Definitely ETC + Sia better than Zec currently  Sad

Not if you are paying power eth + SIA is power hungery by like 30% , Eth alone uses a bit more power than ZEC alone so its a no brainer to mine ZEC if you have power over .10

If you have the R9 280 or 7970, it is better to mine the ZEC. If you have the RX 470 or 480, it is better to mine the ETH now.

Just thought I would share my benchmarking of the R9 nano.

All power measurements were done at the wall to be 100% accurate.
Benchmarks were done with  Claymore ZEC - v8.0 (-i 4)

Stock:
1 gpu: ZEC: 272 h/s Watts: 200w

-100mV ROM
1 gpu: ZEC: 211 h/s Watts:  91w

-125mV ROM
1 gpu: ZEC: 217 h/s Watts: 90w

you are missing a -100 core undervolt benchmark for stock

I couldn't do -100 undervolt on stock. The most it will let me undervolt is 75 and it made very little difference.

I will be changing the wiki page and add another Column for Miner version. I'm on my way to work right now, but the changes will happen within 6 hours. I will be providing a New Link if needed.

We need a spreadsheet like this.

Every share sent is weighted by the pool with the difficulty of the share. Sending a lot of low difficulty shares won't earn you anything more than sending 4 times less shares with 4 times more difficulty
There is a case where you may want low difficulty shares. If you have bad internet connection where an established connection may be lost, you may lose share because when you send it, it will not be delivered (in time or at all). In that case a share that costs a lot may be worse case than few low cost shares. Of course, TCP should guarantee the delivery, but in real life you still may have "connection lost" reports. So not being a recommendation, this could be a reason for static difficulty port.

Did some tests yesterday, and found an unsuspected result : with lower difficulty shares, I get more watts at the wall ! (went from 445w to 456w for the whole rig, difficulty from +/- 16k to 2048)

Marvell is correct.

using AB, crank down core to -100 -mV or -96 mV, you can easily get 150watts on stock card - it's a easily forgiving card.

Go mine on Dwarfpool!!! No stealing shares  like other pools..... I switched from flypool to dwarfpool, and I have 15% more shares!!!(my real shares)

@bitbit017 .. are you sure about it? what speed you have ?  idk, but something is wrong there today... and im not much impressed about shares...  my increase is just in the rejected ones, as i moved from 0,15%/0,25% to actual 0,76%/1,31% of rejected shares...

also my income is not impressive atm.. after 13h have just 0,072 ZEC with 2,7kh/s  Shocked lets see what will be the result after 24h.....

does anyone else have some experience ??

Yes I'm right about that... My real power is about 11200Sol/s with v8!! I mined in  flypool from begining. I never saw a peak power greater than 10700sol/s in flypool. My average effective hashrate was about 10200sol/s in flypool. In dwarfpool my average hashrate it's about 11200sol/s or greater and it's exactly my power. The only thing that dwarfpool needs it's more users, to have more power to find more blocks.......
Flypool is PPLNS, dwarfpool is HBPPS

I used dwarfpool back in the ETH days for many reasons
But the fact is that dwarfpool lost the ZEC train out of complacency
Needs a lot more time and luck to be worth it to use dwarfpool for ZEC
Now it has 350 workers approx. and it mines 1-2 blocks per day

Let's see workers get to 5000 and then we can start thinking of using it again
Because it really sucks to mine all night with 2.000h/s and get nothing in the morning

Hey Claymore, ever since I've started to use the new v8, I've been facing many crashes while using Photoshop or any other such software. It's really annoying and I've tried all the possible intensities as well as other overclocking stuff, but unable to fix it. One thing I've done along the usage of your new version is the driver update. Do you think that it could be happening because of the new driver version of Crimson or is it any known issue of your new miner's version?

Using RX 480's by the way...

You cannot use your rig while mining.
Just let your Machine to Mine only thats it  Grin

..or you can stop mining only for 1 card (use the numbers on your keyboard to turn on/off mining on each card) and you get the resources you need. the other cards can work on mining onwards.
This is what I do.

At what max temps should I keep my R9 390s?
At what temps do you keep them?

Anyone has any good BIOS mod for them?

in general is the rule, low temps are prolonging the lifespan of the components.... (heat kills them..)

so try to get them as cold as you are possible, in the cost efficient way...

my temps are between 52°C - 71°C ...(fans between 70%-75%)

try to make the best airflow in the rig, and place the GPUs properly.. idk how much space u have.. Wink

With 52c and 70% fan speed, you will be replacing a lot of fans with no gain in longevity.
Use box fans and try to turn down the gpu fans to 40-50%.
Anything under 80c will work for years.

Hello
I have an issue around claymore zcash miner. After 10-60 min of the starting mine I get following error .I have tried win7-8.1 with various AMD drivers such as 15.12 and 16 series even several risers but this error still remains.Core clock and voltage are default values moreover I have created reboot.bat file but after auto restarting of miner, GPU 1 won't work and it gives me 0 hash but GPU 0 still works properly.
I have 2 ASUS r9390x dc2 on each mainboard and all of mainboards have this error. Moreover, I set the virtual memory 20GB (I have 4gb physical memory) even tried GPU downclock but got that error each time!!
Please fix this bug in next version or give me a solution.

Uhh, this couldn't be farther from the truth. I use my rig with 2 480's in it all day while mining 24/7.  I don't have any issues, other then things that require GPU acceleration, for that i can just stop mining until I'm done.

This is weird... one of my 290's is kicking ass today and I don't know why..

Yeah, I've noticed something like that, one of my 480's was getting 40H/s faster then the other, then the next day they where both at 200, and now one is at 180 and the other is at 170.

Perhaps your internet? Or connection to the pool?

Internet what??  My Internet 1gb/s download bad???
Connection is eu in flypoll

Download doesn't really matter, mining uses no bandwidth basically. How is your ping?

Im used that riser usb 3...my problam today solved with restart computer and restart claymore
