Someone could help me with this problem, I just started testing a R9 390 on my gamer pc but I have not been able to see the temperature of gpu. The miner is mining with no issues but I can not see the temperature of the gpu, claymore miner didnt show it. I am using Crisom 15.12 and Win8.1. From the log I only saw this error reported every few minutes:

13:41:54:290   1760   Cannot get Overdrive capabilities for adapter 0
.
.
13:41:57:326   1760   Cannot get Overdrive capabilities for adapter 0
13:42:00:368   1760   Cannot get Overdrive capabilities for adapter 0

Any advice ? If you need more info please do not hesitate to ask.

Thanks

@Claymore
You can also use environment variables in "epools.txt" and "config.txt" files. For example, define "WORKER" environment variable and use it as "%WORKER%" in config.txt or in epools.txt.

what goes in config.txt and would be in start.bat script do i use ETHadress.%WORKER% or ?

(tested on Linux)
You dont need to put pool address in config, nor command line, if all is in the epools.txt
eg my config.txt (ETH mining) is:
Code:
-mode 1 -asm 1 -etha 1
-tt 80 -tstop 90 -fanmin 50
-etht 1000 -ftime 10
-r 1 -retrydelay 5
-dbg -1 -logfile /var/log/ethdcrminer/ethdcrminer.debug.noappend.log
and my epools.txt is
Code:
POOL: eth-eu1.nanopool.org:9999, WALLET: %WALLETADDRESS%/%MINERNODE%/%MAIL%, PSW: x, WORKER: , ESM: 0, ALLPOOLS: 1
POOL: eth-eu2.nanopool.org:9999, WALLET: %WALLETADDRESS%/%MINERNODE%/%MAIL%, PSW: x, WORKER: , ESM: 0, ALLPOOLS: 1
POOL: eth-us-east1.nanopool.org:9999, WALLET: %WALLETADDRESS%/%MINERNODE%/%MAIL%, PSW: x, WORKER: , ESM: 0, ALLPOOLS: 1
POOL: eth-us-west1.nanopool.org:9999, WALLET: %WALLETADDRESS%/%MINERNODE%/%MAIL%, PSW: x, WORKER: , ESM: 0, ALLPOOLS: 1
POOL: eth-asia1.nanopool.org:9999, WALLET: %WALLETADDRESS%/%MINERNODE%/%MAIL%, PSW: x, WORKER: , ESM: 0, ALLPOOLS: 1

in the ethdcrminer.service that I've cooked I refer to an EnvironmentFile= containing the variable:
Code:
WALLETADDRESS=0x12...34
MINERNODE=myhostname
[email protected]

I hope I dit it well (please correct me), but it works well today.
all files have to be in the same directory as ethdcrminer64, pools, config and Data*.bin .
I imagine that for dpools.txt it is the same.

Yes thank you it helped but my question was not exacly related to this.

I understand that you can use something like define WORKER = WORKER1
Thats if you change servers and thinks in your bat script you do not need to think about worker.
It will every time have same worker name.

No idea if this was posted before but with ETH+PASC/PASL gets

with DCR 10. Setting any lower or higher slows down the speeds.

Yup, got the same results, running with 10.

you are correct.
more than that - I'd suggest to never install any A/V shit on your computer. If you have proper habits its really hard (and I mean REALLY hard) to get harmed by a virus/malware, however antivirus will fuck up your system (to a various degree) immediately as you install it.

EDIT: and I mean any system, not only miners

Or one good question, why you need AV on mashine what is used for mining?
Every AV can take 30-40% of your CPU so i would not have AV there.

Can you define this exacly:

I had my doubts about v9.1 performance few pages back. In the end it were stats of ethermine that got me confused

ethermine pool had some problems yesterday, a lot of people noticed it.

Is this the sha256 checksums for your Window ETH miners?

EthDcrMiner64.exe (ETH 9.1)

I've been mining Eth solo no problem on dwarfpool with this miner for a couple weeks now. After many attempts I've been unsuccessful in mining Decred also. The Ethereum pool works fine, but the Decred pool is unresponsive. I have tried multiple pools, with many different configurations in the Start.batch file, even with many different crimson editions, and even with multiple different versions of Claymore's Dual Eth. Miner. I'm still getting the same error with both of my rigs that run different cards. (Sapphire RX 470's, or XFX R9 280x's) It will say it connects with "DCR: Stratum - Connected dcr.suprnova.cc:2252" at start up, but then it gives me an error message of "DCR: Job timeout, disconnect, retry in 20 sec..." and hashes for 0.000 DCR on all gpus. Any tips to help me resolve this issue would be appreciated.
Smiley thanks.

this is not Claymore's miner issue. This is an issue with your connection to the pool. Why dont you ask Suprnova support?

I’m experiencing the same issue, solo mining working fine but setting up dual mining either one pool or both gets timeouts receiving job. Also tried different pools and versions, same problem.
Starting to suspect my external Router/FW is blocking the traffic.

@Claymore is there any expected power consumption differences between ASM 1 and ASM 2?

I did not compare them about power consumption, but they must be similar.

one question regarding pools.

friend of mine told me, to got to dwarfpool becouse you get more shares. i was almost all the time on ethermine.

so, i went to try it,and i was also more aware about the shares. i cheaced on what to mine, how much i should get with my cards (it say with 327 mh i can get 0.53 ether per day).
in dwarfpool it say, i can get only 0.48(last hours 0.46ether per day, but with 350 mhs, 23mh more that it say on wtm page). where is the catch? do i need to calculated also uncorfirmed balance?

Hello, i'm new to mining, and currently running my RX 480 8gb eth+pasc.

I was wondering if i cna throw my gtx 960 in my machine and mine with both cards, and if it would be difficult to setup.

Maybe it's impossible, maybe someone can send me in a direction where i can find more info?

GTX 960 is not profitable at all. I doubt that you want to do this exercise just for fun.

I've been running my 480 solo ETH for a while, but now I think I wanna switch to dual mining. As I can see, the hash rate for DCR is around 700. What hashrate do you get for Pascal? What is better for dual mining? Thanks

that complicates things even further...
however I still have some workers on ethermine that display very bad numbers.
will now switch to a 'clean' address and we'll see.

claymore've noticed that the hash output varies version 9.1? 28 mhs,
collapses to 21, 18, 11 also wound mh / s

Check "KNOWN ISSUES" section of Readme or OP. I try to find some workaround.

Reduce the voltage + play with dcri. Its a non issue for me on 470 with 1080:1920-2000@850-867mv at 23-24 dcri
