Listing new ICO on new exchanges just ruins the community interest, because they will think "Why the heck are you listing those coins to new exchange, there are even better IEO exchanges like Binance or Bitforex. Would be better to just list it to reputable exchanges, even though the idea is good of your ICO but with shit exchanges, they are nothing.
Usually people also more suspicious against that kind of offering like IEO from a new exchanges even worse if they are offering massive deal like giving extra 60% token which is pretty ridiculous and an obvious money grabber.Rather than making IEO on a new exchange it's definitely better for a project to create their own ICO and at the same time gaining trust by presenting all the legitimacy they have like being approved by the government and many more.
People like to feed on that, that is why they are always using that as a bait or a trap, and the people who always fell in their trap are usually the type of person that want to earn money in an easy way, or the greedy ones. I admit that it is hard to resist flowery words but once you fully think of the situation you'll be in at the end, you'll have the immunity against these kind of projects.
However, I disagree that new exchanges are not that trustworthy, even Binance started as a new exchanger and yet became a good one.
