Yikes!

ZEC and ETH mining profits are yearly lows.

GPU dumping is already starting on this forum and ethereum forum.

All my GPUs are ROI'd except the damn 470s. Paid well over ~$220/each for them about 3 months ago, need another month or two to ROI.

Best GPUs were probably the 7950s, second hand for $80 and they are pretty much worth the same amount today.

The Antminer S7 has caught my eye, however the Bitcoin difficulty is also skyrocketing as we speak. X11 is done due to some Chinese ASICs that are dominating all the hashpower and flooding the market with X11 chips. Scrypt is CRAZY expensive. 2 year ROI. Pretty much we are out of options.

zec-eu1.dwarfpool.com     eu-server 20h mining with 1333 Sol/s = 0.145623 ZEC =======>0,131 per day/1000sol/s
zcash.flypool.org             eu-server 32h mining with 1333 Sol/s =  0.16034 ZEC =======>0,09021 per day/1000sol/s
zec-eu1.dwarfpool.com     eu-server 25h mining with 1333 Sol/s = 0.17624300 ZEC =====>0,1269 per day/1000sol/s

What hashrate can you get from R9 290? What wattage?

Have the option to get used one for cheap so need to calculate approx roi. Thx

I would ballpark about 300 watts for about... Maybe something like 275 sol/s. I have a 390, running at 1050/1500 and I'm doing 285-290 sol/s, and from what I've heard, that pulls around 300 watts...

So with my electricity cost, suppose I get a 290 for $150 and my electricity cost 4 cents/kwh (lucky its cheap where I am), CoinWarz says I ROI in 130 days... So even that isn't great with my cheap electricity. And that doesn't take into account 12.5 block reward that may lower prices further due to more supply...

I think you'll probably break even eventually, but keep in mind that a lot of this is totally about speculation/the fun of it. Wouldn't bet the barn on mining zcash. At least as of today. I expect a modest ROI, but it's still mostly a hobby. If it pays off in the longrun, that's great, I have no intention of cashing out. But don't get too excited. lol

How can anyone be so stupid to trust this "newbie" who is stealing Claymore's dev fee?! Don't you think he will steal from you?

And all this sh*t for 1% fee reducing?! And you pay for that guy's piece of sh*t instead of supporting Claymore to develop/improve the miner?!

I hope only a few idiots will buy that garbage..

I'm f***** pissed off..........%$?ß÷/×!!!

Not just stupid, but also rude.

This guy is selling his theft-ware right in front of Claymore on Claymore's thread.  Then these guys have the brass to buy the theft-ware and bitch about performance right in front of Claymore on Claymore's thread.

Absolutely no common decency. Can't even take it to their own doucher thread.

as I'm reading further and further it seems our technical engineer did an awful mistake buying http://www.zalman.com/contents/products/view.html?no=96 these PSUs for 3x rx480 8g

Guys... This is Claymore's  Z miner tread. So many treads about mining are there. Noone will teach you here the basics. Bottom line: IT IS 24/7 LOAD, SAME AS FOR SERVERS. Learn first. ( 3 cards that can pull 150-200W + 60w rest - wants PSU 750 GOLD minimum to operate almost normally. Though I saw PSUs that are overloaded heavilly for years but that is VERY rare )

no i retire overclock! in what topic  you tell this ?

Is the Sol Coin is better to mine than eth?

Dear ffthomas

This values ?

Just FYI: with Sapphire "ref" RX470 4GB cards I get 202-206sols/s using WattTool with 1200Mhz+1000mV GPU and 1750Mhz+950mV memory settings and -5x6.25mV voltage offset. Heat and wattage reduced significantly. I use 16.10.3 driver, Win10 OS, CZM 9.1 (-i 6) and all cards are connected with powered riser (6 GPUs/rig). You don't need to overclock the 470 to get 202-206sols/s.

im can miner Sol and Eth at same time ?

my psu is that

Thanks
Almir

Download WattTool and try to use the settings I mentioned in the previous post.

What type of PSU do you have? Did you overclock the cards or use modded bios?
That is your problem. Not enough for 2 470.

Man, Your PSU is definitely NOT FOR MINING!
You should buy something that is at least 80+ Gold Certified.

Current price of Platinum certified PSUs makes them better choice for mining. Of course don't look just for certification, look instead for respectable brand and read reviews.

Update: I got another speedup for some cards, for example, I see almost 330H/s on stock 390X, but due to a compiler bug it does not work for Polaris yet. I will release new version as soon as I make it work there.
