At least come up with a good road map before doing the fork.
Also come up with a specific date that all who have been involved, shareholders and/or have interest in CENT can vote and have a majority agreement that Cryptsy is destroyed and all CENT held at Cryptsy will not be recovered before executing the fork.
It is a big deal. I suggest having a period of Q&A before moving forward.

-What are the plans for post fork?
-How will the coins be redistributed due to the scenario of events that happened between wallet fixes and Cryptsy collapse. Or does that matter?

I think that if anyone else has questions or comments to come forth now is the time
This is a good intelligent community i'm sure we can come to an agreement.

So is that where we stand for now wait a couple weeks lets say till the end of October 31

-to see if users will be able to access accounts at cryptsy (most likely not)
                                        or
VanityWallets2015 suggests "do a fork back to 1343000." or "If we can get as close to the current date as possible we will do a fork to roll back as few blocks as possible and continue on a new fork."
"Any exchanges should monitor/block the highest addresses on the rich list (until we know the whereabouts and balance of cryptsy's old coins)."

ugaboga suggests "by the end of November or mid-December 2013, and make a fork from there." or"I only say one thing: this coin has to start again"

One of my main questions is for those of us who are or were owners of Cent on Cryptsy who posted screenshots is there anyway of getting us our coins without Cryptsy being online?

WOW !!! 49,580,101  M CENT !!!

49.5 Trillions of CENT Huh?

This is even worse than I thought.

I only say one thing: this coin has to start again ... Never in my life this coin will serve for something !!!

And before you start hitting me, be to know that I'm shooting on my own feet! I still have "some billions" of this currency ...

For anyone having trouble synchronizing, here is a bootstrap I created. It goes to block 1343977. Unzip into your AppData folder and start wallet.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5LwuuVS-ax9Q1dsZGRKSTlEb3c/view?usp=sharing

The current node list is:

addnode=124.188.131.21
addnode=47.34.155.56
addnode=73.0.216.67
addnode=82.9.77.178
addnode=94.61.193.156

Thanks.

CryptoID is now synched up to the same block, I am also synching to the same block using the bootstrap.

You can check the blocks here - https://chainz.cryptoid.info/cent/

We need to give it a couple of weeks to see if the highest wallet comes back online if not I think we should;

- do a fork
- roll back to block 1343000
- start to look at getting included on exchanges that feature a low enough exchange rate

- we could always revert to the previous fork if someone keeps a checkpoint, although that would seem pointless unless cryptsy or something came back online.

I am thinking perhaps Bter had the last blocks, would someone want to contact them to see if they have a higher block wallet to synch from?

Is there a link for the bootstrap? I'm currently stuck at around march 2016.

I created a bootstrap but mine only goes up to around the same time as you. I don't know if I'm the last block or not.

I like to cent ... seriously.

But, in my view, this coin only gives something if we cut the volume of it.

No one will buy this currency taking into account that there are 30 trillion and such ...

Whoever catches this currency must return to the past, by the end of November or mid-December 2013, and make a fork from there.

Eliminate trillions created at the end of December 2013 and stop producing Cent.

At the same time it eliminates large accumulators.

The problem: Also eliminates those who bought the coins produced after December 2013.

I think that can automatically reduce the balance of all without exception.

But frankly, without a measure as drastic as this, Cent will never again be worth nothing. Cent to be worth something must be listed on BTC. Less than that, is a Utopia!

I'd rather have half a million in the BTC market than 20 billions in worthless markets ...

I pity those who are in that currency, like me!

By the way, I can not synchronize the wallet from scratch .... Any tips?

I agree as well.

Im tired of this too. So many scams with these exchanges and coins. and like you said people have invested time and money in Cent coin and we are the rightful stakeholders and owners. We took screenshots and whatever we could to prove it.
Long Live CENT

Why do you guys want to try to resurrect this coin ? I don't even see a market for it so even if you get the bootstrap working well and everything then what will you do with your cents ?

It's not being "resurrected";

- trust was placed in the "Cent Team (cent.rocks)" keeping this blockchain updated and continuous
- people have invested time and money in this coin and therefore there are stakeholders

Personally I am tired of the losses that people have occurred investing in good faith that these things will continue, you only have to look at the Bittrex delisting to see the number of coins abandoned or not being supported. I am unhappy with this.

To answer your question, I quote from above;

"Because pennies is not a divisible denomination, e.g, one coin is one coin, it could be easily given a fixed global value that is not subject to devaluation despite POS, which means it could create new wealth if an agreement can be reached with financial services authorities. Responsibility of wealth control via the power of debt issuance must be taken away from those institutions and bankers and the continuation of the debt based model, we no longer require that in society."

If you are unable to see a market for it, that's up to you, personally I can see a number of key markets for this coin and as such I will continue to support and develop accordingly with my partners and stakeholders.

Were you able to implement the bootstrap I provided? If so, do you think I could share with everyone?

Im just importing it at the moment, its probably going to take a day or two to get up to the latest block.
Once I have imported the bootstrap fully I will let you know.
I have also sent the link to CryptoID to update their node to your block.
Thanks alot for doing that, see what happens over the next few days.

It means the receiver dealing with Cryptsy will be auctioning off the low value coins in the Cryptsy wallets he controls. If he holds the Pennies wallet he will auction them off for an extremely low price if that's all he can get for them. It's probably best to wait until after the auction before trying to get Pennies back on an exchange.

what does this mean?
will the richlist be back up again so we can see if our coins have moved from cryptsy?
how can i help donate to the .08 btc?

Crowdfund CryptoID Node? I can contribute to get Pennies CENT back moving again? 0.08 BTC required for node for 6 months.

Notes regarding Cryptsy coins (from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=389403.10120)

And important information regarding Cryptsy:
the report, which summarizes the receivership through August 2, 2016 has just been published and is available at http://cryptsyreceivership.com/news/.

BTC Pennies CENT is a great coin with a fixed rate its a great little thing.

Let's get started on the revival.

Cent was not recovered. Only a few coins were saved. Check it out for yourself. http://cryptsyreceivership.com/news/

Would that indicate the wallet was destroyed on the Cryptsy server - as they have destroyed dozens of coins according to the receivership documents? Or is that balance still around?
Some people indicated they had CENT with cryptsy from screenshots.

1   P9TbKBQX...  8,237,397,451,455.0 CENT   16.65 %   561 days 9 hours
2   PAgY2rEW...  5,749,766,461,497.0 CENT   11.62 %   514 days 22 hours
3   PHbNePqY...  3,094,501,989,281.0 CENT   6.26 %   510 days 4 hours

I would assume the top address to have been cryptsy 500 days ago?

Still waiting on people joining the CENT network to get synched up to the last blocks.
If we can get as close to the current date as possible we will do a fork to roll back as few blocks as possible and continue on a new fork.
Any exchanges should monitor/block the highest addresses on the rich list (until we know the whereabouts and balance of cryptsy's old coins).

Let's keep this thing going for a few months and see where we get to but Pennies / Cent / Credits or whatever ID the coin is given I feel it is perfect for one potential new wealth creation as part of the decentralised cryptocurrency platforms and exchanges.
