I think it is highly unlikely MyEtherWallet get hacked. Your Ethereum and ERC20 tokens will be there. But don't lose its private key, otherwise you couldn't access your wallet. I have been using it for more than a year without any issue.

This turned out to be BLUE's panic and rumours backed by nothing, but anyway this scared people (me in particular). I wonder if this will affect Ethereum's price

It is too much safe for ETH based tokens and coins and hacking in myetherwallet is not possible till you keep your Pvt key is secure. Beside this it is also required that always aware the news regarding problem in etherdelta platform, when there some problem persist then avoid to use this site to keep safe your holdings.
Any app or technology produced with programming code can definitely get hacked.

Yes if you login your wallet into a phising link, because there are many phising link on myetherwallet, so you need to careful before you login your wallet there. Also you need to clean your pc every month, to prevent a virus or malware on your pc. I think myetherwallet will not get hacked if you use it carefully.

your tokens are stored in the blockchain so they can only be moved if someone has access to your private key.
In the crypto world there will be no secure guarantees, much less there are valuables in it.

They are called "Private Keys" for a reason - Hold on to them for dear life and do not let anyone get their hands on them and your MEW should be safe.

Since it's a platform it is possible that it can be hacked, but only in a slightly little chance. And you're asking if your wallet is safe, i'm pretty sure it is, just don't lose your private key and the 2nd key because without it, i don't know how else you can have access on your wallet.

myetherwallet is own responsibility no one can hack myetherwallet i am using it from long time. If your private key is safe myetherwallet is safe.
Seems like there might actually be a DNS attack going up, keep your PK off your PC (maybe in a usb offline) — better safe than sorry anyway

Hi, i have backupped my pvkeys on an usb stick. I wrote it also down on a piece of paper. My computer broke. I put a metal pin through the harddrives. I will not buy a new pc soon. So i wont check in on myetherwallet for some time. I cant click on phishing links. My question is : are my funds safe? Can myetherwallet get hacked? Can my funds dissapear even when i have no computer, hid my keys? Im to stupid to work with a ledger or trezor. Can something happen to it like with the parity/kill?
I know people who has different stories about their etherwallet but the same thing about their story is, their etherwallet were hacked. All of the tokens stored in their, all of it were gone. Even their eth that serves as their fee, even that eth is only .001, it was transferred.you can see it in the transaction.Is your fund safe ? I think all the data inside that are in the internet are not 100% safe.

Yes myetherwallet get hacked by stolen your private key. It means that you show your private key by mistake ,than your Etherwallet will hacked.

If anything I think it would be easier to bait you into a MEW clone which would allow you to put your private key in without realizing. Always a good idea to bookmark the website instead of following a search/email link. Then you know it's legit....unless they're DNS hacked.

if you see suspicious sites, then there is possibility of hacking. keep your private keys
