Chess is played here https://www.velocitychess.com/   (bitcoins, paypal, etc.)  Perhaps you could talk to them to incorporate Chesscoin.-

¿ Any desktop PC chess app ?

I think after the pesobit ico thingy, assuming the dev makes any btc to work with, is when updates would occur. My first vote would be to update the website... at least provide something chess related there.

As of now the one achieved is the chesscoin online staking wallet.  Dev said that they are in the process of creating the next project in the roadmap.  Well come to think of it, the chesscoin online wallet is really the start of creating anything online and be integrated with  Chesscoin.

thats it,

i sold all my chess coins, moving on to the next pos altcoin.

Guess it couldn't have been too many of them, as there isn't exactly a ton of volume on the coin.

so when is that chess app or platform coming out? we need to have a place where chess enthusiasts here can play chess and have a little chatter or something

That is what I though. There is a coin called chess but there is no game for it. It would be nice to have more of a community feel around here where we can maybe discuss chess and make this coin more popular. Why let it die ? It's a good coin.

i think this coin is still alive, the dev is still around and the coin is still healthy, i dont have problem with the connnection too..  Anyway, i think if the chess platform is far from happening yet, dev can at  least establish a chess forum to gather chess players and at least  from there he can introduce chesscoin  and promote the planned chess platform.  This is called pre-marketing approach.   Gathering base users even before the application is done.
perfect idea mate as we introducing the coin name itself we needed to have a community where same interest can be gathered and as the dev is planning to launch the apps it will be more helpful if he can provide all the necessary details so every players and participants will be knowledgeable.

Yeah, if dev is busy with stuff he can hire people to manage the forum so it will be started.  They can be paid with chesscoin for doing the task.  And the task dev have with Pesobit is about to finish on Sept. 14, about 9 days from now.  I hope this will give the Dev a decent fund to push all the plans of Chess.

Dev said that he needed help from Pesobit's team to build Chess app. Detail plan will be published after Pesobit ICO finishes. We have to wait now.

Yeah that is the main reason why Chess Dev is promoting  Pesobit, because of the promised help by pesobit team.  Seems we really have to wait till the ICO of pesobit to finish.  At least Isolani is working for the development of Chess and its application.  I hope it will be done before the end  of October.

Well this is the challenge of the dev.  How to check bot and eliminate them from the system.

I'm curious if that is even really possible. Do other competitions out there have anti-bot blockers? Are there any that have prizes worth much? Just wondering what online competitions currently use.  I don't see how it could be blocked really. I mean, pretend we had a chesscoin competition where the winner won 1K (usd) worth of chesscoin. Yay, great players sign up.

Site uses bot blocking software (somehow). Okay, so no way to use a bot on that site. But why does that matter?

A person could have a super megabrain chess program running on their own pc, with same chess positions all set... just telling the person where to move their pieces. It'd end up being a competition between two chess programs, better program wins. And no way to block something like that.

The man who told that he understood chess better than anyone else in this forum said about cheating when anonymously playing chess for some reward. I don't think he know much about the online chess competition because these kind of competitions are happening hourly without concerning the cheating.

For an online competition for Chesscoin, it's not hard to set up. Joinning an online chess play site then open a tournamnet. For joining, player could apply by chesscoin or bitcoin. I play the role as an Escrower. After tournamnet, I will pay tournament's winners Chesscoin from pooled fund. That's all. This process can be done manually or automatically. I can even hold the tournament that's free to join have valuable prices. However, the Chesscoin value is too low now to attract chess player with the price of some ChessCoins. I will start ChesCoin Chess Competitions right away whenever Chesscoin has a deserved price. Thanks for constructive ideas.

The problem with tournaments is actually the opposite... not that chesscoin's value is too low. It's if chesscoin has a higher value, then bots become a problem.

If we are talking about small amounts of money or small prizes (chess set, books, whatever), I expect (or hope) most wouldn't bother with bots. Unless you are aware of some way to get around the bot problem, not sure how a higher valuation of chesscoin would help anything.

Well this is the challenge of the dev.  How to check bot and eliminate them from the system.  I think starting a competition doesnt  necessary for a chesscoin to be of high value.  I believe that if we want to give value to chess, we must establish the foundation first, and the foundation itself is actually almost established.  We are just waiting for the chessplatform and when it is created, let the marketer or promoter  do their part.  It's all a matter of marketing strategy in my opinion if everything else is available.

We still have a few thousands here coming from bounty so it is not really a lost for us unless it gets to 2 sats which I hope will not happen, all my friends that invested here are asking the same thing, why the change of attitude of the dev?but at least the volume is still ok..

My attitude has never been changed. I'm just finding more fund to continue running ChessCoin project because I refunded the ChessCoin ICO. All ChessCoin that I'm holding is for long term development. I will announce the plan for next steps of ChessCoin when I collect enough fund. This will not take much time. Be patient, my friends!

I do feel you Isolani159, anyway, let's just hope that a change in track will happen after the pesobit ICO, I heard they promised to help chesscoin, once their ico is done.  Maybe they will accept chesscoin in their remittance platform, and yes I agree with this,

Im still holding Chess coin...it stake well...any futher development sir  ? maybe you should make chess competition hurrayyy.....

Why not hold a chess competition while we are waiting for the Pesobit ICO to be finished, but i wonder how can Chesscoin do this, without the chess platform, or maybe people have an idea. Cheesy
