People refuse to read the readme file supplied with each miner.
So lazy. Want instant answers without putting any effort into it.

janding - grow up. I've read the readme several times and this thread. I still can't figure out how to get it work. The readme does not mention a subfolder, just filename. I'm running windows.

Edit: Now that I know it is possible, I figured it out. You have to use the full windows path...

For example...

-logfile C:\Claymore\logs\logname_log.log

Highly optimized 13x RX480 rigs, custom per card bios, etc. 0 invalid shares, 24ms accept time, on eth1.ethermine.org
Was running perfeclty stable for weeks with 11.1

Witih 11.2, 11.3 and 11.4 crashes all the time.
Hash rate increases but there is no point in it if I have to lower the memclocks to keep the cards from crashing.

Back to 11.1 and stable again, relatively high stale rate (5-15%). 0 invalid shares. 24ms accept time.
Back to 10.6 and lowered stale rate even more (2%).

Claymore, thanks very much for putting in -oldkernels into 11.5.
Reporting everything works smooth now.

Thanks very much for your efforts.

What happened guys, i was mining very good with v.11.4 with the fixed stale shares and everything was great  1-2 % stale shares. But now (12 hours already) i got 8-12 % stale shares and nothing was changed. Is there any problem with ethermine ?
Anyone else noticed doubled stale shares last 12 hours ?

noticed the same on 11.4 @nanopool. as there are no stale shares at Nano I just see the reduced calculated hash after 12+ hours of mining. first 12 hours average hash is slightly higher than reported, that it goes lower and lower.

Those of you on Windows 10 getting random shutdowns do this:

Right click start. bat file - properties - options - uncheck QuickEdit Mode - apply - ok

What happens is a window like control panel, Windows defender or task manager comes up and the console freezes. Then the window goes away Claymore resumes and uh oh! Looks like our GPUs failed. But they didnt. Fall creator update did this not Claymore.

While you're in there increase the font size and make it bold.

I dont think you are right on this ...
- I dont have creartor update on my nvdia rigs , rigs working fine with v 11.2 without any problem
- 11.4 and 11.5 working fine with AMD cards, but my nvidia rigs keep restarting randomly if im using 11.4 or 11.5

So... its can not be the win 10 creator update ... and yes claymore 11.4 and 11.5 creating the random restarts , 11.2 working just fine ...

@claymore, what this means?
...
2 x GTX 1070.

It happens only on nvidia gpus and all gpus at once. This is in your latest version 11.5v. The computer keeps restarting because of that. It does not restart straight away, time to happen it is random.
Regardless of how or why (I don't think it was a recent Windows 10 update, either), you should turn "QuickEditMode" off.  It does cause the problem described where the window appears to be "frozen".

Claymore - Would it be possible to have the logs go into a subfolder in the next version?

+1 yes that's a really good idea
or autodelete and leave only few recent logs

Both of these are already possible ages ago. in logfile add subdir like /subdir/logname_log.log and logsmaxsize set to whatever MBs you want to hold logs for.

Do you mine running HwInfo 24/7 can affect hashrate/valid shares and overall work of the miner?

Yes, it can affect overall stability of a system

switched from 11.0 to 11.5 and running since 5 hours stable, so far no problems. Also believe stale shares are slightly lower and performance is better (0.1 - 0.2 mh/s per card)

I thinj you are right.  This happened before the fall update but it is still there.  Try it both ways yourself.  Open task manager with QuickEdit enabled see what happens. It's possible claymore is now incompatible with QuickEdit mode?

Also I think you are having a different issue altogether.  I wish you luck in resolving.
