe government has the power to kill bitcoin. If all the countriea in the world regulate or totally ban bitcoin then this will affect big time on bitcoin. If no demands or nobody use bitcoin then bitcoin will definitely die. But don't worry that is unlikely to happen. Even though the government ban bitcoin, people are still gonna use it legal or illegally.

They can ban in their country but they can not kill it as it is not possible for a single government to kill bitcoin and even after banning people will use because no one can stop bitcoin.

A government ban can make it extremely difficult for Bitcoin users to exchange their coins to fiat and vice versa. It may not be possible for the authorities to track the coins to the users, but once they convert it to fiat, it is going to be traceable.

1. It's impossible for the Government to kill Bitcoin, Given that Bitcoin is all over the internet with no physical form.
2. They could somehow manipulate its people or the citizen that are engaging the in this industry, by somehow imposing some threats to totally make these people lessen there transactions or activities that has a connection with Bitcoin.
3. It's possible for the Government, to make their own cryptocurrency  given the power that it has. It could easily penetrate the market in their own country.

until now no one can kill bitcoin including the government though. government efforts to issue coins alone will not have a big effect on bitcoin because bitcoin users are too strong to move on to another coin

I don't think the government can kill bitcoin because it's decentralized, and as long as someone trusts and USES it, it will never die. If the government issued tokens without the user's approval, it would be worthless.

The main reason cryptocurrency can survive is trust.

if it kills the bitcoin it seems so hard or impossible even. unless there is a state that can create its own cryiptocurrency that costs more than bitcoin. maybe just a lot of people who moved to the crypto .Essentially everyone they choose when investing in the digital world. which coin is more profitable for them. and so far bitcoin is profitable and its position is still no one can replace it .

Its almost impossible to kill bitcoin because bitcoin is decentralized system. Maybe they can reducing bitcoin holder by promoting their own cryptocurrency or by banning bitcoin on their country.
