Hy all!

I am pretty new in mining so i have one question if anyone can help me I would be really happy Smiley

So i have one question :

Can i command somehow to my claymore's miner that it need to restart when temperature of all GPU falls in idk 50°C ?

Is there any command where i can write this down and if is Can someone please explain me how and where to write it.

Thanks a lot for any help!

if you add the command
-tstop 50
It should stop the miner if your GPU reaches 50C but I think that would be a very low threshold. you can also use the following commands - tt for target temperature, -ttdcr to reduce dual mining intensity, -ttli to limit entire mining intensity
so for example you could have the below
-tt 60 -ttdcr 65 -ttli 70 -tstop 75

Hope this helps

Got a problem with this miner.
I'm mining for some time (4x GTX1070 and 2x R9 280x). And after some time the miner "loses" one GTX 1070.
How can I fix this?

It's only finding 5 cards then instead of 6.

Only reboot helps then.

Regards

I have a similar issue to this but I'm pretty sure mine is related to the USB risers not being solid... Is it always the same card that the miner loses? Do you get an error message or a reset in Claymore? Are you able to see all cards outside of claymore without restarting (this would mean it's not related to Claymore if you can't)

Hm. To what should i add. I mean where do i add this line ? Which foder or file ? Dual minning i don't really understand that - please short explain if you can .

And yes The problem is -  it can mine 2 hours , half day, one day or only 20 mins than is some kind of freeze. Clayamore miner is running but Msi shows me that temperature is not right - It should be from 60 - 65 , and they are than like 50-55. So that's why i want to commad or tell that programs that simply restart when the gpu reach this temp. I think the problem is in Vram becouse i overclocked it to almost max so i can get as much Mh/s . The 3x  GTX 1060 6GB gives me 72-73 mh/s.

Second thing if maybe who knows Smiley

1. I am mining in my work , so we have same connection . Do you think they could get me becouse i mine with their electricity ? i know it's kinda mean but who cares , the profit is profit hehe .

So the question is Can they see through internet connection that i am doing smthng ? Is mining like downloading files or it this totally different thing - Only using electricity?

And guys thanks all for answers!

In Windows I'm using SpeedFan -> configure -> events -> create event for each card on T < 55 more than N sec to run a .bat file to restart. After create or update on events close Speedfan and run it again - otherwise, settings are not saved correctly.

That's what it seems to best solution to me - but the problem gets when i want to configure -  i can't add program-

When i Get- Then->Execute-> ( it don't give me option to add program. https://imgur.com/xvikV4i

Do i need to close Claymore ?

I cannot seem to find an answer for this

I want each of my rigs to appear as a worker on the Ethereum pool, now the Pool states after your etereum address put .

for for example

-ewal 0xdc01a716e6fdf9d8ddba77971f4d5ffd3bd3c22b.1

when I do this I get an error message and disconnect from pool, so this is not working for me.

How can I distinguish each rig as a separate worker on the pool of which I cannot create workers to begin with

Use rigname with at least 2 chars and preferably max 8 chars.
(probably smart to NOT use special chars as well, just use letters and numbers)

rig01
rig02
etc...

tried that to and still get error

I get

ETH: Authorization failed
: {"id":2, "jsonrpc":"2.0","result":null,"error":{"code":-1,"message":"invalidlogin"}}
Stratum - reading socket failed 10039, disconnect
try different pool just to narrow down the possible reasons

It should stop the miner if your GPU reaches 50C but I think that would be a very low threshold

If you do this the miner will restart immediately (my guess). Any temperature >50 will cause a restart, and any operation in a GPU will cause a temperature >50

What Venum666 wants is a new parameter in claymore which will make miner restart if the temperature drops too low. This does not exist atm.

What exactly is your problem Venum666? What is your scenario? If it is what I think it is, then parameter -minspeed will do the job you want (readme.txt)

Hey guys my first post here!

1) Is it safe to run at this temperature or should I stop it until I get a fix?
2) How can I have claymore display the correct temperatures (is it the anorak bios that is affecting it?)

My r9 290x runs at 91-94 all day long. My rx 460 bios modded at 60-69 and my 1060 3gb at 57-60 when not dual mining (are any coins profitable to dual mine at 30% intensity and easy to save in a wallet/exchange? I tried zpool but my balance is still 0.0 after a full day running it.

You need to install the blockchain drivers and then the temps will show up OR buy/build an hdmi dummy plug and it will report them. If you can open WattMan you can see temps on Claymores however I dont need my dummy plugs anymore after putting the modded bios in and upgrading to v10.

Temps:
GPU0: 82 C (FAN: 62%)
GPU1: 59 C (FAN: 52%)
GPU2: 54 C (FAN: 100%)

Hey man thanks for your feedback seems to have been lost in all the other Vega chat apart from you and Ursul0 Smiley

So I found the problem on the reporting of temperatures and it was due to Claymore V9.7. After updating all that I was getting the reporting numbers ok and my -tt and -ttli etc seem to have started working Smiley

Now I'm running at a steady 25MH ETH and 750 Sia with temperatures of around 65C  for most cards and 40-50% fan with one card running a bit hotter at ~75 and 60-70% fan. Not exactly sure why that is happening but will keep tinkering until I find it... Think it is the second card in and it might be taking heat from first card as well as any heat generated from PSU which is pushed on (will check this by moving PSU away when I have time to run prolonged tests).

