It is safe as long as you're not compromised.

Hi, i have backupped my pvkeys on an usb stick. I wrote it also down on a piece of paper. My computer broke. I put a metal pin through the harddrives. I will not buy a new pc soon. So i wont check in on myetherwallet for some time. I cant click on phishing links. My question is : are my funds safe? Can myetherwallet get hacked? Can my funds dissapear even when i have no computer, hid my keys? Im to stupid to work with a ledger or trezor. Can something happen to it like with the parity/kill?

even if your personal computer and hard drive are still damaged. It is important that you do not lose the private key because you can not create an etherium wallet without a private key, your etherium wallet is so impossible to handle when the hackers know your private key is easy they get it. so you need to keep your private key

MyEtherWallet wallet is a fairly reliable purse and it is very difficult to crack. It is protected by a fairly reliable digital password, available in a digital key. In this situation, really, once again, you should not go to the wallet using a secret key, but use etherscan. io to view the contents of the wallet without entering into it.

The founder of Ethereum claims that theoretically all online wallets are in danger, but this is not a problem with the Ethereum protocol. The main reason for the theft of funds is that anyone who knows how to exploit vulnerabilities on the sites can hack into the Web Wallet.

According your case you are still safe among the private key can't be access with everyone. But if you still worried about that , make a password with metamask and safe the word phrase. So for me you already safety.

As long as you dont post your private keys anywhere then you will always be safe.
It is like your seeds which are already on the ETH blockchain. So there is nothing to worry about.
Just be careful if you will try to let someone fix your computer (if you ever think about it again)
They could somehow reincarnate the buried links or anything in your hard drive.

As long as your private keys are safe, your funds are safe also. I saw a lot of people who'se MEW we're hacked and they don't know how it was done. For best security, buy your own hardwallet. Ledger or Trezor are the best. Learn how to use them.

Important thing is don't click a pishing link! once you click them, you must prepared to lose your money.
I suggest you to buy a new pc or laptop and you should install metamask for your myetherwallet account.
Note: Don't put your private key on usb stick, just wrote them on paper with a pen.

Yes, one of the things why an account was hack its because of phishing sites. If you see a suspicious sites, don't bother to click it. Anyway, in my case, I don't know if my MEW was hacked, because there were a lot of unknown transactions in my account.  May two tokens were transferred into another account and I don't know why it happens. I secure my private key in my laptop and I don't even click any suspicious websites and until now, I'm still confused why it happened and I really want my token back.

I don't believe before that myetherwallet get hacked by the hacker. It is true, and I will prove it to you. If you want to get rid off by the stupid hacker, don't just click and click if you receive an email asking your information about you account, just ignore it if you were not sure and you don't know who's person sent to you that email. Think before you click.

This would be a good idea. I don't like MEW that much my self. It seems pretty secure but I just don't like the user layout and how everything functions on there. It's a big pain in the butt for me to use compared to other stuff I've done with crypto related transfers.

etherwallet can also be hacked just like any other accounts. If someone hacked and get your money, it will be lost forever since etherwallet has no backup and it is not like the banking system. I think you have to borrow someones' laptop and check if your wallet is still safe.

Yes it can, as how all other accounts can be hacked but in regards to myetherwallet they can't be hacked by just brute force and softwares, what hackers mostly do is that they exploit your account security informations through phishing sites. I remeber last time I saw an actual copy of myetherwallet website and it really looks identical and when I checked its address it says myehewallet, good thing I haven't used my private keys and passwords yet.

I think if you want to be more secure, it's relatively safe to buy a hardware wallet.

No, as long as you have you're own private key, as what you've said you have already put you're private key on hard drives and you print also you're private key in a sheet of paper. So nothing to worry as long as you have a private key. The most important in MEW is the private key and you was the one who have responsible to keep on it.

I think your assets will remain in your ethereum wallet and will not be lost. If you are in doubt, maybe you can check it in etherscan.io and you just enter the ethereum address only, see there  your token still exists or not.
Yes you always look in etherscan you're balance remaining, just scan you're wallet address even though you're not open you're MEW to regularly check on it.

No one can access your MEW unless they have private keys so if you have the private keys then your funds will be safe even if you don't have the computer. You need to understand that crypto currencies are online currencies so they will be stored in online network,it is not stored in your computer so you can access them anywhere if you have the private keys.
And then why you stupid to work with hardware wallets it is the most safest wallets for crypto currencies so if you can buy one of those your are not stupid anymore.
