Hello,

i Use

Ubuntu 1604
Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v6.4
SAPPHIRE NITRO RADEON RX 470 8G

and i have test the option

-cvddc 1050
-mvddc 1050

but if i reduce the mV - nothing change on the Power Consumtion (I measure the power consumption with a calibrated electricity Watt meter)

what do i worng?

lg Martin

From OP or Readme:

-cvddc   set target GPU core voltage, multiplied by 1000. For example, "-cvddc 1050" means 1.05V. You can also specify values for every card, for example "-cvddc 900,950,1000,970". Supports latest AMD 4xx cards only in Windows.
Note: for NVIDIA cards this option is not supported.

-mvddc   set target GPU memory voltage, multiplied by 1000. For example, "-mvddc 1050" means 1.05V. You can also specify values for every card, for example "-mvddc 900,950,1000,970". Supports latest AMD 4xx cards only in Windows.
Note: for NVIDIA cards this option is not supported.

I have a GIGABYTE GA-Z170X-UD5 board, trying to boot 5 470/480s.  I have them all on powered 1x-16x risers. It won't POST with 5 cards, but it will boot with 4 cards, mining now, 100% stable. Tried changing slots.  Tried changing PCIE gen to 1, 2, and 3 in bios.  Default display set to onboard.  Is there a different setting I need to change?  Looked through the bios, didn't see anything else. Is this a board that needs 16x risers if using more than 4 cards?  If so, can someone link one that won't fry a card?

Unfortunately the Z170 motherboards have some strange PCI Lane limitation that won't let you run more than 4 or 5 cards.
Hmm, I was thinking it would be fine since it has 7 slots, and you would think a board would be designed to use all slots, or at least more than 4. Sad  Going go see if I can get 5 working by a card directly in board, as I don't have 16x risers to test.  I didn't get a BTC pro because I heard their were high failure rates.  This true?  Or only on the H97?

I think the ASrock H81 Pro BTC is quite decent mobo and have very good track record -- even from the days of Litecoin circa 2014. Go see Bits Be Trippin Youtube videos... they are rave on that board. A board that popular must be that good, no?  Grin

Tried placing a card in a slot on the board, still won't POST.

Yeah many there were just bad reviews where I looked from a vocal minority.  That board is discontinued, what other boards support 6 cards?

Hello Claymore,

can you add Bikercoin to your GPU and CPU Mining software please?
Bikercoin is a Cryptonote based coin, so you should add the support to your Cryptonote mining software. But it would be very nice if you can add Bikercoin support to ETH/DCR/SIA Miner too.

I'm the owner of an Bikercoin pool.
You can reach my Pool at: http://bikercoin.acidminer.org

You can contact me here by answer my pm. Roll Eyes
kind regards

i think not possible because cryptonote is mem intensive?

If you use more than 4 cards you need a MB with an extra molex 4 pin connector like this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ASRock-H97-Anniversary-motherboard-ATX-LGA1150-Socket-H97ANNIVERSARY-/112016860002?hash=item1a14b9a362:g:EgEAAOSwv9hW2Jck
So you can't boot with 5 cards because the MB doesn't have enough power for all your PCI-E cards.

Isn't that the point of the powered risers?  The cards get all their power from molex directly connected to the riser circuit board.  The only thing going to the motherboard is a USB cable from riser to 1x board for data.  Motherboard power can really only power 2 or 3 cards anyway because the ATX plug only has 150W available.  I have seen posts of people saying connecting molex to mobo is optional on that board anyway as long as you use powered risers.

The USB risers will work for the individual PCIE connections. If you have three USB risers connect to the same molex cable, it will burn the cable.

Each cable from PSU is connected to a single card.  All the cards are 8 pin, so power draw from the slot shouldn't be an issue.

Maybe you're right, but according to the manual of the MB if you use more than 4 GPU's you have to connect the molex... I own 3 of these MB and also powered risers, but never tried the cards without connecting the  4 pin molex.
