This damages the cryptocurrency. Bitcoin was not created to become an investment. Before Bitcoin, there were some digital currencies years back, the goal was always to be able to create a (digital) currency free from central banks and governments.

You're not even investing, you are just gambling with money.
Go to the altcoins board, you will surely find plenty of ICOs where you can say you invested in. I have something for you, ICOs used to raise money are no different than "Crowdfunding". If you want to invest then there are a lot of Crowdfunding websites where you can invest in real startups with fewer risks, (you won't find any project using photos from Pixabay...)

Why don't we see cryptographers anymore? Guess the reasons

i dont know how to stop calling bitcoin as an investment because the price of this is because of the buy and sell so trading or invwstment if you invest a lot of money and tge vslue goes up you will get a profit from that.

It is impossible to call bitcoin something else because anyone who talks about Bitcoin they are mentioning it as an investment to buy and hold until the price increase to make more money in the process but few knows it is much beneficial to use as an alternative to fiat money if Bitcoin is used for transactions. This situation will continue for few year future until people starts to call it a currency because now is the time it is adapting into business payment and transactions

You can not stop calling it an investment because it gives us profit and everyone has the right to call it what ever they wanted to. Its all about how you are dealing with it, but it is made as a currency, therefor the choice is yours. Just respect everyone's perspective.

Investment and asset is not the same, they are different with each other. Bitcoin is an investment since we will be holding it and just sell it in the market when the price goes up.

It can be called asset if you want but we don't really own Bitcoin, the term is not "own" but it is shared. If we have a Bitcoin, we are sharing the part of Bitcoin's supply that we own accessing it through our Bitcoin wallet.

Why do we stop calling bitcoin an investment , that bitcoin is trully an investment because you are putting a capital money into it and you are managing your investment, so this technology is for you to gain and have profits in the end .

People bitcoin treated as investment because holding in long terms are gives better profits earning like a gold holding for the long time or year the value increase same with the bitcoin but need to monitor because sometimes the value is in the dip.
You can't stop people calling bitcoin as investment because have a freedom what they want to call bitcoin as they knows.

I think it is depend on what you call it but for me as long as it involve my personal money and i can profit or lost it then it is an investment, it is not a simple sending and receiving transactions now because people are consider it and investment and they know that they maybe become rich if they put their money on it.

Yes of course! We can stop calling Bitcoin an investment if we want. But unfortunately, we cannot stop the majority from seeing it as one. Since the 2nd half of 2017, Bitcoin has been treated or considered as an investment and/or an asset by many rather than a form of payment because of the crazy price increase. And since that time many of us are now expectant that the same will happen for 2018. It may be frustrating for some who does not consider Bitcoin as an investment, but things change, perceptions change, everything changes. So if the majority sees or treats Bitcoin as an investment, then we have to accept the fact that Bitcoin has become one.

Business minded persons invest in companies related to cryptocurrency, not in cryptocurrency itself. During the gold rush, the people who did the most profits were the one investing/selling/providing product related to gold (pickaxe and wagon,...), not the one mining gold

I can not agree with you, because Bitcoin is an investment. You can see that the spend are profitable and that those who own it make a profit as it goes up. So, why continue to say that you should not call it an investment?
