I am getting some errors with long poll recently on mtred

Code:
mtred.com:8337 06/07/2011 12:31:22, long poll exception:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/home/bitcoin/poclbm/BitcoinMiner.py", line 338, in longPollThread
    (connection, result) = self.request(connection, url, self.headers)
  File "/home/bitcoin/poclbm/BitcoinMiner.py", line 311, in request
    result = loads(response.read())
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/json/__init__.py", line 307, in loads
    return _default_decoder.decode(s)
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/json/decoder.py", line 319, in decode
    obj, end = self.raw_decode(s, idx=_w(s, 0).end())
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/json/decoder.py", line 338, in raw_decode
    raise ValueError("No JSON object could be decoded")
ValueError: No JSON object could be decoded

poclbm is mining but gives this error continually

Ok.. seems that is a bug on poclbm that was fixed yesterday
https://github.com/m0mchil/poclbm/commit/cdf3b3cc65d4d0a89251c6a92c38c5f3d943ebf1

Not ok... continues to happen.

Not sure if it's pool problem or poclbm one https://github.com/m0mchil/poclbm/issues/18

A suggestion...

Could you please include the current hashrate of all user's workers (the sum of all) in the dashboard?? I really miss it

Thanks!

Well it appears there are a lot of mining networks jumping around and causing havok on the various pools.  I think we admins should get a list of subnets that have cpu botnets or something.

Well looks like they are gettting it good now.  Workers are sitting idle.  so now we start pool hopping.......

I switched over from btcguild, for the most part it's working though the workers go idle very briefly here and there.

If any admins can confirm, I had to block 204.9.55.* (if this is you, message me as I have an idea how to utilize all those cpus with breaking the mining ops)

Looks like they are still attacking.  My GPU miners disconnected.

That IP looks like it's stemming from the pan handle of Florida.

Mt. Red is down?  The GH/s is down on Mt Red.  Miners are not able to connect...

DDoS attack or something?
I think that there is a problem as well, these numbers look down by more than two thirds
                US                    EU                    ∑
Pool Size:    73.9021 GH/s    36.8795 GH/s    110.7816 GH/s

It could be a DDoS, every other pool is being hit with DDoS.

EDIT: It may be related to the CPU botnet miner attacking btcguild. The DDoS there would cause people to migrate to other pools. And a rapid userbase expanse over a few minutes would have a similar effect to a DDoS attack. It could be that.

Hey, yes I don't think its an intentional ddos, but a huge subnet of cpu miners have been hold socket resources.  Most likely the same the was mining on other pools as well.

If any admins can confirm, I had to block 204.9.55.* (if this is you, message me as I have an idea how to utilize all those cpus with breaking the mining ops)

Love Mt.Red.

Can we get a sum total of our hash rate on the miner page?
 Smiley
I'm sure that would be a quick add...

Thank you Mt. Red.
