I did complete their verification once and that's the only time they asked for it. After proving that the card is owned by you, you can do whatever you want with it instantly (it may be depositing or cashing out).

For me, it was pretty easy and their support was pretty friendly too, don't know what got into your verification.

other companies verification processes are a lot more strightforward, and they are bound by the same financial regs that CEX are.
so that leads me to think that it is internal CEX policy that asks for so much... hmm wonder why?

anyway its better not to use them methinks, its a damm sight easier

Information we collect is required by different regulations (British, European and US) which creates little room for flexibility.

You may rest assured, that all the information you give to us is stored securely in an encrypted storage, and is used purely for purposes of verification of your identity. We do not disclose this information to any third parties, except when required to do so by the law.

As soon as your card is verified, your withdrawals will be as quick as advertised.

They only require some form of government/photo ID, taken in a high quality photo showing card and face clearly in picture. Also some form of service bill with your name and address on it, bank statements with no redaction's and your first born child's soul.

And yes, they will keep all of this on record.

Casa Electra is right. This is a recipe for disaster.

Also, "selfie ID" (that's how the selfie photo with the ID and face in the photo is called) is something I personally hate. And why the bank statement?

I use AdvCash and the verification is much more reasonable.

Each time the support is getting back with some 'policy' issue - but i went through the full verification process before crediting my account !! Why is it so hard to transfer the BTC now ?? Who can help me, as it seems the support team is just sending generic answers. In the meantime, my funds are frozen...

Yes, you can. But please note that currently, virtual cards are accepted for Basic Account type on CEX.IO and have respective deposit limits. If your account is Verified, Individual Business or Corporate type, then virtual cards are acceptable only in case you have at least one physical card with a successful deposit from it. Otherwise, your account type will be downgraded to Basic account type.
