Hey Claymore,
Nice 4% boost for Baffins, May be another nvidia 1060 boost in next version? Still a bit behind Smiley
Good work!

I am so desperate that I will donate eth if i solve this....

6x 1070, asrock h81 btc, win 10, latest nvidia drivers, claymore 9.6, 1200w PSU, Virtual set to 16 gb.
Even at stock settings , the miner crashes, sometimes directly , and sometimes after 1-2 hours.
I have tried different nvidia drivers, and even tried previous claymore versions.
Tried swapping the cards around and setting in bios gen1/gen2 ( it should work out of the box )
I have connected the 2 molex connectors on the mobo and also having 6 powered usb risers.
Only time i can get it to go a bit longer is if i have it at stock, but change the Power target to around 60% for all cards.
I have a "wattman" and it says computer is taking 650w from the wall. but thats with low Power target, otherwise it is around 900.
When it crashes, 1 card Always dissapears , both from the miner and from Afterburner ( in AB its there but cant change anything because its grayed out ) resulting in having to reset PC.
Sometimes when it crashes , my monitor that is connected to 1 of the cards also shuts down.
Most of the times i get BSOD after the crash and if that doesnt happen, the whole computer freezes up.
I really want to Think there is enough Power to drive this with 1200w.

Edit : Just Before it crashes, my mouse curser is almost unmovable. Really laggy. But both cpu and memory are far from maxed out.
My cards temp are also not capping, just around 60.

Any ideas ?

+1 you need to unplug all of them and add one and let it run for a bit and add one at a time. Time consuming yes, but will get you to the root of thep roblem.  I had a faulty vga connecter that was my issue

Sounds like you're either overclocking too much, or one of your risers has an intermittent connection. Shady risers do all kinds of weird stuff.

I can't for the life of me get Siacoin to dual mine. Anything obvious I'm doing wrong? Ethereum runs fine, but SC never gets authorized, and my SC hash rate just sits at 0.000 MH/s and I just keep getting SC job timeouts.

My startup script:

Code:
ethdcrminer64.exe -epool eth-us-east1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal ***my ethereum info*** -epsw x -dpool stratum+tcp://sia-us-west1.nanopool.org:7777 -dwal ***my siacoin address***/***miner name***/***email address*** -ftime 10 -dcoin sia

My output (edited slightly for compactness):

Code:
ͻ
  Claymore's Dual ETH + DCR/SC/LBC/PASC GPU Miner v9.7
ͼ

Notice in there that it says ETH: Authorized, but it never says anything about SC: Authorized? I think this is my problem, but I don't know what else to do about it.

What I've tried so far, none of which have been successful:
  • Generating a new Siacoin wallet address
  • Changing my email address to a Gmail address
  • -dcri intensities from about 1 to 500
  • switching from Nanopool to Miningpoolhub
  • switching to different Nanopool servers
  • Claymore 9.5 and 9.7

Any thoughts?

Hi.
Last night has the same problem. I have the same hardware and software specs like you. After check all things, I saw a molex melted. I change the cable and works again.
Good luck.

www.ubuntu.com, 1200W is definitely too little.

850W for mainboard and 3x cards.
850W for remaining 3x cards.

Do you recommend getting a better psu or does changing to Ubuntu do any difference regarding the Power? Cant imagine that.
But my wattman says 950 when they are all on 100% Power target, that is for the whole rig...

it's like redlining your Porsche, you can go there but don't keep it there. At 950W your 1200W PSU is probably about to kick the bucket.

Was running 9.5 at 22.8Mh per card, now getting 24mh per card. Thanks claymore, definitely dont mind paying the devfee considering its paying for improvments to hashing speeds  Grin

i wonder if anyone compared claymore with older version and other mining software, is that really amd hardware problem or someone pay to criple it?

I think the architectural changes, on top of the drivers issues that Vega currently is having is the most likely culprit.

So suddenly im getting windows defender saying "ethdcrminer.exe has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware" ive added the folder and the individual .exe to the windows defender exclusion list but its still happening. Can someone help please?

My Antivirus program Webroot SecureAnywhere reports always that Claymore's miner is a Trojan, but this is a false positive alert.
Have set in SecureAnywhere the miner as allowed exception.

If I understand correctly, the DAG is meant to be randomised on the fly, but I wanted to know 2 things :-
1) Is it possible to manually set the DAG Epoch?

or

2) Does anyone perhaps have an idea what is causing this issue?

Where did you hear that? Since I started mining its only going up

Hey all,

I hope you have all been having a great weekend.

So when playing around with two 7970's I have laying around, I noticed what seems to be a relation between the DAG Epoch # set and my hashrate when running Claymore's EthDcrMiner using Nicehas running either Daggerdecred or Daggerhashimoto.

The miner has a tendency to set DAG Epoch #133 or #135, achieving a hashrate of say 25mh/s. However, when the miner sets DAG Epoch #1 (happens maybe 1/20 startups), the hashrate pretty much doubles.

If I understand correctly, the DAG is meant to be randomised on the fly, but I wanted to know 2 things :-
1) Is it possible to manually set the DAG Epoch?

or

2) Does anyone perhaps have an idea what is causing this issue?
