Is anyone running GTX 1070s and experiencing wild variations in hash rates second by second?  Full speed hash rate is just over 30 Mh/s but I'm seeing it swing between 19, 24, and 30 continuously.  It was more stable before, not sure what changed.  It's only 51C so it's not throttling due to temperature.

What memory?

What settings OC and Powerslide?

It's necessary to decrease the Power Limit on AB? I have for now:
Voltage: -96mV
Power Limit: 0
Cclock: 1150
Mclock: 2112
Fan: auto

GPUz shows ~105w (RX 480 Nitro Plus 8GB)

EDIT: today the miner restars and when I OC again and restart Claymore I noticed that I lose ~1 MH/s, somebody had noticed it?

I can include the DAG recreation time for ETH epoch into devfee time so every hour you will get about 15 seconds of mining more.

That would be a very fair move of you! Smiley
Till now it resets the dev fee timer due to DAG recreation.

So you tried holding both DAG in memory? Is this a very hard thing to program? Otherwise this could get optional for devices with more than 4 gb RAM. So to say it would be without warranty an just to play with it. Maybe it is more stable than you think. Would save time where there is no mining. Good for you and good for us. Smiley

But not resetting the dev fee timer would be good as well. I just don't like the cards to drop out of full load to cool down a bit and than get hot aggain. Just the same temperature and load is the best I (personally) think.

I agree this would be a fair move and a good compromise. With ETH mining becoming more and more competitive many of us are turning to other coins to mine. With the DAG recreation delay, the 1% fee often turns into 2-3% lost revenue as the biggest loss in mining time is because of the switch to a new DAG and back every time the DEV fee kicks in.

Another idea is maybe a longer DEV mining period but less often, say once every 2 hours instead of once per hour. I know it is a balance between earning a fair fee and trying to minimize those who use tricks (miner restarts) to avoid paying it, but this would also help out with the interruptions.

Yeah the DAG switching issue is annoying, it's small but still is lost time.  It's worse the more cards you have in a rig.

Hello people,
I've RX470 cards.
I'm trying to use the AMD blockchain driver to deal with DAG file issue that we are having.
But MSI afterburner does not respond to it and I can't overclock the cards. I've used the afterburner beta and applied the fixes, but still no respond.
Here my steps:
Fully updated win10. I removed the old driver with AMD clean uninstaller > Reboot > Installed the blockchain driver. > Since the I've edited the card's BIOS, I used the driver patcher BEFORE rebooting the system, All options are found, patch done. > Reboot. > And after system comes up, Card is good, but Afterburner Beta still can't overclock it.

I tried to overclock with the Claymore itself, which may I add, is pretty easy and effective, but the problem I get is, that I can only overclock the GPU 0. 6 next cards (I have 7 cards on the rig) won't get the settings. I used the code like this:
" -cclock 1100 -mclock 2050"
or
"-cclock 1100,1100,1100,1100,1100,1100,1100 -mclock 2050,2050,2050,2050,2050,2050,2050" (Or different values)
And no results. I only can overclock GPU0.

I could use some help. I really need to overclock these cards.
With current price and difficulty, I'm starting to get hurt.

I have never gotten Afterburner to work with any of my AMD cards and I spent a LOT of time on the problem.

Claymore, can you add option to set P6 and P7 states separately on Vega?  If you set P6 and P7 the same, you are forced to set power target way higher than needed, the frequency and voltage used is erratic, and mem keeps throttling unless you consume ~40W more than you need.  If P6 and P7 the same, the undervolt is erratic.

Good settings I found for ETH+LBRY on Vega 56.

Voltage 880 (shows ~912 in GPU-Z)
P6 1112
P7 1272
Mem 950
DCRI 50

Power limit like +15, though only uses about 12W more than stock max.
Frequency ends up being ~1210, you can run lower settings like 1000MHz but lose some eth and lbry to save like 30w.

Gets ~35MH Eth, 144MH LBRY, averages bout 3% lower due to speed dips. On latest drivers, had issues with blockchain drivers.

Power 178w GPU only, varies a lot lower though, ~1000W at wall for 4 cards, 1600 plat psu. Speed slightly less stable this way, may need more fine tuning, but saving ~170w for the rig. Sux using wattman for many cards though Sad Can also use overdriventool

When using this miner for other coins than ETH it always needs to create the DAG new when the dev fee kicks in. This takes way too much time .. is there a chance to fix this in future versions?
Maybe to keep the DAG files in graphics card RAM to switch to it very fast? Memory shouldn't be a problem on 8 GB cards .. It can update the DAG in background if necessary but that doesn't change that often ..
Would that be possible? Thanks a lot Smiley