So now a few more questions:
1) Should I be happy with 25MH or should I push for 28 on these RX480 Shaphire Nitro+ 4GB(Elpida)? If so how do I do it? I currently have the Anorak Memshift Bios installed (when I had the overclocked Bios it tipped my PSU over 1200 when it tried dual mining). Would I need to go back to standard bios before trying any mods through claymore? What should be starting point and where should I be expected to get to?
2) Does anyone else have problems with their USB Risers? Mine every so often come slightly loose (think USB cable moving it) and it causes a crash. Thinking of putting cable clips on the frame to stop the cable from moving freely between GPU and risers but wondering if actually required.

Thanks

Is that in Fahrenheit? 91 is pretty high for celcius. I think you can cook an egg on there Cheesy

Issues with Vega 56:

Blockchain drivers lockup if attempting to mine with more than 1 card.
Blockchain drivers crash dual mining.

Using 17.9.2:
Can be bios modded with Vega 64 bios, however this makes mining slower slightly, and changing mem clock has no effect.
Slightly slower than blockchain drivers, but works better, and can dual mine.
Lowering power limit or dual mining without raising ~+20 makes mem constantly throttle to 700MHz.
Setting voltage doesn't really seem to affect power usage at all.
Clockspeed seems to have 0 impact on power usage, very little impact dual mining.
Setting clockspeed doesn't set at a fixed speed, it somewhat affects it, but it has a mind of its own.
Mem can be set ~950MHz, possibly up to ~980MHz.
CM 9.8 slightly faster ETH it seems.
Best profit seems dual mining ~34.5MHz ETH, 140MHz LBRY, +20% power, 1300 core, 9xx voltage.

Anyone have anything to add or suggestions?
mining monero with vega 56 better profit than dual mine and more stable
Is claymore monero miner stable for Vega?  Always seemed to have stability issues with Polaris.  Using stak miner, ~1000H/s, haven't tried CM. Stack miner gets ~4% slower mining for me on 470 samsung.

If you could post Claymore screenshot, GPU-Z screenshot as well as kill-a-watt photo, that'd be nice.

It would give credibility to the findings you reported, as apparently lots are doubtful with your experiment.

I bet many would be swayed to buy a 56 if these were indeed a fact.

No need of so much data. All you need is to run Vega with memclock 1080-1100mhs keeping gpu voltage <=900mV
gpu clock can be from ~900 to ~1400mhz.
With this you will get 43-44mhs eth or 1500-1600xmr (depending of gpu clock) with 130-160watt from the wall.
All you need is blockchain driver, win10 and HBCC mode enabled.
The main problem is to make it run under 900mV keeping memclock high.
There are several hacks to do it but they are being kept private now. Maybe soon somebody makes it public and we won't find cheap vega's at stores anymore ))

Running 950 until I test more for stability, could do up to ~980 perhaps.

Enabled HBCC, no difference.  Vega 56 can only get to ~980MHz HBM2 due to lower voltage.  I flashed a 64 bios, could increase memspeed, but didn't make difference, was actually slower. I can't use blockchain drivers because I have multiple cards, and it would always freeze with more than 1 card, even tried diff mobo. Also blockchain drivers seemed to crash dual mining. Anyone else use blockchain driver with multiple Vegas?  I use on all my 4xx/5xx cards just fine.

I am a meat Popsicle
I am using that miner to mine musicoin with my AMD r7 260x oc

i get 4.5 mh/s

is it normal or low ?

sounds about right for that card

My 24hr averages are usually very close to reported hashrate.

Even on a VEGA 64 that is OC to 41MH?

Any other GPU I've used in the past the 24 avg lines up with reported ( within ~1MH ).

Vega 64 is stuck at 32 MH for 24 hour average for me.  It lends credence to the stories about how the reported hashrate is incorrect for the VEGA 64.

My theory?  Some throttling is happening due to some setting.  In Claymore spam the statistics button 's' (I mean really spam, try to get a few reports a second).  I see it is sometimes 41 MH then sometimes I see as low as 23 MH.   I think the card is throttling for a quarter second every second or so.

Anyway, something weird is definitely going on.  I'm holding my breath for someone to post legit mining results.  Lets see your ethermine page, average and all of a OC Vega 64 running 41MH and actually getting close to that in 24hr avg.  Again, I can get my card to 41 MHs reported no problem, still comes out as 32MH for 24 hours avg.

I'm using two Vega Frontier Edition air cooled cards, which are basically Vega 64's with 16gb of vram.

You will see a worker labled c_vega_fe, this is both of my cards, one at 40Mh/s and the other at 42Mh/s.  You will also see that they were offline for a bit while I was playing, which may or may not account for the hashrate difference 81.6 reported, 78 actual.

The solo mining and low watts operation is spammed with bullshit - hashrate errors and misreported versus pool side share based hashrate.

Only bullshit here is your posts crying because you can't achieve what everyone else can.  You got problems not us.
