Looking for some help with my rig. Have been using claymore for a year no issues until now, but yesterday i did a bios update to fix the issue of 5 of 6 GPUs being discovered in device manager and it worked but now claymore crashes almost straight after opening with no error message. Maybe your Claymore software is corrupted. Try and re-install the current version or try a different version.

You should also just try the XMR or ZEC miner and see if those work. If they work then there is something wrong with the Claymore ETH software.

If they don't work either, then its a different issue.

I am thinking you should try and add more system memory (not video memory) and see if that works. Because its strange that it worked before but now it doesn't.

Maybe its the DAG growing and you need more system RAM. If you don't want to buy more RAM then just use Linux instead which will use less memory.

Tried 8gd of RAM, Claymore xmr miner, phoenix miner and reinstalled claymore eth both v9 and lastest all resulted in the same problem. This started happening as soon as i updated the bios so is there a setting im missing? Iv set all pci to gen 1 and tried enabling above 4g decoding also change around tolud

The miner is run by root and it has the same owner/group and permissions in both places.

I'm having a minor inconvenience with the -epoolsfile option.
I'm using claymore trough Simplemining.net which means that finer folder gets swiped when i switch miner.
This means that the epools.txt gets removed every time and my solution is to copy in a backup from another location.

I have tried to add -epoolsfile and the direct path to the backup file but it does not seem to be able to read that file for some reason.
-epoolsfile /home/miner/epools.txt

gives this when I press "r"
Code:
Reloading /home/miner/epools.txt
ETH: 1 pool is specified
This refers to the pool entered on the command line.

if I copy this epools.txt to /root/miner/claymore-eth-v11.8/epools.txt and remove the -epools on the command line it gives the following in the log:
Code:
Reloading epools.txt
ETH: 4 pools are specified
Which means it reads the file with three pools + the one on the command line

So am I entering the path to the alternative epoolsfile wrongly in some sense or is Claymore unable to use absolute paths (so ../../../home/miner/epools.txt would work better)?
Nah it gives
Code:
Reloading ../../../home/miner/epools.txt
ETH: 1 pool is specified

Did you check your file permissions? Since you're traversing into a different directory structure, what is that directory's permissions?  What is that file's permissions? Which group/user?  You can give read access only to it. You don't need write access to keep the permissions secure.

Just thought the community would like to know what the dev fee in Claymore's miner actually converts to in Coins per day and average hash rate at "ONE" of the "-allpools 1" that his miner points at.

Not bad for just one of the pools that his miner mines at for 1-2% dev fee is it.

Unbelievable.

Wonder if he gives back. Smiley

I suspect your numbers are actually low.  He uses multiple addresses to mine too, in addition to using multiple pools. Wink

Hello

I have this problem with this style.
I select the option -di 02 and select the card in slots 1 and 2.
When I put the -d 12 option, then the miner selects the cards in slots 0 and 2.
It turns out the miner confuses slots 0 and 1.
Can you fix this?

Sadly I had to give up on Claymore, reliability has gone downhill for my rx560 2gb rig, finding much less shares and way too many incorrect.
I switched to Ethminer on SMOS and it's rock stable.

I'm not updated the latest situation in Eth mining for almost a month since I shutdown my rig.. I hope the long time problem of the ASUS 19 pcie slot will now resolve with the latest AMD driver.

Hi, I've a rig with 4 x RX570 4Gb, Windows 10 v.1709 and AMD Drivers Blockchain. Claymore 11.9 work fine but I wanted to ask if it would be better to upgrade the AMD video driver....what is currently the best AMD driver to install?
thank you!

The 'AMD Blockchain Drivers' are now integrated into the latest AMD drivers - just use the latest AMD drivers and select the 'Compute Mode' (if it's available for the RX570) and you're ready to go.

Hi, guys!

Have you noticed the change in the share rate on the new versions of Dual Miner?

I've mined for a long time on a good old version 7.3. But after block 6000000 it had fully refused to work.
So I had to update to version 11.9. And now I see the drop in the share rate (and income) for about 13%.

Here are the numbers for a single GTX 1060 3 Gb:

Version  7.3, hashrate 21 Mh, average share rate for a long period 37 shares per hour.

Version 11.9, hashrate 22.5 Mh, average share rate for a long period 32 shares per hour.

Do you have any idea for the reason of such a significant drop?

There were absolutely no changes to the hardware or software of the rig.

I don't have any Nvidia GPUs but I had a similiar issue with some AMD rigs.

Basically the hashrate was faster however it was unstable.

Basically I did 2 things. There is an option to

-oldkernels Which uses the kernels for certain GPUs from older versions

and

-asm 0 This was set to 1 originally and it caused my rigs to freeze after a few minutes.

yip V11.8/9 is crap compared to the older versions eg V9 etc, ive also had a massive drop and looking into other miners
