Hello All,

Excuse my ignorance if someone already asked this I just did not had the time to go over all the pages of this thread.  Few days ago a video was published in youtube showing that a single GTX 1070 is doing 58MH/s, has someone tested it or it is a scam?

Link to the video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymO2VeIA8hc

I guess Claymore will be able to say if that is possible at all, the chaps who made the video are stating that they have modified the drivers to achieve that speed.

Thank you!
Octan

Nobody else has ever achieved much hashrate increase, let alone doubling, with any driver 'modifications'. And they want $200 for it…  please pay for it, try it out, then report back here  Grin

Thanks again for this claymore, I particularly like the maximum log size option that you have included.

Are blockchain drivers reporting correct hash rates now?

Ethereum Miner
I'll check it out, thanks for the update.

Anyone know why I need to sometime launch Claymore's miner twice on startup to get my full hashrate?

For example, after a rig reboots, i launch the miner and the first GPU reports 30 Mh/s, and the rest report maybe 26 Mh/s. But if I close the miner and restart the program, on the second try they are all reporting correctly at 30 Mh/s.

Would the -gser setting help with this?

I have the same issue. Anybody know how to fix it?

If that’s your only issue it could be fixed by using -minspeed argument.

Hi Guys and Gals,

A quick question. how can you see the wallet, -ewal and/or -dwal values in runtime?

"s" and other options at runtime do not give this info
also the Miner Manager does not show this...

Just to confirm your not giving it so someone else!!!  Shocked

Thanks

You can see it only at the startup miner or at the log files, you will notice this at the pool when you are giving your hashrate to someone else.

Did you change the workload setting in AMD settings?  I updated my 2 GPU rig and didn't lose any speed.  Probably upgrading my 5 and 11 GPU rigs sometime this weekend.

right. thanks for the tip. seems to be working proper. (the best is that overdriven tool works as it should now)
it's a pity though that in order to switch to "compute" I need to install this AMD gui shit.
@claymore can you maybe expose this mode through their API? is it there anyways?

Add option -gser 5 to your start.bat file

Very nice idea but unfortunatelly it didn't work. Same symptoms.

Thanks though Smiley

Is there any way to use latest drivers Crimson ReLive Edition 17.10.2 and dont have epoch problem?
Or is there any way to use epoch fix and dont have undervolt problem?  Undecided

Unfortunately I am having big problems with the latest drivers.

Even though I installed them and they are working great on my PC which has 1x RX 580 8GB Nitro+ (Hynix), my rig was a different story.

It took many, many minutes for the drivers to get installed. When they did, AMD Radeon Settings would change half of my cards to "compute" with no problem but for the other 4 I would have to restart my rig in order for the setting to apply.

Upon running Claymore miner, the rig became unresponsive while setting DAG file. What I mean by saying "unresponsive" is that it the cursor would remain blinking without moving on the next usual commands -creating DAG file-. In the log file the last entry was "start building OpenCL program for GPU 7". At this point, if and when I performed a single click on the desktop, the whole rig froze.

I have performed DDU and gone back to BlockChain Beta Drivers (with which my rig was performing well) and it was back to normal. To be sure I did nothing wrong I tried:

  • Going back and forth between BlockChain and latest Drivers 3 times
  • Earlier Claymore miner versions
  • Setting global settings to Graphics (instead of compute)

The symptoms remained. I do not have time right now to clean install Windows 10 and try again, I hope I can do so in the weekend. In the meantime, if anyone else is experiencing the same problems, please let us know.

My rig:

ASUZ Prime Z270-P
8x RX 580 8GB Nitro+ (Hynix)
Windows 10
Radeon™ Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.10.2
Claymore Dual Miner v.10.1
Modded BIOS

Add option -gser 5 to your start.bat file

confirmed the wind 10 64 bit new drivers work for 10+ cards

I have a 10 GPU rig running now, what I did find is uninstalling afterburner first helps

also with so many GPU it would also sometimes hang on when u run claymore, I fixed this by using -gser 2 option

It still hangs when i try and dual mine so I need to do more tweaking.

ALso AMD settings and MSI after burner do not play nice togther, I decided to roll with wattman since I cannot set the voltages on this mortherboard

the ASUS 16 Slot one with MSI AB
Which GPU that you use on your rig?
pure AMD GPU  or mix with nvidia?

No all Rx570 and 470 mix , no nividia cards

Are you saying actually that you're running 10 AMD cards on WinX with "amd latest driver" - is this correct?
And if so what rates are you getting on ethash with this driver?

12 cards actually, just added two more this AM. and Yes thats correct.
hash rates are the same as block chain driver, the kicker is my systems are way more stable with this new driver

I had one rig of six R9 nano I upgraded to this new driver with modded evilop bios that used to crash one a day, its been two days with the new driver and its rock solid.

I also have not yet seen the issue i had before with the robin hood and beta blockchain driver where I would see hashrate of 8.33 or some crap sometimes, but its still
early.

Only issue with the new drivers is they can be hard to install, sometimes taking multiple DDU cleanings to install, and I HAD to remoVE AB.

I might install it back , becase wattman is crap

that's interesting. is that a win update, or just driver? you should try to use overdriventool for clocks and volts, it's better then claymore - as you can set proper stages as well.
also AB is known to have nasty issues

not sure I follow you...please indicate the rates that you are getting from rx570 on ethereum with latest(version?) driver?

just tested some of the latest "crimson-relive-17.10.2-oct23"
and it doesnt not have the dag fix, so no matter if it supports over 8 cards (it also works better with the volts from overdriventool ...) but 23MH on ETH vs 30MH on 17.7.2 or whatever the ver number of blockchain drv...

- added detailed stats about rejected shares per GPU ("s" key).
Please add this in to JSON stats, like this:

"gpu_shares":"{2035,2010,1930,1500,2060}
"gpu_rejected":"{3,1,10,239,6}

-logsmaxsize   maximal size of debug log files, in MB. At every start the miner checks all files in its folder, selects all files that contain "_log.txt" string and removes oldest files if summary files size is larger than specified value.
Specify "-logsmaxsize 0" to cancel old logs removal. Default value is 1000 (i.e. about 1GB of log files are allowed).
How it works if my log file is another folder, because I specify absolute path to my log file?
And the second question about logfile - when miner work pretty long time, log file is big, so it cost time to open it and go last part of it to see the reason of crush, as I understand -logsmaxsize will not limit max size of current working logfile?

EthMan: added detailed stats mode in web server.
detailed stats for nvidias are not shown in web (-platform 3). See last 3.

Hi i got a problem.

5 card rig, everything was working great. I decided to restarted and no claymore says there is no amd or nvidia card connected in red and closes itself "No AMD or NVIDA cards found, exit". As i said no change was made to the configuration everything working great the cards show up correctly in device manager and AB.

Any idea how to solve it?

Thanks
install amd drivers again and also patch them.
