I'd say that largely depends on the maker of your cards and the memory brand being used. you will find a good source of VBIOS mods and the necessary tools for many cards over at anorak.tech

For example I have 10 sapphire nitro+ SE RX580 SE 8GB which perform at around 31 mh/s each (Hynix and Micron memory) and 3 MSI ARMOR OC RX580 8GB at 28.8 mh/s (Hynix). Rig performs at 398 mh/s on ETH.

But, aren't you a bit late to the show bearing in mind that mining income is dwindling?

You need to find the best settings for your own cards and memory type. My cards are a mix of Asus RX 580/480 with Samsung memory (first three with 2050 MHz memory overclock), Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580's with Samsung memory (2100 MHz memory overclock), Hynix memory (2200 MHz memory oveclock) and a MSI Gaming X RX 580 with Samsung memory (last card with a 2050 MHz memory overclock).

Code:
-cclock 1200,1150,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200
-mclock 2050,2050,2050,2200,2100,2100,2100,2220,2220,2220,2100,2220,2050
-powlim -10,-5,-10,-15,-10,-15,-10,-10,-5,-10,-10,-10,-10
-cvddc 950,950,950,850,900,850,850,900,900,900,850,900,900
-mvddc 950,950,950,850,900,850,850,900,900,900,850,900,900

v11.3:

- added automatic detection of best -dcri values in ASM ETH-only mode if -dcri option is missed.
Press "s" key to see current values, you can also press "z" key to restart detection.
- improved support for systems with many GPUs (eight and more) and slow CPU: much less CPU load, EthMan works fine now.
- added assembler kernel for RX550 card. This card is not good for dual mining, but in ETH-only mode ASM kernel is faster by about 7%.
- added "x" key to select GPU for manual -dcri value adjustment.
- several minor bug fixes and improvements.

Confirm on v11.3 EthMan is now working correctly with a Core i3-6100 and 13 RX 580 8GB cards. CPU utilization when down from ~35% to ~8%. I Also got a ~1 MH/s ETH and ~7 MH/s KEC speed bump dual mining from v11.2 with the Adrenaline 18.3.1 drivers. Thank you for the update!

Hi,

Can you share your mod for RX580 cards?
MemClock?
CoreClock?
Mem Voltage?
Core Voltage?

Thank you! Smiley

Decred mining with GPUs is dead but whatever, go ahead.  Grin

According to my math dual mining ETH/DCR, the decred pays for the power for that card.  Grin Grin Grin

I have noticed a 2% increase going from 10.6 to 11.2 then another 0.5% on top going from 11.2 to 11.3/

Nice job Claymore this version performs the same as you're competition.   Seems very stable like 11.0
You still have me with the duel mining.  I just hope the bitmain eth ascis are just a rumor. Lips sealed

Hi,

Using this miner with old R9 280x in single mode.

When I mine altcoins I get 20 mh.
But when I mine Etherium I get only 10 mh.

Why???

What altcoins were you mining? Different coins have different algorithms and different speeds. If you were mining another ethash coin (Ethereum classic, Ubiq, or Expanse) and getting different speeds then there might be an issue.
Ellaism(ELLA) for example...
The DAG file of ETH is large. So it is slow.
So there is no sense to mine ETH with this GPU? Only altcoins?

280X is slow for DAG over 2GB, no fix yet. DAG for Ethereum is more than 2GB so it is slow, better mine other coins.

Nvidia 1060 3gb have same problem?

What GPU memory size should be to have same hashrate as with altcoins?

Hi all, I got modded 560-s. Here is my question - why I am getting 13mh on Musicoin on each card and only 10mh on Ethereum on each card? any suggestions? Thanks.  Smiley

Use blockchain drivers or set "compute" mode in drivers.

I switched to linux version of Claymore some time ago. But am I blind or why is linux version storing in log files less info then win version? For example one of my rigs is rebooting. I want to analyze problem reading logs. On windows version I saw in that case for example Gpu0 failed. On linux I can see only "NVML: cannot get fan speed, error 999" but NO info about which gpu crashed the driver. Can anybody point me right direction?
Thanks a lot...

My understanding is that the DAG file for each coin is different so you will see a different hashrate for different coins using the same algo. Try it with other ethash coins and see what you get.

New Version 11.3 abysmally unstable.  Having multiple cards report abnormally large hashrates then crashing after 1-2 minutes of mining.   Attaching logs.

Been mining ETH only with Nanopool for a few months and I want to add second coin in dual.
Can I add a seperate DCR suprnova pool and keep mining with Nanopool for ETH.

Thanks.

Yes you can

Just run 11.3

I have 2 x RX580 with 8 Gb (bios mods) and 3 x  RX470 with 8Gb (no BIOS mods) in my rig.

For testing I've choose auto detect -dcri value and miner detect value of 30 for all 5 cards. For RX580 -dcri 30 is the wright choice for best ETH+DCR mining output. But for rx470's -dcri 30 is not the best one, the best one is 24.

I believe the miner is not able to chose best -dcri value for different type of cards in one rig?

However it is a useful option to help find best setup.

Thank you Claymore.

I understand that automatic dcri is only for eth solo mode. For dual mining mode dcri value 30 is only default value not the best value.

You are correct. -dcri values are detected automatically only for AMD cards in ASM ETH-only mode. For dual mode it is always 30 if you did not specify "-dcri" option directly.

why now windows and any other av delete file on download ,i cant even extract it

This is because all av detect miners as a virus

1.Create a folder MINERS (or any name) - add this folder to windows defender exclusion list
2.switch OFF windows defender real time protection and download miner to the above folder
3. switch ON windows defender real time protection

dcri is different for each coin and card, for mine rx570, dcri = 42 is the best for eth/xvg

GPU hangs are most often from to a high overclock, especially on the memory or too much undervolt for that card. Sometimes draining all the power from the capacitors also helps reset the GPU's and risers. Shutdown down the rig, cutoff the power to the PSU with the switch on the back and press the power button to drain all the power. Then after 1-2 minutes turn the rig back on.

Thanks, let me try this out.

I did memory bios flash to the max, if turn off doesn't work I will 're flash to lower MHz.

Tried complete shut down and 're start but did not work. Then reduce  men clock from 2250 to 2200 and miner worked longer than before before 're-start. I think I will have find the balance  set up to get this going.

However, on monero it doesn't give any problem but 8 gb card gives less hashes proportionate to 4th. 4gb gives 413 and 8 gb 830 hashes which is almost 2 times of 4gb. Whereas, on eth 4gb is 13 mhs and 8 gb is 31 mhs which is almost 2.5 times of 4 gb.
