Adjust the power limit and be happy 54~56 Hash/s with RX480 8GB

dude you getting 52sol/s on that card alone?

What did you do?

HD7950=RX480 with 50 h/s
OMG!
Yap  Grin it's great .. the only problem is that 7950 consume a little bit more then RX480 (  from what I saw , one 7950 consume ~ 270 w)

for litecoin not zec or eth. consume half that

ETH is about 30% more hungry on power than ZEC ming

What gpu-z are reporting is irrelevant.
That number is what the gpu onboard your card are pulling, not all the rest.

It's not irrelevant, it's just not a real figure as those measured at the wall.

I've mined with 270x, 7950, 7850, 7970, and I know what I'm talking about!

Old cards are very inefficient. That's a fact!

Besides being noisy and generating a lot of heat.

GPU-Z readings are a good way to compare efficiency between different cards, or different setting for the same card.

Therefore, they're not irrelevant. In fact, they are very useful  Grin

wow nice man....

I have the 8gb version....do you have any settings for those cards?

This is my config.txt:

-zpool zec-eu1.nanopool.org:6666
-zwal [ZEC address]
-zpsw x
-allpools 1
-ftime 15
-dbg -1
-tt 75
-ttli 85
-tstop 90
-cclock 900
-cvddc 800
-mclock 1750
-mvddc 800
-powlim -10

It works flawlessly fot the Sapphire RX 480 Nitro+ OC 4GB

Give it a try  Cheesy

How many sol/s are you getting with that and how many watts, psu?

Thanks dude, appreciate it...

Next update is bug-fixes only.
300ms is a server response time, it depends on your internet connection, pool location and its quality.

Please, launch linux version!!!

a bit more?Huh

I'm getting ~35 sols out of my RX 480 4GB consuming less than 40 watt!!!

No heat, no noise, no GPU stress!

That's efficiency!

Stock BIOS is best to use with 4XX cards here.  Actually got better speeds when flashing back to stock from my ETH mod BIOS.
What hashrate do you get with stock bioses ?

My numbers with strap modded bioses.
470: 45-46 s/s
480: 49-50s/s

what config you use clock, mem, times ?
470: GPU: stock, Mem: 1940Mhz. 1500strap mod
480: GPU: stock, Mem: 2200Mhz. 1500strap mod
Bat file made to restart claymore miner once per hour.

setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

Miner is working fine but I noticed it disconnects and joins "flypool and nanopool" ....much longer then 90 sec if thats for the dev?

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.16777816

Thank you...
Can we expect better speeds on the 470 and 480 cards in your next update?
Also when I find shares it says (300ms and over) How can I make that faster?
Thanks

Next update is bug-fixes only.
300ms is a server response time, it depends on your internet connection, pool location and its quality.

Thank you....

Will that affect my shares or how fast I can find sol/s?

Also, when my miner disconnects and joins those other random pools does that go to my zec wallet until you fix the problem?

Do you see more sol/s for those cards though? any room to move?

EDIT: Another general improvement in this context: after third unsuccesful connection attempt it still waits 20 seconds before trying to connect with next failover pool. Also not the optimum in this place. If using shorter failover recovery times this sums up to quite some percent of the overall hash power.

Ok I will add an option to adjust default 20sec delay.
