I just saw your new btc withdrawal page...

1) "Choose withdrawal payment method" ... what does this mean? I can't choose anything, there is only "crypto" written two times?!

2)

Cryptocurrency withdrawals should be made to your own wallet ONLY. They are irreversible and no returns from third party accounts (such as casinos, exchanges or payment systems) will be accepted back to your CEX.IO account. Withdrawals to third-party wallets are prohibited according to our Terms of Use
So you are prohibitting to withdraw btc from cex directly to another exchange? Are you serious? I guess 80% of all withdrawals are those kind of withdrawal, you can't prohibit this. Or do you want to loose your customers?

Really, Is that serious? It's against T&C's to move funds to another exchange? If so, I'll be planning on looking for another company to work with and moving away from CEX.IO pretty quickly. Shame because I like the security features of CEX.IO

Dear cex.io, can you please give us the certificate number of your PCI DSS  accreditation so we can check its validity?

Because, I have searched high and low on the various official places that these certs are publicly stored and CEX.IO does NOT appear on any of them.

Or was it just an internal audit, that you are making more of than it actually means?

I expect you will want to delete this post rather quickly as your answer, if truthfull, would probably not put you in a good light in this community.

So, let us check your certificate number against the PCI DSS database. Transparency is key here.

Looking forward to your reply/or lack thereof.

Tried to complete verification process. Very complicated, for the moment i imagined, they require selfie with my family in front of house  Grin
Why dont you accept national  id instead of passport?
Same errors happened, i uploaded same documents  5 times  Angry
Errors:
Please upload photo of the first double page of your passport
Your identity document was rejected because:
Obligatory documents missing
Your selfie was rejected because:
Selfie with identity document missing.   Undecided

I had some problems registering too, but got there in the end
1. You need send a sacn of the page of your passport opened with your photograph showing
2. You need to send a photo of yourself holding the document so that CEX.IO can prove that you are not using a fake passport

Read and follow the instructions carefully and to the letter and you'll be fine

@starmman
Thank you, once again:)

@Naokia980
We do accept national ID's in most cases, but sometimes an extra document, such as passport or driver's license, is asked for.
We cannot be too flexible in the verification process, unfortunately, since the legal environment in the Bitcoin industry requires us to be completely sure of your identity to prevent fraud.

Once again, we would like to reassure all users, that any documents sent to us are handled in a secure manner and purely for verification purposes.

Is it safe to send documents? They are not regulated and maybe can use my documents for illegal reasons. Huh?! Shocked

We are regulated by UK law, as well as FinCEN, and we have also passed PCI DSS audit, which has confirmed that the documents are stored safely and our business practices handle your personal information in accordance with top safety standards.

You may check the documents here: https://cex.io/legal-security

Guys, you have serious problem. Wtf is this?
cex.io:
This page is insecure (broken HTTPS).
SHA-1 Certificate
The certificate for this site expires in 2017 or later, and the certificate chain contains a certificate signed using SHA-1.
Unless I'm mistaken, the secure certificate looks fine on my PC. I tried with Chrome (latest version) and didn't see any error messages. I also ran a SSL analysis via a third party and cex.io got top grade https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=cex.io&latest

@Naokia980, unless this was a sporadic issue that is now resolved on cex.io - this could be an issue on your end, you might want to check your system for viruses / rootkit and see if you have any SSL problems on other sites. If you are using a proxy or wireshark that could also be a cause and be careful making transactions until tested.

@starmman thank you for a nice explanation! our certificates can be trusted. The link you have provided is a trustworthy source to get the safety checked.

@Naokia980 this issue sometimes pops up if you are using Firefox, but this solely relates to the way how this browser deals with https. However, you can always recheck in another browser, and you will see that there is no issue.
