I know I have to be pretty close to the top of the chain. A hard fork may be required to move forward but that is above my pay grade as well.

Because my wallet still says catching up even though I unlocked it for staking, I believe I'm not the top of the chain. Without the top wallet, I'm not sure how we can overcome this.

I am just wondering whether to do a hard fork, we could maybe do it from a particular block to set it to a new chain invalidating blocks after a certain block?
Unsure as that process would be new to me.

Yea! great my wallet is up and running! wooohooo! Grin

Node is up - https://chainz.cryptoid.info/cent/

One network node, block height 903665 between synching nodes.

Does anyone else have a CENT wallet they can attached to the network either as client or server for synching the network thanks!

Great work. As soon as I get home, I'll fire mine up.

I guess we'll have to wait for the network to get sync'd up. My last block was 1343977
Last block time Mon Mar 21 06:37:22 2016
I was on the same chain as Cryptsy
Not sure if I should try to stake until the chain is confirmed.

Yes needs to be staked to move blocks along? Was pennies still POW with zero reward? If so would be beneficial mining to move blocks along when fully synched.
Nice one guys, my wallet is not synching at all (from scratch) decided to archive the chain and start from zero.
BrotherJ can you do a bootstrap of the block index for us to update our clients with, I can also get that over to Chainz who will be able to synch fully up with yours? PM with link to bootstrap when done (best zipped up).
Any suggestions, how is everyone else getting on, I presume we just need to wait for the network to synch and verify itself? Might take quite a few days?
CryptoID is on block 918276.

PM sent.

I have had my wallet open for a few days but mine is not showing fully sync. Maybe the last block is beyond mine @ 1343977. I just unlocked it for staking to see what happens.

PM sent instructions for bootstrap.

Looks like the wallet is just getting header information through the blocks before it synchs up (ancient wallet).

my wallet is on and has 99,827 blocks remaining

Are you synched and staking.

I am running 10.3.5 , it says it is synching however is not updating blocks in the wallet.

Do you have a copy of your conf file.

I have the new nodelist as follows from cryptoID

addnode=124.188.131.21
addnode=172.56.26.62
addnode=47.34.155.56
addnode=73.0.216.67
addnode=95.145.103.45

From Debug:

10/01/16 16:14:37 slot:9, ip:195.154.185.5:1910, send getheaders, start:369995, end:399999, hashbegin:3f8970a96196fa168b828c25c255ca18494f549973c5b1cd0e4fdb8383ccd178, hashend:00000000000000000000000c00b424f000b4223000b422f00000000000000000, speed:0

Can you get your CENT wallets running as a server, if you dont know how see below;

create a shortcut to CENT
right click and select properties
in executable section add the following code to the end (after a blank space)

--server

apply and close

now double click to run CENT as a server.

We now have a block explorer up at https://chainz.cryptoid.info/cent/ which has been bootstrapped to my latest strap, now we are looking to synch across the network.

Once we can get that up and running theres a chance of getting pennies back on exchanges.

Where are you guys?!?!

Update.

Getting CENT back online.

Uploading 700MB bootstrap for CryptoID to process.
Connecting my wallet as a server node to synch CryptoID with my blocks.
Permanent node will then be available for CENT to synch and work with.
Additional nodes welcome.

If anyone wants to contribute to the node hosting fees for CENT please let me know.

We should then look to get this back on an exchange against LTC or DOGE for low value trading.

Thoughts?

Anyone have working nodes?

If anyone is willing to contribute some BTC to get a full working node up at CryptoID then let's do that?
Then we should all be able to resynch the wallets and get the network back up in consensus.
We need 0.08 BTC (est) to get that up and running for 6 months.

I will contribute 0.04 BTC if someone else can contribute 0.04 BTC?

I will let you know an address to send BTC to once I know it and add details of my transaction to CryptoID.
