I believe that the only person you should trust with your private keys is yourself.

I have never tried it, I heard a lot of this exchanger. Popular, because some new coin is sold there.
Someday it might be like Bittrex or Polo.

You should not trust even yourself with your private keys. Every option to keep or use private keys have some risks. Use an extra ethereum address for such services to avoid big losses.

In Cryptocoins I Trust
Correct me if I am wrong, but Etherdelta is a smart contract, and your private keys are never sent to the contract... just a signature that is created client-side with your keys that are stored in Meta Mask. Assuming the smart contract doesn't have any bugs, then your tokens are probably safe, but of course you do have a risk of there being a bug in the smart contract. It would not be the first time a smart contract's funds have been drained due to a bug...

Is it safer than a traditional centralized exchange? It's tough to say, but I am leaning towards yes. Both are susceptible to bugs, but centralized exchanges are also prone to hacks, misappropriation of funds, regulatory issues, and theft.

So far I didn't face any problem, as long as I know etherdelta is save.
I have done transactions in etherdelta and have been several times to exchange tokens. So far I've also never found a problem.

I do not know what set up Etherdelta has in place but the no.1 rule in the cryptospace is you do not trust any 3rd party with your private keys. That is it. No whys, no buts.

Ive tried etherdelta once and input with my private keys. Then so far I didnt encountered any problem, also my other friends use this trading site. Their feedback is secured and safe and fast withdrawals.

I was too hesitant to try etherdelta as you need to input your private key. Can't help it as many phishing site are every where that anytime it can hack your wallet. But thanks for these feedback, I'll just consult first some well experienced friends and try it sooner when the market becomes better.

Never share your private key with such websites. You don't know what will happen to these websites in future ( even now they are safe) You must be the only person that know your private key and you must be the only person who can control your coins.

for me , if i were you , i will not trust any website with my private keys , unless it recomended , beause its very risky to share your private keys in other websites , maybe its a scam , or its a fake website that can get all you money or coins

But the fees are rediculous in my mind, All of your activity in etherdelta will get a charge in ethereum fees. That is one of the main reasons that the etherdelta doesn't have a lot of demand i mean about why etherdelta just has a little volume.
It's safe in my mind because etherdelta is the decentralized exchange. But just wait until the coin will be listed on the centralized exchange. that makes you easy to sell your coin.  Roll Eyes

I have never tried EtherDelta, but if you want to do so maybe you should create a new wallet, but a small amount of ETH (or other tokens you want to trade) and try it yourself. If you find out that it is not safe after all, at least you won't lose everything at once. Keep your private keys of your main wallet to yourself until you get confidence. And always double-check URLs (myetherwallet, etherdelta, and all the other where you need to paste your private key).
As a newbie you are already knowledgeable when it comes on securing important stuffs and you are complete right we should really be aware anytime on where we would paste our private keys and never ever make it on public or else say goodbye to your coins. Ive been trading on EtherDelta and i would say that Private keys does really works fine for me and there no such problems when i do try to access it.
