I try to give good info.  This is a great pool and in the long run should be the best paying pool for btc there is.

A lot of people simply don't understand the math.
Or for that matter  smart risk vs stupid risk.

When the North Jersey Build is done we will have 500th btc  and 7gh ltc

3 people in on it.

50% to the warehouse owner
25% to  me
25% to buysolar

that will be 125th at no continuing cost to me.

I will make sure to have some of the hash here at all times  wether renting it or hard iron.

most players should be doing this if they have gear outside china they should point some here
It is simply stupid not to have some pointed here.

Also we are closing in on next jump  and it may be a drop which is helpful

I think there's something to be said about honest, quality advice. If anything we should see more hash in the weeks to come.

Being a smaller miner I'm happy to let my machines pump ck pool all day if can. Then my time preference is very low compared to most others.

Reserves in any business is important.

Which I did and still have but expanding from 60-90th to 500th alters  the amount of time I can handle

Fair enough, you make a valid point - the timing of payments is unpredictable.  (Also, diversification of funding sources is smart.)

Unpredictable enough that I would keep a reserve and not live paycheck to paycheck blocksolve to blocksolve. Keeping a minimum balance (BTC or $) so you have funds to last the 300% block dry spell.  And I would hope that the big hashers are financially smart enough to keep reserve funds!

It really all depends on the situation, but my main point was that we need more hash!

even a guy with 3 m10's  or 7 s9's

he fears risk of variance

so mine 1 of the m10's here
and mine 2 of m10's at a pps+ pool

I simply don't understand  why people don't do this more.

a 60-40
   50-40
   40-60  blend is one way

all or nothing is tough when a pool is doing  1 block a month

but 3 or 4 here  and 6 or 7 on a pps+ pool  allows  the best of both worlds .

5n pool like this is better only if there is enough hash to hit a block every 3-7 days.

so we now hit a block a month.  I get a monthly power bill.  a 300% bock means a 3 month wait  and I need to pay 3 power bills .

I now have expanded to 500th  I simply can not handle 3 months without a payment.

So I have 100 th here
and 400 th on a pps+ pool

more people need to understand this and do it. when this pool drops to 5 month 5n.

I'd appreciate it if people didn't actively discourage people from mining here on this thread at least, thanks.

Yeah, we want more people to join!  lol

Getting some more big dogs here helps everyone out, especially if they stick around!  And even with the 5N ramp-up, all those shares get paid out.

Would be nice to get a block before the next halving event..

It is actually very likely that several people here even if they stopped today will still not be fully paid out until after the halving.

I hope this was sarcastic humor, otherwise look here:

We have around 5 Years to go for the next halving... this pool is not that bad!

Mine on (here and not at antpoo or viabtc Wink )

5 years?   Try about 15 months.

Block Halving ETA: 465 days, 8 hours, 22 minutes

Date ETA: May 3, 2020

Oh, you are right, my fault it is 15 Months, but the pool is not that bad eigther Wink

Whish I would of taken that decision way sooner
Still, thanks for the advice 👍
Wow feel like I just wasted 40 days and lost around 5 grand at todays rate  Undecided...

money is not lost  I gave you a full set of instructions  via pm  on your best move.

to keep the .29 derp alive here at very little cost

and earn a lot of coin elsewhere.

This is now  a higher risk pool  for a guy with 1 ph of hard iron.

Great advice now that the pool is smaller. I would specifically move the hash into CKpool after a block find which is mostly likely what philipma is meaning.

So if i’m getting this right I should receive .292 BTC ? I’ve been here for 40 days with 870th 24/7. Calculators would of given me 1.51 BTC on a "normal" pool. Just wanna get this clear...

so you are now understanding 5n   vs pps mining.

a typical pps pool  pays 0.00004154 a th  so 870 x 0.00004154 = 0.0361398 a day or 1.44 btc for 40 days.

I do not know  your btc address so I have zero idea what your derp is after 40 days.

5n ramp up is slow

5n ramp down is slow

the pool is about 9ph

5n ramp up takes  5 months

and we should hit a block 1 time per month

you do not  get full payment until  you ramp up fully.

So  in 5 months you will be at full payment.

Which means you will tap out  and go broke  since 5 months of small payments  is a killer

I wish  I had seen your posts  sooner.

You should have 100th here and 770th at  a  pps pool

each month  shift a bit  more here.

On the positive side if you bail out here  right now and move 770 th to a pps pool leaving 100 th here  you will maintain  that .29 number for many months  and in effect  double collect.

as 100 th should only be  0.123 a month

my advice is leave 100 th here and move 770th to viabtc.com

Maybe a noob question here, but I’d like to understand What kind of reward I’m running after for mining on CK Pool. I’ve been mining since about a month and have accumulated a Derp of .2923582 and a Herp of 678,857,764,093.
So what kind of reward should I expect if we were to find a block today? Also, would that future reward be compromised if I had to quit the pool or shutdown my operations? I may not be able to tolerate the financial risk associated to electricity expense without getting rewarded in the end for a found block from the pool.
Thanks in advance for the feeback if possible

Easiest answer, your Derp will define what you receive when a block is found.
As far as quitting the pool and shutting down.. There is a slow decay, so with a derp of .292, it may take many weeks/month(s) before your back to 0.
