Fail to plan, and you plan to fail.
If Dual mining, a Dcri setting of 17 fetches you the most profitable balance of ETH and PASCAL.
And if you want to maximize ETH, do not solo mine, dual mine with a Dcri of 5, that produces the max ETH hash while generating enough PASCAL to cover electricity costs.

what is the -dcri mean?

It is perfectly written in the manual - page 1.

Quote
-dcri   Decred/Siacoin/Lbry/Pascal intensity. Default value is 30, you can adjust this value to get the best Decred/Siacoin/Lbry mining speed without reducing Ethereum mining speed.
You can also specify values for every card, for example "-dcri 30,100,50".
You can change the intensity in runtime with "+" and "-" keys and check current statistics with "s" key.
For example, by default (-dcri 30) 390 card shows 29MH/s for Ethereum and 440MH/s for Decred. Setting -dcri 70 causes 24MH/s for Ethereum and 850MH/s for Decred.

you can change it with '+/-' button on your keyboard with the miner running.

Mine for a Bit
I would really like to see a speed improvement.  Is this possible Claymore?

So my first question is has anyone gotten dual mining with ETH and PASC on a multi nvidia rig?

added new coin for dual mode: PASCAL(PASC). Now you can mine Ethereum, Ethereum+Decred, Ethereum+Siacoin, Ethereum+Lbry or Ethereum+Pascal. NOTE: Currently Pascal is not available for NVidia cards.

Hello

I have since noticed a problem of hashrate,

My 2 cards on the same bios, the setting is identical, normally I must have 29mh.

But I have a gpu that has only 27mh, and this one is unstable it sometimes falls to 24.

Has anyone had this problem?

thank you

I was mining ETH since August, then for couple month switched to ZEC, everything was just fine. About 40 days ago I switched back to ETH, in the beginning there were some minor issues which were fixable easily and I fixed them. Last 10 days I have no idea what happened, but some of my cards have same problem, I tried everything except refleshing them. All my cards are RX480 from different vendors, but mostly they aren't mixed per rig. Also I noticed the error "GPU0 got incorrect share ...." on some rigs -ethi 8 solved the issue on other rigs I just had to turn off the cards. In total there are 81 rigs with 3 card per rig build mostly and atm more than 10 cards have this problem. Anyone tried refleshing them and did it helped? Or any other solutions maybe?

hello claymore

love your work but please try to improve pascal coin hash speed while keeping ethereum stable at its high hashing power

thank you regards

I am currently running 2 different rigs, 1 has rx 480 OC cards and the other is gtx 1060 3gb.  Both seem to run ETH fine with claymore v8 but when i try to do the dual mode on my nvidia rig with pascal I get no results, ETH shows fine just a bit lower than ETH only.  I tried mining PASC a while ago and noticed when all the software came out the only one that worked well on a multi nvidia rig was excavator.  So since I am trying the V8 with claymore I figured I was running into the same issue.

So my first question is has anyone gotten dual mining with ETH and PASC on a multi nvidia rig?

Second issue is I figured I would try the dual mine with ETH and LBR.  With LBR I am only getting about 19 MH/s per card, when I use ccminer to mine LBR alone I get about 180 per card.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I was having this same problem in my 4 card rig, I tried everything to fix it. Well then my new Motherboards arrived put the cards in that board and the hash now has normal fluctuations. My new boards are HP enterprise grade working pulls from ebay were my old boards were cheap ASUS boards I'm guessing they just couldn't handle all the bandwidth.

Now my rx 470 4gb 1242/2050 cards are doing (Samsung mem, Custom Bios Mod, Small undervolt)
120.3 - 121 MH Eth
1150 MH Pasc (-dcri 17)
Stable for a 4 card rig

My cards are rx 480 nitro + oc 8g

They are set at 1100 / 2175_0.90mv

I already try to lower mhz, but my hashrate decreases, before ca go very well, the cards were both at 29 mh about,
I do not understand ....

I even reset my bios of origin, and I have the same problem gpu1 always below.

We will say that the problem is related to the memory, because I have lost the memory has 2000 and the hashrate is the same as 2175.

On this map it will be said that to increase the frequencies of the memory does not change anything. It's strange, look on the gpu-Z bandwidth, unknown ...

Maybe i should reflash my card .....

Try downclocking the unstable card a little more or give it a bit more power. Some times if you undervolt a card to much it can struggle.
I have the same issue as you ...same cards same bios ..one is set at 1150/2150  the other is 1125/2000 I get 29mhs from both cards .
Also your cards may drop mhs every now and again when they find and submit a share aslong as it goes back to 29mhs your fine

One of my rigs seems to be having a few problems. I've tried to alter all my settings to make it more stable but to a certain extent I have failed.
Its weird it will either run for 30 hours no problems or 10 minutes before showing "GPU hangs in opencl" its almost never the same gpu. I've gone through each card individually and solo they are fine.
I have a 1600w power supply so that is ample.
As a work around I set the miner to reboot my pc should a gpu hang.
On reboot the mining softeware starts automatically.

Here's my problem when ever a gpu hangs in open cl the core voltage (mv) is reset to 0 and when the pc reboots it uses the profile that was active before the reboot.
Is there a way I can force MSI afterburner to reapply the core voltage settings from profile 1

bit confused here.

do i need to put -nofee 1 or -nofee 0 to still donate?
as from what i understand if you don't donate your speed will be lower.

Just don't put anything if you want the fee for Claymore (and mine faster).

Awesome work again Claymore, many thanks.  Grin

Running V8.0 perfectly on all my rigs with a mixture of RX480s and 290xs. Been a long time since I found it worthwhile dual mining, but Pascal right now is just about worth it.

Does it worth to do dual with PASC? Did somebody try to check hash rates on modded RX 480 8Gb?

I'm going to try it out right away with my RX 480 8 GB rigs, will update you here with the hashrates of both, PASC and ETH.

New version seems great, keep up the good work Claymore! Smiley

We already tried lol
you are late to the party so no need of your update dear Wink

Well yeah, it seems like I'm late but still, here goes the hash rates which I'm getting with each of my 3x XFX RX 480 8 GB rig:

-75 hash rate with ETH
-900 hash rate with PASC

...and that's after some under-volting.

Pretty nice bonus of PASC.
