i have 3 gpu in 1 rig. one of it causes bsod while dual mining.
what i want to do is run the 2 gpu on dual mining while the 3rd gpu only mines eth

what should i do? pls help

Run 2 instances of miner. You need to change monitor port on one to prevent error messages about it. You could also set different -dcri for each card, making the 480 dcri really low.

You can put in the command line to only run Ethereum.

Read the first page on how to set it up but I think its like " -mode 1"

Edit: Yes, -mode 1 in the setup will have it run Ethereum Only.

It seems that the -logfile option is not working anymore, or at least it is failing miserably in my rigs (Ubuntu 16.04 x64, 5xSapphire RX480 8GB each).

I'm getting the following message:

Win10 x64 corp LTSB, 6*MSI 480 4G non-ref, driver ver.19.3.2, Claymores dualminer 7.0 ETH+SIA

After night have a lot of messages "Application EthDCRMiner64. blocked access to the graphics hardware" and 2 reboots/12Hrs. No overclock, no downvoltage, stock config.
Have some ideas?

Perhaps they are suggesting don't use reference 480 with sata connector powering riser on the drivers before they changed it to draw more power from pcie connector. Any 8 pin card should be fine, I run them on sata connectors (all mine have 8 pin connectors). At launch they would draw up to about 80w from the slot, and the sata connectors are really only rated for ~50-55. Molex is rated for 75. After the bad press, they updated driver to make the VRMs draw less from socket.

I mean he means Molex cable instead of SATA cable should be used for "bigger" card, as I mentioned above

TO MAKE THINGS CLEAR--

ONLY 2 GPU cards should be connected to 1 SATA/MOLEX/PERIFERAL power cable extending from the PSU. Some of these cables have all three types of connectors, but no more than two cards should be connected. Which connector you use on the multi-connector periferal cable is up to you. I have PSUs with "perif" labels, and PSUs with "SATA" lables, and the cables have multiple connectors which vary per PSU brand. Light weight cards like the 750ti often come with Molex-to-PCIe adapters thaat should not be used with more power-hungry cards. The little adapters melt and short out.

No warnings come with the adapters, and it is frightening to watch a 280X melt through an adapter and begin to cause a fire. Non-powered risers pose the same hazard. --scryptr
