Any idea what it was?

No, temporary provider issue i think... There was a firmware update to put ssl on the admin ui. Might be related.

My logs did not show more abuse than normal time... My fiber router logs at least 250 Ping of Death and 100 port scan per week, but generally do not affect yiimp.

They are more frequent since decred.

Unsure what its going on... but look like indeed, i just hope it is, or temporary provider issues...

For now consider to move/mine elsewhere... I had to connect via dsl to post this message, all https/ssl connections are impossible (even ssh) to the outside

but the ping works perfectly and is good... Never seen something like that, that look like my connection is "proxied" by my provider and i really dont like that

edit: seems back online now... got a lot of orphans on some coins

Don't you know about any "checker", where you can check if the domain is ddosed or, not?

Sure I will, but have a look at these issues because starting the forced-payment immediately it creates too many issues.

Look at the comments. You need to increase the number of retries with the -R parameter. -R 7 seems to work but you might want to increase it since you are on a bad connection. (Antantti) use the -R parameter and if you click on his link, you see that the miner is giving a high and stable hashrate on miningrentals.

Testing sp_#3 at MRR with 4x970. TDP 92-97%, minerside 178MH/ gpu.
I will just let it run and see where it goes.

Yep, no problems at all with MRR. I used -R 7 setting, don't know if that made any difference.

I can change pool on the fly, normally get 2-4 stratum connection errors but no extra dev mining rounds.

I cannot even check the number of shares my rig it's sending, because of the 4 minutes lag; if you add the warmup and the downtime we land in the 5 mins territory. Too much.

You should replace your wifi stick with a normal cable link and mine on another pool. I will improve the donation code in #4.

Guessing Nik bought it from Scrypt... He isn't responding because you didn't buy it from him.

CCminer has a bug with MRR, you have to use the dynamic port it tries to reconnect to as it doesn't tolerate stratum redirection for some reason. Epsylons version has this bug as well.

Still saying SP you should lower fee to 2% and it should be a free release.

I agree, but with the kernel from epsylon you haven't got a fee, and a "forced donation" the first 4 minutes it starts, or reconnects.

There might be an issue in #3. If you loose connection for a long time, it will switch to donation mining and do another 4mins.

4 minutes for me 116 for you. if you loose connection within the 116mins, the process restarts. (if you use the -R reconnect parameter in the bat, you should put it to a high value or remove it.)

With -R 5 it will try to reconnect to your pool 5 times.

If you try to connect to mrr, you need to specify first the general port, so MRR itself suggests the correct one later.

Doing this, means that you donate, every single time, to sp; if you choose a wrong port then, the donation time it's almost 100%, because of it reconnects then to the sp hidden pool (the "donation, or better to say paying, one")

The donations timer shouldn't be placed first, but last; 116.4 minutes to me and LATER 3.3% to you, not the opposite.

Will you continue to use this system or will you change it in the next release? As you can see there's a general opinion against these kind of methods of remuneration, from your customers.

I could think that these could be intentional, but I want to believe that it's not. This fee miner isn't working properly and I'm absolutely not satisfied with it.

I've just restrted my machines with tpruvot 1.8.1 open source, having paid for yours.

Probably not what you want to hear, but you need a better PSU. Stock clocks should be stable on Epsylons... Overclocks on the other hand...

Expect at max for 1070s to draw 200w~. 120w for the system. You're looking at probably a 1200w PSU.

Oh yeah I knew that, I only have a 1000w in this system and was trying to work with what I have, and SPs miner was way cheaper than a new PSU

ICO? Not even once.
I will never buy a build that the dev can mine with... maybe I have and that maybe part of why my miners crashs.
-i 23 to high.

I'd not buy one either unless it's something really and I mean reeeaaalllyyy good.

But, even if it was free but the miner starts mining for the dev for 2 minutes first I wouldn't use it because I tend to switch between algos frequently. With all the dual mining crap around I'd expect a fee based miner to mine for the dev in parallel, on another thread with very low intensity or just mine for the dev for a few seconds every couple minutes. Starting with a two minute downtime after every disconnect is just too much for me personally.

I can't code for shit but monetizing a profitable miner could be done so much better...

with public 1.8.1 I couldn't keep my 5 x 1070 rig stable even at stock clocks, worked fine with 4 cards

I've only had SP's for a couple hours and its been 100% stable so far, about 1410 MHs at 872watts at the wall, probably can be tweaked further

is there much I should be tweaking on 1070s other than core clock, power limit and intensity?
