Confirmed issue with rejects if you specify different values for "-i" parameter, for example, "-i 1,2". Will be fixed in next update. Speed improvements will be included too Smiley

For anyone with R9 290 REFERENCE with STILT BIOS with ELPIDA memory , I found the sweet spot

1100/1450 Or 1050/1450  you should get 95 Sol/s

This is with a crappy Celeron using "-i 0"

470 is 4gb or 8gb

What speed at gpu and memory is custom rom

4gb 1150/1950 homemade roms

Nota: cpu usage is 1-2% with SA for those with weak cpus

At least on a low end cpu i-0 provides the highest hashrates on 4.0.  Thanks Claymore!  No complaints about fee whether Eth miner or Zcash. EVER!

Confirmed on Pentium G3240. i-0 Getting 75-80 with both rx470s and 480s under 50% cpu.

Changing to i-2 lowers H/s by 5-15 and at least 75% cpu use at all times.

Thank you Claymore, you deserve the fee for your work!

Big breakthrough on silentarmy side, I get now 85 S/s per RX 470

Total 173.4 sol/s [dev0 87.8, dev1 87.5] 9 shares
Total 174.1 sol/s [dev0 85.8, dev1 87.6] 9 shares
Total 173.7 sol/s [dev0 85.2, dev1 86.0] 9 shares

is that miner still Linux only?

@Claymore
looks like some sync related bug - I've got a mixed rig here: it has 370, 470 and 480s.
If I run different intensity (2 for 400 and 1 for 370) I get about 15% of shares rejected.
If all is set to "-i 2" - no problem, rejects below 1%

What rates are you getting for your 370 and what clock settings?
It hashes 38-41H/s
I'm now running stock 985&1400 (since v3.1 it became extremely unstable on higher freq, was running 1080&1500 before)

Try 1375 on the mem. The range from 1376 - 1500 uses looser timings, so it's probably worth the 25MHz drop.

Thanks for the tip! It does now 40-42 and almost never goes below 40

yeah second that.  use 4.0 with -i 0

Actually, just that.... Even with my RX480s and a 4.4GHz 4790k i7 pumping them, -i 0 is faster than 1 and 2. Your results of course may vary, but with these things you have to trial and error.

Same here - 4 rigs with 6 RX480's - all with Celeron procs - run very nice with -i 0

I also have found very little actual difference between -0, 1, or 2 as far as shares reported to the pool. I had a couple of rigs start off on 2 and crash after a few minutes. I lowered them down to 0 and noticed the shares/hash did not really seem to change that much. It is much more stable though on 0 and the CPU usage drops a bit, although I didn't really notice a huge difference there either.

what is this "brake pedal" you speak of?
Can anyone tell me your speed with R9 380 4gb? I'am getting roughly 45 Sols/s.
mine 380 2G doing around 42-44

my 2 GB sapphire nitro 380ITX  (1100/1400) gets 48-50 -i 1  v4.0

Anyone here running R9 290 REFERENCE with STILT BIOS?

Trying to get a good speed but I am stuck at 85 Sol/s with "-i 0" at 1050/1250.

According to his BIOS manual

The recommended memory frequency is 1375MHz - 1450MHz for Elpida and 1375MHz - 1475MHZ for Hynix.

However I am getting the same speed with any memory clock.

290x ref with Stilt BIOS, yes.... But all my 290x do 80~90 sol/s with 1000/1250.

Like you say, changing memory speed does nothing, as does changing GPU speed. I think in my case either the CPU(Celeron G1840) or PCIe bus is holding them back. I have an i3 4170 coming soon to see what difference, if any, that makes. Also going to try changing all the PCIe slots to gen 2, as the ones on gen 1 setting appear to be the slower ones.

i'm going to try some BIOS mods tonight, tighter timings etc as most of my 290x are using stock memory straps/timings. I've only modified them to drop voltage.

GPU 3

What exactly does GPU 3 mean / imply?
if you have 2 core gpu then v4 log files seems to name each core a single gpu whereas previous versions listed a 2 core gpu as 1 single gpu in the log file
