I did not see higher mining speed at all on any of my rigs i started to use version 8 Sad

Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner.
=========================

Latest version v8.0:

FEATURES:

- Supports new "dual mining" mode: mining both Ethereum and Decred/Siacoin/Lbry/Pascal at the same time, with no impact on Ethereum mining speed. Ethereum-only mining mode is supported as well.
- Effective Ethereum mining speed is higher by 3-5% because of a completely different miner code - much less invalid and outdated shares, higher GPU load, optimized OpenCL code.

Do you use msi after burner?

When i uninstalled msi AB, my problem was gone.

so which software you using to unlock, overclock, underclock etc. if you uninstal MSI afterburner?
i get some problem too, sometimes only get 15mhs

i've got 2 RX480 8GB with the next pars for dual mining with Claymore.s.Dual.Ethereum.Decred_Siacoin_Lbry_Pascal.AMD.NVIDIA.GPU.Miner.v8.0:

ETH:   24 + 24   Mh/s
PASC: 356 +356 Mh/s

is that ok or i should mine only ETH?

My 280X does dual mining with 14.3 Mh/s @ETH with -dcri 30 set for PASCAL- no loss on ETH with PASCAL. My RX 480 8GB run best on ETH without dual mining. It is probably because the older card has a wider memory bus.

mine something else, expanse, or other ethash with the 280x.  you'll get full speed.  i didnt compare profitability though.

DUAL MINING TAKES POWER--

I updated my Linux box to the latest dual miner, v8.0.  It is a mix of two R9 280X and two R9 Fury cards.  For a couple months, it has been mining Equihash with Claymore's ZCash miner, but I wanted to try Claymore's latest dual-miner.    No problems with setup and starting the new miner.

I got ~14MH/s mining Ethereum with each of the 280X cards, and ~31MH/s with each of the Fury cards.  Pascal hash rates were just starting to stabilize on the rig when the circuit breaker popped and the room went dark.  Fury cards have a huge bandwidth.

I reset the breaker and am mining ZCash again.  LOL!       --scryptr

I think etc and Eth might be dead on 2gb 270 I tried everything and still my card is not going over 0.7mh
edit: I uninstalled 16.9.2 drivers and installed 15.12 still no luck I was getting better rates with 16.9.2 does anyone else for whatever reason I can't mine etc anymore so I have one instant dual on etc and my 270 running on exp if anyone else gets better rates with newer drivers on r9 cards please let me know also is anyone else having trouble mining with 2gb cards thanks

Yes, 2GB mining eth is dead.

it is dead 4 days ago when the v8.0 was released !?!? may be ..... only a coincidence.

eth are at epoch 108 (less then a day to 109) and the dag size it is becoming too large for 2gb cards

Epoch 107   -> 1.971.321.728
Epoch 108   -> 1.979.707.264
Epoch 110   -> 1.996.487.552
Epoch 111   -> 2.004.874.624

no more words needed  Cry

on etc the h/s dropping is greater , only 2,5 mhs !! Shocked
but not on exp, it give me 18mhs (due to smaller #epoch)

ok, i will try to reinstalling the driver again (but i'd prefer to still on 15.12) and also afterburner ...

i will let you know asap

I had same problem!

solved with uninstalling GPU driver using DDU (display driver uninstaller) and reinstalling 17.2.1 driver - now it works as it should

Use SET instead of SETX maybe?

Hi to all,
I have a strange problem. A few days ago, when the new version 8.0 has been released, i decided to test it.
I state that I mine eth for almost 6 months without any problems.
On one of my small rig (with only 3 card, 1 270x and 2 390 nitro) the hashrate of the 270x dropped from about 11mhs to 5mhs.

I immediatly reverted back to the 7.3 but nothing, the 270x's hashrate still the same .... 5 mhs!  Shocked
I tried to restart the rig, reinstall the drivers but none of that helped!

I also tried to mine xmr and zec but there is no drop in expected h/r. Performance drop is only on eth (eth only or dual mining)

My command line is:

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

EthDcrMiner64.exe -esm 0 -mode 0 -etha 0,0,0 -ethi 8,16,16 -gser 2 (..... bla bla bla .....) -dcoin dcr -dcri 15,45,55

Any ideas ?

If Dual mining, a Dcri setting of 17 fetches you the most profitable balance of ETH and PASCAL.
And if you want to maximize ETH, do not solo mine, dual mine with a Dcri of 5, that produces the max ETH hash while generating enough PASCAL to cover electricity costs.
what is the -dcri mean?

It is perfectly written in the manual - page 1.

Quote
-dcri   Decred/Siacoin/Lbry/Pascal intensity. Default value is 30, you can adjust this value to get the best Decred/Siacoin/Lbry mining speed without reducing Ethereum mining speed.
   You can also specify values for every card, for example "-dcri 30,100,50".
   You can change the intensity in runtime with "+" and "-" keys and check current statistics with "s" key.
   For example, by default (-dcri 30) 390 card shows 29MH/s for Ethereum and 440MH/s for Decred. Setting -dcri 70 causes 24MH/s for Ethereum and 850MH/s for Decred.

you can change it with '+/-' button on your keyboard with the miner running.

thanks a lot..