1. For ETC and EXP you can use appropriate options and DAG won't be recreated.
2. Allocating twice more memory can cause instability on multi-GPU systems sometimes, also it won't work for 4GB GPUs. Instead, I can include the DAG recreation time for ETH epoch into devfee time so every hour you will get about 15 seconds of mining more.
I am currently mining Musicoin as I do not want to switch my 3 systems around to windows 10 from windows 7  just to get a blockchain driver to work. One other thing I noticed to but I fixed this was when I manuall set the DCRI after running the miner by pressing - or + it would reset to 30 after the devfee. I had to actual use -dcri x,x,x,x in the bat file in order for it to stay fixed for my cards when mining musicoin

This is a good question as I have noticed that while mining lower dag ethash coins the dev switch due to loading dag files twice now puts a hurt on my aver pool hashrate as when compared to mining ethereum. I feel I am loosing about 1-2% of my hashrate due to this. I could be wrong.

hello miners, i need some help

i am trying to dual mine Eth+Sia with Claymore's Dual v10 without any overclock and i use blockchain driver for my 3xAMD vega cards.
Everything works ok for eth BUT i am getting error message for sia coins.

SC: Received error: {"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":4,"error":{"code":-32700,"message":"target-miss"}}

i use this config (i hide the last digits with "xxxx" for the post):

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-eu1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal 0x52a8b69aDb6067B6a51b6Ad5d40c17F28xxxxxxx/Androxxxx/[email protected] -epsw x -dcoin sia -dpool stratum+tcp://sia-eu1.nanopool.org:7777 -dwal fd985fdd3278ac3afd6bea762b6ebb0408854d144e3246432d0e8ae99defe30865546xxxxxxx&worker=Androxxxx&email=xxxxxctory@hotmail.com -dpsw x -ftime 10

i can see my ETH stats at eth.nanopool.org but for SIA COINS i cannot see anything at sia.nanopool.org

i am sure that i am not the first one had this issue..
how can i solve this problem?

Thanks in advance

Try this at the end by adding -dcoin sia

EDIT- Sorry noticed after that you already have -dcoin sia in between... Maybe move it after but also have you got "=" instead of "/" after the sia address?

Try this:
-dwal fd985fdd3278ac3afd6bea762b6ebb0408854d144e3246432d0e8ae99defe30865546xxxxxxx/Androxxxx/[email protected]

Anyone care to share RX 570 hashrates with the new Claymore + blockchain driver for dual-mining ETH+LBC please?

With moded bios, mine rx 570 usually run at around 28M/s, depending on brands and oc setting.
More interested in the dual-mining with LBC part. What's your LBC hashrate with the new Claymore version?

Hi folks, hi claymore,

there still  seems to be a couple of bugs in ethdcrminer64. Some of them in dual mode exp+dcr. First of all i must tell that i only work with RX 560 cards.
I have 2GB and 4 GB versions of them and currently only Asus and Sapphire cards. 6 of them are in one rig with a 1000W PSU. All systems running windows
7 prof. 64 bit. Currently i have 3 computer running ethdcrminer64.

The first bug which i want to report is that ethdcrminer64 ever crashes reproducible on start. On all systems! The only way i found to get ethdcrminer64 running is to start zcashminer64 v12.4 before for "initialize" or "flush" the cards. After that ethdcrminer64 running fine, but only once. If i finish it and want to start it again, it crashes. I must start zcashminer64 once (and finish it) to start ethdcrminer64 again. It took me days to find that solution. It also dont help to reboot the system or to turn it off! This behaviour is reproducible on three systems and i tried ethdcrminer64 9.6 until 10.0 and Crimson Relive Edition 17.7.1 until 17.9.1. Two of my systems have currently only ONE RX 560. Dont ask me why, please.

The next bug i want to report is that in my opinion the dual mode (EXP + DCR) is buggy on systems with more than 4 GPUs (Win7 64bit, RX560). I searched over four weeks now for another possible solution but cant find it. I tried to undervolt, i checked possible GPU memory errors (HWInfo64), i checked the psu and the riser cards, i checked the intensity and othe options. I also tested to let the cards alone, dont changed anything on the volt or clock times. I checked the amount of watt for each card and made sure, thats its the same as for solo mode. Nothing helps. The systems with only one card running fine in dual mode. The system with six cards crashes coincidentally if there are more then 4 cards. And it dont really matter if i undervolt the cards or let them alone. It crashes sometimes after 20 minutes, sometimes after 6 hours and most of the times during i sleep :-)

In solo mode EXP the six gpu system works fine.

@claymore
i am ready for bugtesting if you want.

kind regards
Wolfen

Best PSU for a 4 GPU Card configuration?
What about a UPS system to keep things going? Any experience with that?
Is it wise to proceed with multiple internet connections (switch over) as a failsafe feature?
