Some news:

- Finally AMD released ADL10, so I can add temperature/clocks management for Radeon 4xx cards.
- I almost finished NVIDIA support.

I will release new version in 2-4 days.

PS. Still no good nvidia driver for 1070 card for Windows 7/10 for ETH mining? Right now I see ridiculous 1MH/s speed.

There is a driver that works. You need the latest Windows 10 update (anniversary edition 1607) and then you need to update the driver through windows (weird I know, nvidia hasn't published it yet).

You can find the details here: https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/2227/cuda-miner/p64

Then the 10xx series will work with Win 10.

I'd like to test it on Win7 firstly, I don't like Win10 with its paranoid defender, updates, two control panels, etc. Anyway, I will try to make it work in Win7, if it fails I'll try Win10.

Ya, the fix seems to be exclusive to Win10 but people are getting 30+mh/s now with the 1070s.

I have a GTX 960 in my desktop system and the only way to get more than 3mh/s is to use a build of Genoil's miner on CUDA 6.5 and use the older 347 nvidia drivers. Then I get around 10mh/s with it.

GTX 960 MAKES ~10MH/s MINING ETH--

I have a five card GTX 960 rig on Ubunto 14.04 and it makes about 52MH/s total.  A properly configured GTX 1060 will do twice that, 18-20MH/s, same as a good GTX 970.       --scryptr

Hey Claymore,

Will the Nvidia support be a seperate .exe or will the new miner be able to mine with Nvidia and AMD in the same system and claymore instance?  Also will it Support Kepler and Maxwell or just newer Pascal stuff?

v6.0 will support amd or nvidia or mixed amd+nvidia in same system. I test it on 970, 980 and 1070 cards on recent drivers. Nvidia 980 works a bit worse in dual mode than AMD 290/390, did not try 1070 yet.

There is a driver actually, WHQL 369.09

Windows 10 ver1607 (Anniversary build is a must) + 369.09 whql, genoil 1.17 , MSI 1070 1900GPU/4800 samsung memory (+950)
33Mh/s

My computer freezes if I up the memory that high. You got a good card there. I am keeping it east at a 29.3 mean hash rate and 50% power limit which would amount to 75 watts internal and most likely 90 from the wall. I could go for 31.5 hashes but I've had my display on black screen after leaving it for awhile like that.

BTW - which GPU is the most powerfull for ETH mining and what is the hash speed of it??

390X or 1080? Or something else...?

Go for MSI 390 - 270-280 dollars - 30 Mhs Eth + 600 Mhs Sia
Avoid Gigabyte

far cheapear them 1080 and almost the same for eth

390s are also very stable & solid performer esp. those MSI ones.

But beware..... 390s are gas-guzzlers! They can suck the life out of your PSU.

Always undervolt - I get 30.xxMhs per card after -96mV/1040/1125 in AB.

They are overpriced and suck.

TITAN X DRIVERS NEED A HACK--

The Titan X drivers need a hack to work for lesser GTX 10XX cards:

"...mining works on gtx 1080 for me using 369.05 titan x driver, simply modify the nv.dispi.inf file inside the Display.Driver folder with 2 lines:

add NVIDIA_DEV.1B80 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080" under [strings]

and %NVIDIA_DEV.1B80% = Section062, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1B80 under [NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.6.1] or others, the number corresponds to windows versions (win7, 8, 8.1), then the driver should install and mining works on win 7, 8 or 8.1. This method however DOES NOT work on windows 10, the driver crashes and refuses to install."

The above was quoted from miner kps, who posted it on Genoil's CUDA Ethminer thread in the Ethereum Community Forum on August 4th.  LINK:  https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/comment/52463/#Comment_52463

Some additional information on how to use the hack for 1070 cards is further down on the same page.  All credit goes to kps!

And what hash speed do you get with your 1080?

REPORTS ARE 32-34MH/s--

For a properly installed 1080.  A GTX 1060 does 2X the Dagger-Hashimoto hashrate of a GTX 960 (18-20MH/s vs 10MH/s), and is equivalent to a GTX 970 at 20MH/s.  For my sake, it is still too soon to buy GTX 10XX cards, no rebates yet and manufacturers have not fully optimized their line-up.  The memory in a GTX 1080 is not optimal for current Dagger-Hashimoto code.  A GTX 960, or a GTX 970, will perform proportionally better for their size.

I don't own a GTX 1080 yet, I just bought a couple GTX 980ti cards at fire-sale prices.  When the drivers are smoothed out, and the rebates and sales start, I'll look into getting one.       --scryptr
