I prefer Islam rather than atheism, At least they believe in God what about atheist. They are fools as the bible says Only a fool says there is no God.
The bible also states :
“Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the cruel.” (1 Peter 2:18)
So I suppose you are ok with slavery too cause the bible says so.

At times slavery is the best option for the slave. It is better than starving. It is a way that a slave can build up some property of his own. Certainly not every form of slavery gives this option. But many do.
When the Bible talks about slavery, it is often talking about an indentured servant... a person who works by contract for, say, 10 years, and has saved up enough money by then to get a regular job. In the USA, we are so blessed that we can often find a job right out. But there are a lot of street people. There are many homeless, living in tents, or in cars. The laws of the USA make it difficult for a person to become an indentured servant, so that he can get back on his feet when he is down that low, so that later, he will have enough funds saved up so that he can become an employee. So, it is the USA that is hindering life for a lot of people.
The circumstances that Peter was talking about in your Bible quote, above, were circumstances that fit a particular class of people, in a country with slavery laws. To make life work for you if you live under those kinds of laws, obey the law. St. Paul says it like this, 1 Corinthians 7:21:
Were you a slave when you were called? Don't let it trouble you--although if you can gain your freedom, do so.
In other words, live the life that you fit into. But resist the evil as you have the ability.
