Just wondering what the performance difference between a 4GB and an 8GB is on the Radeon RX480?

I have a number of sapphire RX480 8GB and they hash around 300

I bought 1 Asus Dual X to try out also 8GB but it is crap@ 280 hash

Looking to try a 4GB RX480 from Gigabyte - any ideas ?

i have a G1 8G doing 330-337

Hey guys!
I'm just wondering how big PSU recommended for 6x 390 rig (little OC maybe)? 1800-2000W?
I want to run custom bios and achieve 400+ sol / card

i'm running the r9 fury with 250 watts a piece for 470 hashes each.

If you're buying brand new get RX480 and you can get away with a 1000/1200 watts PSU running 7 for the same hashrate (330*7 rx=2410 ....  400*6 R9= 2400). I think the 390x will run at around 225 a piece so you may need at a minimum 1600 watts and be careful with the 15 amps breaker. Even if the the breaker is 20 amps be careful with the wires on the wall as they may melt.

price wise you will have a better deal with with rx480 ($1400 versus $2400) for the same end result. If you wait another month for the rx580 release they will be even cheaper.

Remember mining is foremost about economics.

The R9 390x will run about 410H/s.

It is about the same speed as the R9 390.

One more strange question for anyone out there.  I've tweaked my OC settings (I have 4 identical Sapphire 470 nitro 4GB) 3 are now running 300-305 H/s and GPU3 is running 205-220 H/s.  I am at a loss why this one is so much slower???

Any help is appreciated.

Hello, Your GPU are NITRO or NITRO+ version??

I had the same problem one GPU Drops H/s, but when I turn off and disconnected PSU for a while, then turn on PSU, the problem was solved. (I tried reinstall all driver and not work, only turn off and turn on PSU was solved).

Benzo, 1120 on which clock?  Mem or GPU?

benz0, I am using Sapphire Trixx 3.0 for adjusting.

So, I went with this so far:
Original:  GPU Clock:  1236, Memory Clock: 1750, mV +0
Adjustment #1:  GPU Clock 1350, Memory Clock 1900, mV -6

-asm 0 slowed me down
-asm 1 no change
Trying -asm 2 now

One thing I noticed is temps dropped from 73 to 67

Please advise...  I am not mining with CPU, only GPU

Hey guys,
I have a rig consisting of 6 x RX 480s and I recently moved them to a rack where there is no HDMI display. When I set it to mine it starts mining, but the fans don't speed up what so ever, but because there is no extended display on one of the GPUs, I can not edit the fan speed (have tried the inbuilt fan speed setter thing and msi after burner). I have tried changing  Primary VGA (or what ever it was) to PCIE, however I just get a blank screen (so I unplug the GPUS to change it back to the IGPU).

My questions are:
- Why can't I set the fan speed
- Why can't I set Primary VGA to PCI E without just getting a blank screen.

My Rig has:
6 RX 480s
4GB ddr3 ram
Asrock H81 pro btc
1600 w PSU (yes ik it's overkill)
powered pci e risers

Thanks

Edit: I just found HDMI Emulators, I think these would work. I would buy this if there aren't any other soloutions.
For those interested: https://www.amazon.com/CompuLab-fit-Headless-Display-Emulator/dp/B00FLZXGJ6

i think no other choice,  but if you plug a monitor when msi afterburner in lauched , than you unplug the monitor, msi afterburner works till next compute reboot

For the Claymore Miner v 12.4 using 4 Sapphire RX470 Nitro 4GB, I am using this bat:

ZECMiner64.exe -zpool ssl://zec.supernova.cc:2242 -zwal username.worker -zpsw password -i 7

Im only getting about .15 zcash every 25-26 hours

What can I do to improve performance?  Miner speeds read 276 - 288, Driver date 3-16-17 version 21.19.525.258.

Which one pool is good now?

is dwarfpool just shit? and stilling shares?

Flypool is quite good.

This is also the pool I use.

Thank You, Friends!

Flypool not only steal shares but is also raided and that adds an extra 5%. Although I don't mine at dwarf because is way too small, is the only one that shows the exact hash and has the code on GitHub. Flypool hash shown is around 5% under. And then they get raided because they don't pay the mined blocks but instead pay to the miners that are mining when the block matures. If you check their stats page you'll see what I mean. You miss on 15% of earnings on the lucky hours.
