I think to make bitcoin a currency which will be regulated in the world,first we have to make it a investment market because then people become familiar to this new thing and they accept it without having any fear.For introducing every new thing in the market some steps have been taken so that the new product can be familiar to the society and to make bitcoin a digital currency which can be regulate without the control of any countries government the step of making it an investment market was very good and now we just have to wait that the price of bitcoin get stable so that it can become a world currency.
For me BTC is still an investment. It is like gold. Of course BTC has great perspectives and huge future but there a lot of questions asked by the states' governments. The problem of regulation is so important today
Though it is good that we do not call bitcoin an investment. But it will only be possible if people use it as currency only. But I see greed of the people will not let it remain simply currency only. I see several threads where posters asking question when the bitcoin will cross $xyz amount.
So it is basically the greed which converted this beautiful currency to investment. Had it been currency only I am sure there would have been more number of actual users of Bitcoin because then it would not have been so costly.

yes i know, but as long as bitcoin is valuable people will call it investment, because bitcoin has a value that can increase/decrease at any time.
in long term the value of bitcoin will increase.
I think investing and gambling have little in common, they are just putting money and hoping to increase from the previous amount.

Yeah right, bitcoin for me is an investments that have value and will be able to give us good profit if value of bitcoin will increase, then if we need money then we can convert it to fiat.

Well since bitcoin has features that can very well make it good investment, you can't expect people to just ignore that opportunity. At this point in time, it's more seen to be an investment instead of anything else.

Bitcoin is the one of the best investment in this world. Investing in bitcoin is the fastest way to earn profit in less time .everyone who have dream to become rich in less time should invest in bitcoin atleast once in their life.
If Bitcoin wasn't considered an investment its more people could use it and its value could be less volatile. Bitcoin is the best possible investment that's why we call bitcoin an investment, bitcoin has a big part when we investing without bitcoin we can't invest. Bitcoin and invest are connected to each other.
it feels hard to let go of btc and investment, after all it has become one even though it deviates from the original goal satoshi made btc, but that is not wrong like the dollar, even the dollar is a currency but that is used as an invaders, the importance of btc is not restricted by regulation banking and government, besides btc is still a digital currency that is efficient and has many advantages and I am sure it is enough to meet the initial objectives of the btc itself
Bitcoin was not an investment when it started years ago. It was made as a currency and was promoted as the same. It was accepted as a currency as well. However, when its demand increased exponentially, the price went so high that people eventually realized that more than using the coin as a currency, it was better to store it because there would be a huge wealth waiting for them by doing so. And then Bitcoin slowly became a storage of asset rather than a currency. And I think we cannot blame them for reacting so.

You can go to the white paper and you can read there that bitcoin was meant to be make money. I don't see any bad things that will happen if people call bitcoin as an investment though, bitcoin is both a cryptocurrency and a an investment.
It's not true, you never bothered to read the white paper for sure. Show me a single sentence in the WP where Satoshi said he created Bitcoin to make money online. Stop to spread wrong information about it.

But when all people will use payment with the help of bitcoin, and when the price is leveled and there is no sharp jump - then you can no longer invest in bitcoin, but just use it!
