Been mining for a few months now and I have been experimenting with different settings.
Due to unstable wifi net in my office, where the landlord pays for the power Smiley I have ordered a 4G smart router with a 8GB limitation per month, to take over when the network is unstable.

Does anybody know how much traffic a hashrate produces?
I am ming with approx 2.5K sols/s and I wonder how far I will get.

Not actually understanding the difficulty setting (Noob)... I am wondering if you can use the setting -zpsw x to increase or decrease the amount of traffic on you line.

Thanks

anyone having problem with new version?
i have 3 Rx 470 2 of them ca running 280-290hs but 1 of them (number 2 ) only can get 20hs
if im using xmr/dualbtc all of them can running perfectly

i have the same problem just today after my miner restarted due to windows update

Mine for a Bit
Here is some information for some of you that may help in determining Electric Cost, Profitability and ROI (return on investment) instead of using some of those automatic calculators online.  Just substitute your values for the values given below:

Base Information:
Cost for the Rig: $1628.07
Gross Profit per day:  $7.42
Usage: 900W at the wall

Calculation for Daily Power Usage and Cost of Electricity:
Electric Cost = $0.12 cents per KW
900W / day = .900KW
.900KW x 24hrs = 21.60KW
21.60KW x $.12 = $2.59 per day for the cost of running .900KW of electric.

Net Profit:
$7.42 Gross Profit - $2.59 Electric = $4.83 per day
$4.83 x 30 days per month = $144.90 per mo

ROI:
$1628.07 Cost of Rig / $144.90 Net Profit = 11.24 months ROI

REMEMBER:  "It's about the Profit; Don't get Lost in the Challenge."

I hope this helps someone

My farm is a mess with v12.0 - i'm moving back to v11.1 until claymore sorts out all the issues with crashing GPUs etc.

The strange part is that it seems v12.0 actually messed up my Fury cards somehow so now when I revert to 11.x they still crash. Could be some kind of odd coincidence but it seems unlikely.

You've probably already tried this, but have you powered off the rig, disconnected the power cord for 15 seconds or so (to ensure the PSU drains residual current), and power on? It sounds as the the GPUs have not been fully reset after you switched back. Just a thought.

you must disconnect for much, much longer than 15 seconds.  i've noticed these devices have tremendous capacitance, on the order of minutes.

if you didn't see magic smoke, it's not likely claymore's latest actually broke anything, but this tip of disconnecting is a good one because AMD cards seem to like to crash HARD and not easily reset.

I doubt if cooling the cards has something with it. Like waiting cards to completely cool down. Like some PSU thermal protection circuits?

All crashes on 3 rigs with RX480/470 fixed:

1. use amdcleanuputility.exe
2. install Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-16.12.2-Dec19

works great with -i 8

modded rx 470 -285 h/s (80W in Afterburner), modded rx480 - 305 h/s (86W in Afterburner), modded HD7950 - 245 h/s (around 110w I think). Very nice results Claymore, you made equihash most profitable algo at nicehash again.

would you pls post your settings?

BR
rx470 4gb: one has 1256 mhz and other has 1260 mhz stock clocks, mem clock is 1750 mhz. Voltage is 985 mV.
rx480 8gb: core clock is 1266 mhz stock and mem clock is 2000 mhz. Voltage is 961 mV.
hd7950 3gb: core clock is 900 mhz, mem clock is 1250 mhz all stock. Voltage is 956 mV.

Thanks alot. but one thing i dont get i was searching and searching and then i gaved up.
In Afterburner the Core Voltage (mV) is set to 0. what do i change there? i can change from -100 to +100.

BR

You change mVolts. If your card is running on 1120 mV and you change it to -100 then you get 1020 mV. But I couldn't lower it more so I changed it in gpu's bios to 985 mV

is it save to change it to -100? sry for the noob question but i have no clue of undervolting and what will happen if i undervolt to much.

BR
I think it is safe. If you undervolt too much, card frezzes and you need to restart computer.

4x 280x, 1 of my cards restarts the rig even without asm and with i 0, I can't reduce it any lower, had to revert to 11.1, no OC at all.

The same problem here. One of my 280x hangs causing multiple restarts of the watchdog!  Never happened before!
I've been having same problem , at this point a clean reinstall of 15.12 seems to have my 9xR9 280x in 2 rigs at i 5 and i 4,4,6,7 getting avg 300 h/s for 2+ hrs

I could do 6/6/1/5 for a few hours, then I kept going lower to have no restarts every 2-3-4hours and in the end everything crashes, even with i 0. I know one of my cards is a bit trashed, can only go at low clock mem but it does go for years like that with an other algo or miner, so it's not like the card shat itself completely, it had a 400hour uptime with 11.1 before I switched.

Try disconnecting card by card, and cleaning pins on graphics card, also clean pins on extender cable that goes to mainboard,
with (i know it's funny, but works) simple toilet paper slice, reconnect it all back,
put intensity -i 4 , clocks 1030-1040 gpu / 1500 mem , and test again.

This miner needs a bit higher voltages than before (or lower clock - whatever you choose).

Also, on this version of miner, some "weakly connected cards" or bad extenders are showing their true nature...

as i tested, drivers have nothing with it, at least in my case(s).
15.12, 16.10.x, 16.11.x ... all works normal (some crashed, but after cleaning pcie-extenders, all gone well).

For 280X cards I need to reduce intensity to 4, with -i 5 freeze after a few hours even  with no OC. No problem so far for other cards with default intensity. (v12.0)

Constantly getting "GPU #1 returned incorrect data!" on v12.0
v11.1 works fine.
Virtual memory size = 16Gb

SET GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1
SET GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
SET GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
SET GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
SET GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

are set

UPD. In my case they are set via SETX but I think it doesn't matter.

Same here as well. Gpu 1 incorrect data. 7970. Finally pulled the card and put in a 390x. All is well. Funny was that after running v12. That 7970 does same now on v11.1. Think it wiped out my card.  Def some bugs in the new release. Save yourself some headaches and move to v11.1 if you can't get stability. At least it will run more than a few hours.  Also same rig when it would drop to 0 hash on a different random card before replacing 7970 it would start getting socket errors. Then pc was no longer accessible via team viewer. Had to manually reboot Computer. Great effort claymore. I am getting over 400 sols on 390x. Those seem to have no issues running v12.

BR

Same here with my 7990. I reduced mining intensity from 5 (default) to 4 and seems the issue is solved.

The 11.1 settings on my 290x didn't work. No more oc and not as aggressive under volt
