May I ask which fans you used?

The ones Phillipma1957 suggested. I picked them up from newegg though.

Hey Philip it's still in the mid 80's here. You can't see it in the image but there is a window A/C directly behind those prismas blowing right into the intake fans.

Hey Phillipma1957 I got the fans in. I have the push/pull effect now using the 2 fans and man things are quieter. The fan controller I'm using is the NZXT Sentry Mix2 with 6 20 watt channels.

nice .

as for my 10g a test the f'ing post office dropped the new plugs off but the wire comes tomorrow.

I did measure meant and the 14ga stock uses 25-50 more watts running 3 s-3's  vs a 12 ga cord

makes sense as the 14g a cords rate to 1400 watts or so and the 12 ga rate to 1800 watts.

now if it is cold in your area and you open the window behind those units you can run them at least 10 or 20 higher freq and still get 98%.

see the test bench with 2 asiminer tubes 2 r-boxes and 3 grid seed blades window open lower fan pulled hot air out

upper fan blows cold air in.  when it got to 50F outside the units cooled off and ran much better.

I believe GrapeApe is using the EVGA 1300 G2 without issue. You just need to split the multi connector pcie cables over multiple blades so that each cable is carrying an equal load. At 1200 watts, that would put around 200 watts on each cable. In this configuration, each blade will have one single connector pcie cable and 1 half of a  a dual connector pcie cable. This will only work on PSUs with a shared rail on the pcie output.

Correct I am using 1 EVGA 1300 G2 per Prisma. It has 6 PCIe cables 2 of which has double connectors. I am using the stock power cord with no issues. Phillipma1957 is suggesting making it a bit more efficient with a larger power cord.

OK, good to know. And hypothetically, if I used this G1600, how many watts would be on each cable? 1200W/8 cables = 150 per cable in that case? Or is it not that cut and dry?

So the stock EVGA 1300 G2 won't work unless we change the stock cord? I am going to try to use a LEPA 1600w which is 15 amp (180W) per PCI-connector and it has 8 of them. (30 per socket x 4 rails (total of 6 rails on the PS) 12v3-12v6. Is it enough power for the Prisma? I am thinking yes, because 12v x 30amps = 360w. Anyway, I will let you know....

I run two S3s which are 340w on each of the 3 socket on the Lepa G1200, so I think I am good to go here.  (I run a total of 6 S3's on each Lepa 1200W)

I bought this 1600W on ebay used, it was $140+ SH (I made best offer). He has more of them, mine you I haven't tested the Prisma yet but will very soon.

I use this power supply a lot at work, powering four EVGA GTX 980 SC for CUDA 24x7 operations. Currently working on getting an 7-8 GPU box Smiley

I also have Kill-a-Watt so I can compare the Watts at the wall, it would be good to compare it against a 2 PSU setup.

2 x EVGA G2 750W PSUs work great & are quite a bit cheaper than going a 1 psu route...

The RPI image should be good to go, I'm just waiting on my usb-uart adapters so I can test it out.

Prismas are on the move again and I hope to have batch 2 and some of batch 3 very soon.

Hey CrazyGuy how is it going on that image for the RPI? I know you said you were working on it the other day just curious as to how you're making out on it. Also Philipma1957 just wondering if you made that new wire yet and if you did, do you have any new numbers yet? I am just waiting for your numbers before I buy the 12/3 or the 10/3. Would you also happen to know where I could pick up more wires for the evga 1300G2 I got from you? I found them but they are crazy expensive. Im sure someone on this forum makes them, I have just yet to find anyone making/selling them. Thanks

just a little bit more time.

the post office is dropping them off today.

I think the 12 gauge will be good enough.

it does much better then the stock 14 ga.

the 14 ga rates for

the 12 ga rates for 1875 watts and the evga 1300 pulls 1250   so it runs cool.

I will post more info on this tonight.  I will have 2 new cords built and test them.

I found a great way to get a true number on the k-watt meters  and will post.

I see this thread pop up all the time and everytime I look at I think "damn thats a good deal" (in a US cowboy voice)

I live in the UK and Im trying wrap my head around the price, so its 1.47 bitcoin plus shipping. This includes a full unit with all four cards and total hash rate of 1.4TH.

Thanks

Not all of us are cowboys. 1.47 full unit. We pay for shipping from CrazyGuy as as he is buying from Asicminer in lots of ten. His profit comes from dealing with high anxiety people like me.
